The grounds consist of 2 acres of formal gardens and lawns - ideal for hosting outdoor parties, barbecues and family reunions - and 3 1/2 acres of native forest. There is lots of wildlife and birds to enjoy, with deer, elk, moose and bear frequenting the property, so keep a sharp lookout when you are in the woods.
Canyon Foods, in nearby Hungry Horse, has an excellent butchery and groceries and more shopping is available in Columbia Falls, just 8 miles to the west.

Wonderful home for family and friends
We had a wonderful stay at this home near Glacier! There were 9 of us and there was plenty of space. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the dishes and utensils we needed. The home feels secluded yet close to grocery store, gas station, and a couple of nice shops (The Huckleberry Patch). The owners were super responsive and easy to work with. Would have liked to have a second shower in upstairs bathroom rather than a bath with shower head, but we made do since there is a full shower in master as well as in basement. Carol returned our security deposit while we were still there. Definitely recommend this home to all!
Great place to stay
We had a group of 11 friends stay here. The house was well kept and the owners were very hospitable. This is a very good location to from which to visit the surrounding country include Glacier National Park. I heartily recommend this to anyone looking for a great vacation location
Wonderful place to stay with family while visiting Glacier
This house was perfect for us! The six of us had lots of room, the house was very comfortable, and the hosts, Carol and Patrick, were delightful: nearby, helpful, but leaving us with complete privacy. With Carol's instructions, we were able to keep the house nice and cool even during hot days. It was wonderful to sit outside in the evenings and for breakfast. The trip to the west entrance to Glacier was easy. This was an absolutely perfect spot for our family to meet from opposite corners, and enjoy a few lovely days in one of the most beautiful spots in the country. Thank you!
Great for women's hiking trip
We are a group of 8 women who all want their own beds and this rental house easily accommodated us. We loved the flower gardens and that we were allowed to use the herbs in the greenhouse. We also liked how clean all the towels and bedding was. We had the best trip ever because of the place we stayed and of course the fabulous hiking. Thank you!
We are a group of about twelve experienced VRBO renters, and this is one of the cleanest houses we have ever rented. It is in a nice quiet spot, yet is close to tons of adventure. The house was plenty big enough for a group our size. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, quiet, clean spot to relax after long fun days.
great place for multiple families
Our experience was very positive. We came here to see Glacier National Park and to visit with family we don't see often enough. The Moore House was a perfect spot for us to hang out, cook on the grill, sip wine in the patio area and catch up with each other. We had plenty of room to stretch out with many bedrooms. This was also a very convenient place for Glacier which was awesome!
One of our family members is in a wheelchair full-time. Accessibility is adequate but not ADA standard (if you need that). Small improvements to this would include: bathroom grab bars, railing next to ramp in front entrance.
We felt the hosts, Carol in person and Patrick on phone and email - were both very warm and responsive to all of our questions whenever we had them.
