Wonderfully cozy little home

Owner gave great information including things to see and do in the area. The property is right next to a relatively active thoroughfare but that was made clear in the listing. I had wanted to stay in a tiny home for a while to see what it was like. And I LOVED it! Could definitely see living in one. Overall, a good experience. My only comment is on the number of buggy friends that hung out with me inside but that is to be expected in such a rural setting.

We appreciate honest feedback and are always striving to improve our guests' experience. I spoke to Kristin about the bugs she mentioned in this review, because we clean the tiny house ourselves and have never seen any evidence of bugs. We determined that the bugs she saw were flies and box elder bugs, which were not present earlier that day when we cleaned. We believe that she must have left a door or unscreened window open for a period of time for them to get in. Kristin is right that our property is located on a 10 acre farm with farm animals, so flies and other insects are present outside. To avoid letting flying insects into the house, I recommend keeping the door closed and using the screened windows for fresh air. We're glad to hear that Kristin otherwise enjoyed her stay, and that she has been into another tiny house lover.

Great Tiny House

Such a wonderful tiny house. They have literally thought of everything when putting it together. The location is just out of town and close to all sorts of outdoor adventures. Will definitely stay again!!!

Hotchkiss Tiny House

Everthing was wonderful. The tiny house was clean and very comfortable. The only thing I would have to say it about the location. The traffic of the highway was rather distracting from the quiet of the location. But that is not something that could be changed.

Perfect place to explore the area. Best tiny home ever!

We could not have been happier with our stay here so I will try to be as detailed as possible. On the day of check in, the host gave very detailed instructions on how to find the tiny house. We arrived before dark, but it should still be super easy to find in the dark as there are lights on the outside of the house. Upon entering, there is a small foyer area with a place to put shoes, hang bags, etc. and bulletin board with info. The kitchen is very spacious for a tiny home and super clean. There is plenty of counter space and the sink is deep. The bathroom is also great and larger than other tiny home bathrooms we’ve seen. The shower head is nice and everything was fully functional. We loved the cozy living area under the loft and small fireplace. There was enough floor space to leave our suitcase open the entire time we stayed. The fridge has a small freezer that was large enough to hold a few ice packs for our cooler. The host leaves snacks, coffee, and a really good selection of tea. The ladder leading up to the loft is easy to climb and felt secure. Bed was clean and comfortable. The wifi was very fast. The views from the house are beautiful and there is a nice place to sit outside. Friendly hosts! This is the perfect spot to visit the north and south rims of Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Can’t wait to come back someday!

Great Tiny Home

This was a great spot for the last leg of our vacation. Such a great location and organized space to still allow for our traveling necessities! Super happy we picked the North Rim side and this property!
