Everything was extremely easy from reservations to check-in. The communication was great. The accommodations were excellent and the location perfect for our three generation family and all had a great time.
This is our fifth year coming to Maine and this house was by far the best. It was a great location, close to a lot of towns. It had the best stocked kitchen, we did not need to buy anything. It was nice to enjoy the pond and go kayaking. Great place to rest and relax with amazing views.

A property perfect for large groups and family gatherings. The spaces are generous and well appointed, with wonderful settings for recreation and contemplation. The kitchen is the best stocked we’ve ever experienced at a vacation rental. And the lake is a dream. The property exceeded all our expectations!

Thank you Jody - we are so happy you appreciated and enjoyed the property! It was a pleasure having you.
What a spectacular property. Beautiful setting on Taylor Pond and a well appointed house which was comfortable and had everything we needed for a cozy weekend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Summerfell. Taylor Pond is quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding (rented paddle board in Portland on our way). The house had everything we needed and the owners were responsive when we had a minor issue. We hated to leave!
Our family had a wonderful week due to the beautiful location on Taylor’s Pond. Family members with different interests could enjoy the property by either relaxing by the lake or being more active with the kayaks and lake equipment. The location is very family friendly. The house is spacious, clean and very well maintained. We definitely hope to be back.

Thank. you so much for this lovely testimonial Alison - we do hope you will be back one day!
Three generations of our family came together from several compass points. This large property had plenty of room inside and out for active kids, their parents and aunt, and grandparents too.
We made many memories and meals together in the well-appointed gourmet kitchen. The older generation appreciated being able to retreat to the separate guest apartment for quit time. The outdoor toys and waterfront were well used during our stay.

Dear Andrew - thank you for this glowing review. It was a pleasure hosting you and thank you for being such wonderful guests.
The property is lovely-- just like the pictures. Great morning sun and afternoon shade, nice swimming, comfortable beds, great kitchen and really nice places to sit in groups outside. We also really enjoyed the lounge floats. I wish other reviews had noted that linens are not provided in the summer months-- bringing all of our own towels, sheets, bathmats, dishtowels etc was a bit of an unpleasant surprise. It is written in the description but easy to miss.

Thank you for this beautiful review Maura. We hope you enjoyed the sheets that we arranged specially for your stay. You will be happy to know that we have changed our policy for Summer 2025 and we are going to see how it goes providing sheets all summer long!! We would love to host you and your family again some other time.
We had such a delightful experience at this magical property. The location and setting are stunning and feel very private and secluded, but you are just minutes away (about 10-15) from the Bates College campus and Lewiston/Auburn. The house is perfectly appointed with extremely comfortable beds and linens and a kitchen any chef would love. Our hosts responded quickly to any questions, and left/sent plenty of information about the house, local stores, and activities in the surrounding area. We had 3 couples and felt very comfortable with room to spread out. We happily give our highest recommendation.

Thank you so much for this lovely review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure hosting you and your family, and thank you for taking such great care of the property. All the best to you.
This is our best VRBO experience ever, compared to our 30+ previous rentals all over the US. We wanted a well-kept lakehouse with privacy, peace, and quiet all within an hour of a major airport. And we got it!
The site is quite private; the neighbors and boat traffic were barely noticeable. Lots of pine trees.
The house is spacious and immaculate. Awesome kitchen. Terrific firepit. Solid dock with kayaks. Excellent instructions and labels. Superb provisioning for coffee, laundry, cleaning - we did not have to run out and purchase a single thing except our food.
Our highest recommendation!

We are so honored to receive this breathtaking review - thank you so much! We are so glad you had a great time and enjoyed the property. Thank you for taking such great care of it.
This lake house on Taylor Pond was amazing! Our family consists of 7 adults and four children, 8,10, 1, and 2. My husband and I stayed in the guest house across the yard from the main house. In the main house there were plenty of bedrooms for the rest of the family, along with a very large kitchen and living room where we all gathered. It was immaculate and cozy. Our older grandchildren loved the game room with the large pulldown screen for our one movie night, along with an arcade machine and exercise bike. The yard is large and has a wonderful couch area for gathering. Our favorite part of the place was our private dock for kayaking and swimming and morning coffee -- and a huge hammock! Taylor Pond is peaceful, clean, and quiet and indeed a piece of heaven...
