We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the condo. Communication with the owners was great and their recommendations for excursions and food were top notch. The condo was well appointed with kitchen tools, beach gear and plentiful hooks to hang things and keep it organized. We thoroughly enjoyed the lanai and our kids were surprisingly entertained watching the golf course. The complex amenities were as advertised and the pools were never overly crowded. A great choice for our family of four!

This was a beautiful, well appointed condo with everything a guest might need for an incredible vacation (chairs, snorkel gear, coolers, pot/pans etc.) plus comfy beds, great living space, updated bathroom and kitchen. The air conditioning worked great. The hosts were so welcoming and responsive. We love Kanaloa since it is close to Kona and great snorkeling, but out of the main tourist area, plus it has an ocean view pool and grills etc. I would highly recommend this particular unit at Kanaloa for a comfortable, fabulous stay on the Big Island.

Beautiful, abundant & centrally located

I’ve lived on the big island before, but haven’t spent a lot of time in Kona, I really enjoyed our stay here and I am looking forward to our next trip to rent here again! Loved it, thank you so much.

Great Location

This condo is well-equipped, clean and well-maintained. It is close to both shopping areas and a movie theater, and we were able to sit on the large lanai both in the morning and evening. The Association's grounds were tropical and very well-kept. Kurt and Bonnie, the owners, were pleasant and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The assigned parking spot is a huge plus. We will definitely stay at this unit again.

Lovely and Comfortable

Kurt and Bonnie's condo is well decorated and feels like a home away from home. Very clean and organized, it was a great place to stay in Kona. An incredible orchestra of birds singing just off of the lanai every day was such a pleasant experience. We plan to be back and will gladly stay in Kanaloa 203 again.

Perfect all around!

We spent a week at the condo in August and absolutely enjoyed every moment of it. The place is clean and spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the patio is a great place for tropical bird watching. The complex has plenty of amenities, including three pools and grills. The owners were also very responsive to a small request we had. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to the Kona coast!

As per usual, Kurt and Bonnie paved the way for a great stay in their beautiful, very comfortable, well equipped condo. Everything was in tip top shape, clean, and ready upon arrival. Beautufully located right by the golf course, spacious condo

Everything available for your use, from beach chairs, snorkels coolie bags. Beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable beds. Our daughtet and son-inlaw joined us for one week and we met up with family from Pennsylvania, who had another condo in the same complex. Pools were great, 3 to choose from. Wonderful stay and would recommend this place. Thank you

Great location/Very Nice Condo

My wife and I stayed for eight nights in October. We really enjoyed the unit. We had breakfast on the balcony every morning and watched the golfers struggle. The pools and tennis courts were nice and not crowded. We were glad to stay 10-12 min drive south of the main town. There’s a great snorkel beach less a mile north, and easy access to beaches/things to do to the north and south. Really appreciated the snorkel/beach gear

Great home away from home

This condo was a wonderful experience. They have everything you need and a lot of extras that you do not usual get when you rent a condo. I would advise going there first and seeing what is provided before you go to the store and stock up. All the furniture, especially the beds, was very comfortable and well maintained. The condo complex was very nice too with multiple pool areas and activities available. All the equipment you need is provided. Great experience overall and would definitely stay again.

Our Favorite Complex by Kona

The complex is very nice. The landscaping is beautiful and the ocean pool is wonderful to watch the waves crash and see the sunset. We highly recommend this 2nd story unit! The furnishings were high quality and comfortable. All the items you needed were available...beach towels & chairs, coolers and reusable shopping bags! The view from the back lanai looked out over the golf course, yet was hidden behind beautiful trees that filled with birds at sunrise. Owners were pleasant and responsive. Tenants in other units could be heard, but definitely much quieter having them on the floor below. We highly recommend!

Nice golf course view

Location worked for us, 30 min from Two Step beach and very close to KTA supermarket. The complex is older but the condo has been partially updated with newer kitchen and bathroom counter tops, newer appliances and gorgeous views of the golf course. I loved the trees outside of the windows and balcony. Sofa and recliner in living room are not very comfortable as some reviews have mentioned. The first night we were there, it was pouring and the noise of the rain when hitting the metal roof right outside of the second bedroom kept me awake all night. We got some earplugs the next day for sleeping and we were fine afterwards. That's why I gave it 4 stars. In general, the condo is pretty nice, it stocked everything we needed, very spacious and beds were comfortable.

Pleasant unit but…

Late review since I was worried about not being positiv The property is nice and very well kept. Yes there is housekeeping before you leave but it is doable The closure of the ocean pool during our stay was problematic for us. There are other nice pools but we had no place to sit at the ocean without leaving the property and driving or walking downhill to the little bay which for some people might be problematic or sitting on the Grass in front of other units or lava even to watch the sunset-we were promised a discount which we never received. If the ocean pool is not under renovation this will be a nice place to vacation. We stayed before in the same complex in a much simpler and smaller unit and had a much better vacation but we did not have a terrible or even bad time-with lemons one makes lemonade right? It will remain unclear to me how such detail oriented owners in every way about their unit can miss knowing about a pool renovation and forget a promise. Hope the pool turned out nice. It is a nice complex because it is kept up.

Family Vacation

This was our first real family vacation and had a great time. We had stayed at this property before and we knew what we were getting. We wanted a place that was relaxing and quiet while offering variety of options if we wanted them. The location is a little off the beaten path, but that's what made it ideal for us. It's a little further south of Kailua/Kona, but not too far to drive 5-10 min. and go shopping or get a meal. Most of the snorkeling and swimming beaches are south of town anyways, so the condo put you closer to those locations as well. The condo was very close to a small strip mall or shopping center with a grocery store. This was very convenient for buying food or other necessities. We ate breakfast and lunch at the condo everyday in an effort to keep meal costs down, and having the grocery store there enabled us to do this. The condo property is well maintained and with a security gate restricting access. The property had three different pools, so none of them were very crowded. One of the pools was next to the ocean enabling us to sit by the pool, but listen to the ocean waves at the same time. If you just have to get into the ocean, there is a small cove with a park down the road as well. Our unit was located next to the golf course giving us a quiet and relaxed place to rest and unwind while we were there. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and would come back in the future.

Peaceful and Relaxing Vacation

Kurt and Bonnie’s condo was perfect for our Hawaiian vacation. The upper floor unit is in a peaceful and relaxing location with expansive views overlooking the golf course. As an end unit, Unit 203 feels like a separate home. With a back lanai facing the golf course and a front master bedroom lanai facing a tropical entry, we kept cool with in-flowing breezes. I couldn’t wait to enjoy my coffee out on the lanai each morning listening to the birds and watching mongoose digging for grubs. The beds are super comfortable, and the living room is large enough to comfortably accommodate an entire family. The property is clean, well furnished, and well organized, making it very easy to navigate and enjoy our stay. There are plenty of kitchen supplies to make meal-prep and clean-up easy. Kurt and Bonnie provide a basic stock of last-minute ingredients like spices, which is so helpful. Honestly, there isn’t anything missing. They also have snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, and picnicking supplies, which were a lifesaver for us because we forgot to pack an important piece of our snorkeling gear. The condo is close to everything. It is just steps away from all the complex amenities (pools, hot tubs, tennis/pickleball courts, and BBQ's), and a short walk (a block or two) to He’eia Bay for body surfing and Keauhou Bay for swimming, snorkeling and kayak rentals. Restaurants, groceries, and shops are minutes away and easy to access. A farmer’s market is 6 minutes away. Kurt and Bonnie made us feel so comfortable and right at home. They were so easy to communicate with and so accommodating. Honestly, we’re already making plans to go back.

Awesome Condo

We thoroughly enjoyed our 16 day stay (November 16 to December 2) at Condo 203, located in the beautiful Kanaloa at Kona Resort. The two bedroom, two bathroom condo with a large lanai facing the golf course, is well maintained, clean, has a well equipped kitchen and a perfect place to spend a relaxing vacation. The condo location is close to the resort entrance, the 3 swimming pools and a short walk down to the ocean front where on can watch the beautiful sunsets. We particularly enjoyed the lanai as it faces away from the hot afternoon sun; it is a perfect place to relax, watch the golfers, birds and the odd mongoose playing in the bushes. It is only a short drive to the grocery store and Saturday Farmers Market. We would definitely recommend staying at this condo and we are looking foreward to returning in the near future.
