A very thoughtful setup with all of your basic needs available (extra blankets, basic food/spices, etc.). The scenery is fantastic and everything in the cottage compliments that makes it a memorable stay.

Anniversary trip

We really enjoyed our stay at the Green Cottage! Pandora went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, including a bottle of bubbles to celebrate our anniversary! We will definitely return :)

We love guests who tell us something about themselves, that way we can make recommendations about things we think they might like to see or do. Sometimes their personality and sense of humor come through their words then it's fun to be a bit playful. So many of our guests return year after year and it all starts with the communications before they ever arrive. So whether you are going to stay with us or another vacation rental tell your hosts about you. What do you like? What interests you? Do you have a passion for mystery, history, art, hidden secret beach coves, or old ruins, or forgotten barns that haven't been used in 100 years? Or if you are a photographer and would love to see a slice of local history, tell your host. They just might know a Hearst and get you invited to a round up and branding; or to a grape harvest on one of the 300 local wineries. Hosts are there to be your guides. We know our areas and we want to help and it's fun to help! Talk to us. Lisa told us it was their 1st wedding anniversary. How romantic. Of course "bubbles" were going to be in the refrigerator for them! They were planning on going to one of our favorite wineries, obviously they'd done some research and have good taste! The perfect bayside retreat!

I have stayed many times at the Green Cottage on Morro Bay, and I will be coming back again! It is a perfect place to enjoy the many activities in the surrounding areas, or just veg out on the deck and soak up the views across the bay. Heaven!

We LOVE our return guests! We get to know them, and know what they like and interests them. Then we can refer them to events and activities that might intrigue and inspire them. The Cottage has a way of attracting guests who are looking, not for a Las Vegas-style get-away, but one that provides pure quiet (except for the sound of distant waves), absolute privacy and charming ambiance for a truly unique setting inn order to have a meaningful experience. This mother and daughter got to spend much-needed time together, to visit, laugh, share thoughts and enjoy each other. Now more than ever people are looking for ways to re-connect. Beautify views

Our stay was excellent! We spent a lot time on the back porch enjoying the magnificent view and all the wildlife. The cottage itself was immaculate and had everything we wanted for taking care of ourselves, for cooking and enjoying. We will likely be returning.

So Lovely!

We celebrated our 30 anniversary at the green cottage! And it was spectacular! The property itself was amazing. The views were fantastic, but I think the thing that was most important during our was the attention and support we received from our hosts. They went above and beyond the call of duty. We will be back.

Peaceful beauty

Pandora is an amazing host, and everything about the cottage was perfect. It was spotless, and the kitchen has everything you need to make great meals. The views of the bay are really lovely…lots of good birdwatching. We loved the artwork and personal touches. We hope to return!

Another stay in paradise

I've lost count - six or seven times we've stayed here. The fact that we've stayed here so often is testament to how well we like it there. Clean, quiet, always fresh flowers in the kitchen when we arrive (from the owner's garden!), and the view! Wow! Magic....every time.

We love our return guests. It does say a lot about the Cottage, but even more about the guests who love the quiet and the surrounding nature. We get to know what our return guests' like and can suggest cool things for them to do or see when they're here. Sioux (our Cottage Keeper) and I work hard to create a perfect welcoming atmosphere, and as long as the roses are in bloom, the fresh flowers do come from our garden. The views, well they go on forever.

A fabulous place to stay on the bay in a fabulous place.

I really loved the cottage. I stopped in Morro Bay on a road trip. Taking pictures all over California. From the deck of the amazing cottage on Morro Bay I got some great pics. The host is amazing. The attention to detail of the cottage stood out. If you want a beautiful secluded place you can't beat The Green Cottage.

Randy is a photographer but this area is so filled with beautiful places it's hard to narrow photo opportunities down to just a few places and have the perfect light. I enjoyed pointing him to my favorite photo sites, but there are so many. He'll just have to return and stay longer. It was fun to talk with him. There have been many photographers who have stayed at the Cottage, several famous ones. It's always interesting to hear about their approach and what they shoot with. We have such beautiful golden light, and lots to see and do between those times. If you love beautiful, unique places, the Central Coast is the place to visit.

As always, the cottage felt like our special place. We love to walk everywhere and there is so much beauty and peace in the area that we never get tired of returning. Pandora and Gary have taken care of every need and more and the cottage is immaculately kept. We love our annual visit.

We love our return guests! They love the Green Cottage as much as we do. Once we get to know what they like: the kinds of foods they love, whether they are hikers or bikers, or art gallery visitors, we can make suggestions that might intrigue and entertain them. For the history buff, we have Hearst Castle of course, but we also have the Pozo Saloon where you can experience California as it was in the 1800s. It is also one of the finest and most authentic examples of how the west used to be. With its rustic, cozy interior and surrounding countryside, the Pozo Saloon continues to offer locals and the curious traveler the hospitality and frontier friendliness of a bygone day. Sundays they usually have live music and the food is great. Come see why so many of our guests return again and again.

We love the way you wrote about the Green Cottage using wonderfully descriptive words, that spelled GREEN COTTAGE! How very clever. I'd like to claim that the Cottage brings out the artistic and creative sides in our guests, but I think it's the other way around. I think artistic and creative people seek the Cottage for its peace, quiet and naturally restorative powers. Thank you for staying and leaving your list of nice words!

Great little cottage great views.

Spent our 25th Anniversary in this cozy little cottage. They have thought of everything in this place. Well supplied kitchen, great reading on the area and many fun suggestions for your time spent in area. The view of Morro Bay from back porch is very peaceful. Enjoyed watching the birds. Definitely exceeded expectations.

We love it when our guests celebrate special occasions at the Cottage. This couple didn't tell us, so we weren't able to surprise them with a fabulous bottle of local wine. Next time! The Cottage is romantic, is very, very private, quiet, peaceful and the bay entertains our guests with changing tides, colors, birds and sunrises and sunsets. A perfect spot to celebrate!

This is the perfect place to watch the passing of time measured by the tides Pandora has created an oasis full of so many treasures It’s like walking into an artists studio The town is full of spirit and great people Well worth the extra miles to get there We loved it and are booking it again

Most guests are really thoughtful and kind. But once in a while there are truly stand out guests that have a special spark, that special something that we know we'll remember them because of attention to details, or because of a comment, or because of something they said resonated or touched our hearts. We really hope they become regular guests who return again and again each year. Many of our guests do and we look forward to their annual sojourns back to the Cottage. We get to hear more about their families, about their grandchildren graduating from college, and their most recent trips to unusual foreign places. It's like we were friends destined to happen. This couple, there was something so present about them, they were so focused on being here, and not rushing about trying to see everything but really absorbing the colors and textures around them and taking their time to enjoy exactly where they were, exactly what they were doing. And by so doing it was a pleasure to spend a little time with them. It reminded me to be present too.

Bayside Beauty!

This cottage is such a lovely find. Beautifully appointed and cozy, you can't beat the location on the shores of Morro Bay, and it's close to San Luis Obispo with lots of things to do nearby. Quiet and peaceful, its the ideal place to restore your soul and commune with nature. I'll be back!

The is one of our "champion guests!" She has visited for years and books a year in advance for 3-4 trips each year. It is so nice to know the Green Cottage provides the peace, quiet, privacy and calm that people are seeking. It says a lot about the Green Cottage, and even more about our guests.
