Modern Mountain describes our brand new 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 2,500 square foot home which is located just across highway 550 from Purgatory Resort and is 24 miles north of downtown Durango (less than a 30 minute drive).

Enjoy the convenience of being adjacent to Purgatory Ski Resort, yet have the privacy and additional space of a house with a two car garage. The resort is both an amazing winter playground, and offers a wealth of all your favorite mountain activities in a cool and comfortable summer climate at 8,900 feet in elevation. For ease, there is a free on-demand shuttle to the ski resort.

The brand new custom home features high end finishes and has been outfitted to be the ultimate vacation rental including great out door space, a hot tub, gas fire pit, Weber BBQ grill and outdoor dining table. The main living space features a pool table (which also converts to a ping pong table), a gas fireplace and views of the forest while the loft contains an arcade game featuring Pac Man and 7 other classic video games. The home is perfect for 2 families with 2 Master Bedrooms and the endless list of amenities. The attached garage has parking for 1 vehicle (owners park their vehicle on one side) with space for 2 additional cars in the driveway.

The home backs up to national forest land and is located near the Purgatory Flats trail head, one of the finest and most scenic hikes in the area as well as a small stocked lake for fishing and a playground and in winter, there is a cross country ski trail within walking distance.

Main Bedroom - King Bed with TV and Ensuite Bath (Main Floor)
2nd Bedroom - King Bed with TV and Ensuite Bath (2nd Floor)
3rd Bedroom - 3 XL Twins with TV (1 Trundle Beds) (2nd Floor)
4th Bedroom - 2 XL Twins with TV (2nd Floor)

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).

4WD is NOT required in winter as access to the home is via paved roads..

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied.

For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.
