What a beautiful place to stay. We stayed in the cabin with family and made memories to last a lifetime. The property went above and beyond what we anticipated and we cannot wait to come back. We appreciated the grill and the hot tub as well as the fun outdoor spaces while the kids played on the woods. 5 star!

This property was wonderful for housing our family. Plenty of room for 5 adults to rest and relax, after spending our days out doing tourist activities.
This property was amazing and the kids loved the lodge. Had a great time playing games and swimming. We had Christmas visitors which included around 10 deer and a very nice mature buck! Highly recommend this property!

The property is in a wonderful location, very beautiful! The house was perfect for our family of 8. I would only note that some areas could have been cleaned better, especially the floors. Great place!

Tylee, thank you for staying with us at Franklin's Tower! We are so glad you had a great stay and loved the location. Thank you for your feedback, we will forward this along to the cleaning company. We look forward to hosting you again!
We really enjoyed our stay at Franklin's Tower. The house was inviting and comfortable and since we had families at the cabin next door, we enjoyed the easy back and forth between cabins.
We could tell that the cabin hadn't been used in a while as there were dead flies in the bedrooms and living room that we needed to vacuum. Also, the house had a strange smell to it - maybe mothballs?
Beautiful, clean cabin just south of Lead. A great location for both snowmobiling and ATVing. Highly recommend. The only drawback is that the driveway is too steep with too big of a dip to back in a 4 place trailer. We had to park the trailer at Recreational Springs, which is only a couple miles down the road so not a big deal.

Hi Rhonda, thank you for staying with us at Franklin's, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Yes, unfortunately that driveway is a bit steep.
This house is perfect for two families. Plenty of kitchen items and great having a private hot tub. Only house suggestions would be more bath towels and curtains on the windows in the loft area. Great location for Deadwood, Lead, Spearfish Canyon. About a 1.5 hour drive to Mt. Rushmore and other attractions. We enjoyed our stay!

Wes, thank you for staying with us at Franklin's Tower! We hope you were able to relax at your home away from home and enjoyed your trip to The Black Hills. We look forward to hosting you again!
Great place, clean. Driveway is pretty steep. Beds could be upgraded, squeezed and roll to the center. Also could use room darkening shades in the bedrooms. Wildlife right outside out window. Turkeys and deer.

Cindy, thank you for the feedback we will definitely pass this along and see what we can get updated. We are glad you had a great stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Franklin Tower property. We felt it was adequately supplied with what we needed to cook and stay there for the week. The entire house was very clean and well put together with fun decor. The hot tub was also very clean and easy to use. There was plenty of space for a large family or a couple of families to enjoy the property. Great views out the giant windows in the common space area. My only complaint is that the house number was hard to find, especially coming in after dark. I think putting them on the other side of the porch pillar would have been easier to find.

Hi Anne, thank you for staying with us at Franklin's Tower. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we will work on getting those house numbers moved to a more visible area.
Did not realize when you book the location desired that there would be multiple identities charging you for your stay you get one email telling you the amount and then you get charged a whole different amount which of course is a lot higher

We DO NOT charge more than what you see on VRBO when you book. I'm sorry if you misunderstood or didn't understand that VRBO is the advertising agent and we are the manager who handles the reservation. The total fee will be exactly what you see on VRBO when you book the property.

Enjoyable Time
We enjoyed our time at Franklin’s tower, but want to be full disclosure, to hopefully provide improved experience for your future customers. The amount of snow was very helpful in having a good experience, as it allowed for plenty of time spent outside sledding with our kids. Prior to arriving, we were told there was a blender on site (key for a couple peoples’ breakfast needs). Upon arrival, when noticing there wasn’t a blender and that were multiple lamps with either no light bulbs or burnt out bulbs (considering the limited lighting, all bulbs are needed), we inquired. We were told that a blender and extra bulbs would be delivered the next day, but never showed.
Additionally, I would recommend two things for communication with future prospective renters. 1) I don’t recall seeing much of anything in the VRBO listing about being able to access a community lodge with a heated pool. It’s a great asset and should be advertised. 2) As steep as the driveway and access roads are, it’s only fair to let prospective renters know that 4x4 is recommended for accessing, during winter conditions. Fortunately, we came prepared, because we’re pretty familiar with the region, but others may not be as fortunate.
We spent a lot of time on the main level living area and would have really appreciated having a TV in that main level living space.
I’d recommend cleaning the ceiling fan in the main living space.
We certainly enjoyed our time, but have received equal or better value/service for less, in the recent past, in the Terry Peak area.

Hi Cory, thank you for staying with us at Franklin's Tower. We apologize that the blender and light bulbs never got delivered, that is totally on us, and we will make sure to get up there and get the ceiling fans taken care of. In the "about" section we do have statement says that we recommend 4-wheel or all-wheel drive in the winter driving conditions and in the amenities the community pool is listed. We are glad, however, that your family enjoyed your time at the cabin,
