My husband, mother-in-law and I came down to Cape Coral for the first time to meet our newborn twin grandbabies and could not have picked a better place to stay! This was our first time renting a place through VRBO and it won’t be the last (for using VRBO or for staying at Villa Mama if Marion will have us again)! The house was absolutely beautiful, most everything in and around the house was spotless* upon arrival and in working order** and the Owner/Manager even left us some key incidentals until we were able to get to the store (dish and laundry detergent, toilet tissue, roll of paper towels, liquid soap at every sink, plenty of beach and bathroom towels and several hard seltzers in the fridge).
Marion could not have more responsive or accommodating at every step - thank you, Marion! She was immediately responsive to my initial inquiry (within 8 hrs of my 11:30pm email) approving our request and including pictures of their boat and an offer to let us rent it for the week (which we declined this time only because we weren’t going to be able to take advantage of it and use it while spending time with our 6 week old little ones). When I texted her from the airport after landing at 1pm to request an early check-in, she immediately called me to let me know it was all ready and we could head over ASAP.
We only had two issues in the house during our stay:
* The pool was one of the main selling points of Villa Mama for us but the floor surfaces weren’t as super clean as the rest of the property but Marion rectified this. As soon as I texted Marion about this on the morning of the 2nd day, she immediately called me back, apologized and contacted the pool cleaning company to swing by as soon as possible to clean it - they were there by the time we got back from Publix and we were able to use it 2 hrs later. (The pool was beautiful, the water was crystal clear, and the waterfall was perfect, but there was some dirt on the bottom - after cleaning it we enjoyed it for the rest of our stay.
**The TV in the 2nd bedroom (where my mother-in-law - who always sleeps w the tv on every night was staying) was not working - it had no cable tv connection at all and there was no TV in the 3rd bedroom at all (but we didn’t have anyone staying in that room - if we did, we’d want it to have a tv). Marion called immediately, had the manager bring us a cable cord but it still didn’t work.
We still give 5 stars bc it is that great but would love 3 TVs :)!
