About this property

The Foothills House with pool, hot tub, and sauna on 1.5 acres

Charming home filled with natural light on 1.5 acres with guesthouse, pool, hot tub, sauna, and outdoor kitchen with endless views of the hill country from the 2nd floor.
Ideal location for weddings in the Drippings Springs and Driftwood area or just to get away from the city!
You will enjoy the quiet of the hill country only 25 min from Austin.
Pets are welcome in the guesthouse only.


DETAILS

You have the entire property to yourself: main house, guesthouse, pool, sauna, large backyard with trampoline, ping pong table, and batting cage.

PETS: we only allow pets in the guesthouse and the backyard. Pets are not allowed in the main house, unfortunately. 2 pets max.

Enjoy the hill country views from the 2nd-floor bedrooms as well as from the crow's nest!

The main house has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths
The master bedroom has a king-size bed.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 have queen beds.
The 4th bedroom is in our guesthouse which is in a separate building, right on the other side of the pool. The guesthouse is a studio suite. It has a queen bed and a full futon sofa bed. It has its own kitchen and bathroom with a shower.

The main house also has a crow's nest/playroom on the 3rd floor (not counted in the number of bedrooms) with 2 twin foldable mattresses.
It can get a little warm there in the summer but it can accommodate additional guests such as children.

Note that there are stairs (with rails) to get to all the bedrooms and the guesthouse.

The outdoor area includes a pool, a hot tub, a sauna, a chicken coop, a patio with chairs and a dining table, a fire pit, a batting cage, a trampoline, a swing, a ping pong table and an outdoor kitchen with a grill, a smoker, a sink, and a small refrigerator to keep your drinks cold. :-)

Our pool is a volleyball-type pool with 3 levels: 3 ft on one end, 5 ft deep in the middle and 4 ft deep at the other end.
Note the pool is not gated. Refer to our pool and sauna waiver under the rules section.

We do our best to be descriptive here but if you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out!


CHECK-IN

You will be provided all the details to check-in a few days before your arrival. There is plenty of parking space in front of the house. We have a circular driveway that can accommodate a good number of vehicles.


ABOUT US

The Foothills house is our primary residence. We make it available to fellow travelers when we travel ourselves. We thrive to create the type of place we look for when we travel: quiet, relaxing with plenty of outdoor space to play!

You will have the whole place to yourself and we will be available via text, phone or the Vrbo interface to answer any questions.

Great house for family vacation

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house itself was spacious and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The pool was the highlight for the kids, they spent as much time as they could in the pool. The also loved the trampoline and chickens. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking in Dripping Springs. It’s also centrally located.

Great memories made

Our family loved your house. It had everything you would need and more. Great communication. Close to several things to do. Deep Eddy Distillery tasting was fun, tried to go to Hamilton Pool but bacteria level was too high for visitors but we still hiked. The pool at the house was very refreshing. Thanks for helping our family to make some great memories.

What a wonderful spot for our family! We had a blast! The house and guest house were perfect for our family. We have 5 kids age range 16-23, plus a grandma. :0). Our family was busy all the time. Between the pool, hot tub, sauna, outdoor grilling area, we were full of life! Thank you for an amazing house to host our family.

Unbelievable, listing details don’t do it justice

I would have given 4 stars for listing accuracy because this place blows away the description in real life. Went there with 2 other couples. Property is AMAZING! If you come to Drip and don’t stay here, you are really missing out. We had dinner plans at a restaurant on Saturday but canceled them because the property was so beautiful and we grilled out and ate at the outdoor dining area and kitchen while we built a fire at the fire pit. Unbelievable, the best property, hands down.

Short but sweet stay.

The property and home was amazing. Communication was quick with any questions I had. The only one suggestion o have old be to clearly state that there is a fee of &25/ person over 4 to accommodate the additional towels needing laundered. I completely understand, I just never saw that actually stated. VRBO stats there “may” be an additional guest fee, but, it never mentioned the amount. That would be my only recommendation..

Charming Boho getaway

Stephanie is a wonderful host. The house is absolutely beautiful and the photos are not justice of how amazing the property is. We loved being able to hang out at the main house and have the separate apartment space for those who wanted to go to bed earlier without noise to go to. The outside patio and grill area is nice and loved having outdoor speakers when relaxing at the pool. We are also a little granola so we loved the natural products and cleaning supplies the house had. We will definitely keep this house in mind when making a trip again to Dripping Springs. Also, HEB is super near by and so was Deep Eddy Vodka distillery so that was a plus!! Thank you for having us.
