I was a little hesitant to book this place due to not very many reviews and one of them being bad, however overall I had a really nice stay here. Pros: beautiful mountain views, full kitchen, nice bathroom, comfortable beds/furniture/heating and cooling. Perfect location, about 20 minutes to Cades Cove (I went twice!) and only a few minutes drive to restaurants, coffee, grocery and gas. Lots of spices, coffee, tea and pots and pans. Cons: traffic noise - this house overlooks a busy highway and the noise from traffic was constant. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet place to sit outside this isn’t it. Once inside it’s fairly quiet. The pictures for the listing have not been updated in years, cabinets in the kitchen are painted black and a knob is missing on one of them along with other minor differences, it’s obvious they were taken when the place was newer. The fridge froze my produce even after I adjusted the temp. The gas fire pit works but the flame was low and made a squealing sound the whole time it was on. Other outdoor furniture on the back deck was covered in debris. It’s early in the season so maybe things still need to be cleaned up outside?Other things to note: this is not necessarily a pro or con, but the grill is a charcoal grill. The water was fine to drink but did have a strong sulphur smell which was gone after using the water filter (which was also frozen from the fridge).
Much needed relaxing and quiet time with God on the porch and our favorite in front of the fire Place.

Cabin needs work
Stayed Sept 29, 22 - Oct 2, 2022.
Do not recommend this cabin especially for motorcyclists as the terrain driving up to the cabin is not ideal for a bike in rainy conditions (which we experienced) much less ice or snow.
We've stayed in many cabins over the years & this cabin needs some attention:
*overgrown brush on the road leading into the cabin community
*exterior of the cabin is unkept. Large spiderwebs, rotten wood, mold, debri and leaves we didn't even attempt to check out the hot tub. The sofa swing was also filthy had a condom wrapper left on it
*dead roaches spotted throughout the cabin and one crawling in the bathroom
*interior windows need cleaning. There's mounds of dust throughout cabin on all wall decor and lamps
*well water only at property showering smells like suttle rotten eggs should be a filter on the kitchen faucet. Or fresh water for drinking/coffee. Only small container of stale coffee in the cabinet so we picked up fresh while out and left for the next person.
*beds were uncomfortable with some foam type mattresses.
*shower stall needs a deep cleaning has mold and mildew throughout due to ventilation issues no vent fan in place
*washer worked fine but the dryer is barely functional & not easy to operate
*dining table very large too bulky for such a small living space
*traffic's pretty noisy from the road below cabin and it's by the Little River but you can't hear the river only can see it in the distance while standing in one spot on the deck due of the overgrown bushes and foliage.
We had a very good stay at the cabin. It is a real log cabin so expect the cabin experience but it also has air conditioning and other modern convenience s. It was very hot for our visit so the AC was important. The deck/porch was great! Coffee in the morning while watching the "smoke" form in the mountains was amazing. Two minor issues, first the road to get to the cabin was a bit sketchy. Whatever Google tells you don't listen to it when you get off the paved road. Listen to the directions the owner gives. Second, the road noise from the highway below was a bit annoying. I think my family is just not used to it. That would definitely not stop me from staying here again though. Thanks for the great vacation.
