Oceanfront Luxurious Kona Condo at Kanaloa with 2 king beds

Kanaloa at Kona is a premier vacation condo location in Kona Hawaii. The complex is nestled into a residential neighborhood away from traffic and other condos or hotels. Kanaloa is exceptionally beautiful with abundant space and tropical landscaping around and between buildings. The units are exceptionally large (mine is 1300 sqft). Kanaloa is surrounded by the Kona Country Club and Keauhou Bay - both add to the quiet and tranquility of this fabulous location.

Within the Kanaloa complex, only a portion of the units are truly ocean front. Most have ocean views, but it is highly special to be directly on the ocean. This condo is the very best that Kanaloa and the Kona coast have to offer. Only 2 of the Kanaloa buildings have full ocean views from the bedrooms - and this is one of them!

The sights and sounds of the ocean will fill your days and nights. You are surrounded by the ocean on the Lanai patio and inside the condo as well. You'll fall deeply asleep to the sound of crashing waves!

We offer a decidedly luxurious and quality vacation experience for you. The furniture is solid hand-carved mahogany, tropical art work enhances every room, the beds are plush and the linens soft, the kitchen and bathrooms have Koa cabinetry, the kitchen is equipped with everything you will need and was remodeled in 2008 to provide granite counters and new appliances. This condo is ideal for couples traveling together. Both bedrooms have plush California King beds!!

We also include the little touches that we enjoy and will add to your vacation. Our cable TV has enhanced digital service that includes a DVR (record those favorite shows while you are out enjoying the island). We have a home office with wired high speed internet access and wireless access in all other rooms. The office also has a printer available to you for those local maps, boarding passes, and other info you need during your vacation. We also have a good supply of beach chairs, mats, towels, and toys to use for those visits to the island beaches and parks.

Great location and beautiful views! We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The view from the lanai is amazing and feels very private, especially for a first-floor unit. The condo is well equipped with plenty of seating, beach gear available for use, and the A/C kept everything comfortable throughout our stay.A couple of suggestions for improvement: the pillows could use an upgrade, as they were either very hard or quite lumpy. The sheets were also showing wear—they felt rough and had noticeable pilling. Updating the bedding would make the stay even more comfortable.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return if we’re back in the area.

Perfect Relaxing Stay

We ended our 2 week trip in Hawaii here for the last 3 nights and it was so relaxing. We just got food at the local Market (KTA Superstore) and hunkered down to enjoy the waves, weather and pool. The bed is very comfortable and we will definitely stay again, but next time longer!

When we arrived the office had no record of our reservation. The owner had failed to notify them and she had not given me the unit number. After about 30 minutes the staff at the front desk were able to figure out which unit it was by the description on the VRBO site and they knew then who the owner was. I had tried to contact her and so did the office. They were finally able to contact the man who was the maintenance person for that unit and he contacted someone who was managing it. After that confusion we settled in and were very pleased with the complex and the unit. The owner finally responded to me about an hour after we got into the unit.

There were 4 of us. It was a perfect Hawaiian condo. Every amenity you could ever want. First floor unit on the ocean and no one was above us during our stay. You do get use to the ocean noise. The owners were very accommodating allowing us to enter the unit earlier than suggested arrival time. We would definitely consider a repeat stay in the future. The property was beautiful. I love this location on the Kona side of the island.

Wondrous location, wave sounds and heavenly beds extolled zen quality sleep, hollywood movie sunsets and sunrises. Nicely furnished, glorious showers, and a native motif. Kitchen was exceptionally well equipped (even had a microplane). Couple of issues: mildew in washer (easily cleaned by running a cycle with a bath towel), handle on pocket door to masterbath was broken (very difficult to open pocketdoor, if door was completly closed). However would NOT HESITATE to stay again.

Beautiful ocean front condo

Very comfortable condo, breathtaking ocean front views from every window! You could easily cook a holiday meal with the fully stocked kitchen. The property has 3 pools so everyone will be happy, ocean front, quiet pool and family pool. The sunsets and moonsets were AMAZING, and we didn't have to leave our lanai or living room to catch the show.

Our family is enormously attached to being near the ocean. Years of staying in Big Island resorts convinced us we needed a place of our own - ON THE OCEAN! We snorkel, surf, shop for fresh Ahi tuna to eat on the lanai, fill the rooms with fresh flowers from the farmers' markets, enjoy the great chefs on the island who feature fresh local foods, visit the fabulous used book store in Kona and read on the lanai.

Why they chose this property

After many years of vacationing throughout the Hawaiian Islands, we found ourselves returning to the Big Island as our favorite. It has a sense of space and openness that creates relaxation. We love the Kona area for its climate and proximity to so much of the island's attractions. We viewed every condo complex up and down the coast. Kanaloa definitely has the best sense of being away from it all - secluded, residential, low-rise, low-density, and away from traffic. This particular unit it the very tops in oceanfront - a lot of looking resulted in this PERFECT vacation home.

What makes this property unique

The absolutely best benefit to my condo is the extreme ocean front immersion. Waves break 50ft from your chair on the lanai. We all tend to spend a great deal of time outdoors on the lanai - it is so fabulous to be so close to the ocean!! All the living area and bedroom windows look onto the ocean as well. Add to that - our attention to comfort. The beds are plush and comfortable, quality linens throughout, a very well supplied and large kitchen, and everything is kept in top condition and very clean.
