Bearly Inn is awesome! The house was perfect for our ski weekend. It had everything we needed and was the perfect location. The hot tub was amazing after a cold day on the slopes.
The Bearly Inn was a cozy spot on a quiet street for our group of friends to stay. There was plenty of space for everyone, and the rooms were very comfortable. It was close to bars and skiing, so I was really appreciated the location.

Dated, but accommodating
Experience started off a little nerve racking. Went up early and spent the day at Killington. Waited all day to get the remaining check in details. The check in time came and went without any notification. Sent a message and called the point of contact multiple times. Finally almost 2 hours after the check in time the point of contact answered his phone and gave me the code. The house was adequate for our needs, but can definitely use some updating. (especially for the amount paid) I would consider using the home again, but would like to see some improvements made to the facility.

David- I'm sorry you had an issue getting access to our Killington Home. According to VRBO, you were sent a welcome email and text message two days prior to your arrival which included all of the information that you needed to get into the house. Unfortunately, due to other commitments, I was unable to take your call immediately, but was glad that we were able to connect less than an hour after your call.
Thanks for staying at our place and I hope your weekend was all that you hoped for.

We had a great ski weekend here! so close to the mountain & and everything else the Killington area has to offer. Having a fire & hot tub after ski days was so nice to come home to. Kitchen had plenty of resources for us to cook in. New mattresses were comfy. Chuck was a great host, communication was easy
We had a great time at this family home! It is a classic Vermont ski house very close to Killington. The weather was crazy but the house was warm and cozy. Six of us stayed and it was just the right size.
Perfectly located ski house! Great trails nearby, close proximity to town, and Killington mountain. Highly recommended

Thank you for your review! We are always so glad to hear that our guests enjoyed their time at Bearly Inn as much as our Family does each time we're there.
Had a wonderful time. The cabin was bigger than the pics. Slight bump checking in but biggie. Owner was very accommodating and helpful. Thanks again

Ski weekend in Killington
We arrived on Friday evening and the house was very clean, 4 bedrooms on the first floor with 1 bath and 1 bedroom and bath on the 2nd floor where the open family room, dining room and kitchen were. The kitchen is a little on the smaller end but it worked just find for what we needed to do (heat and reheat food), cooked breakfast in the morning. The hot tub was a nice treat after a long day of skiing and the fire was a nice touch as well with plenty of wood in the shed at the end of the driveway. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone of my friends and would definitely come back. Thanks again for having us Chuck!

Nice cabin in a great location
We had a great time staying at this house and comfortably fit 12 guys. It's an easy drive to Killington Resort and to most of the local bars and restaurants, and it was nice during wintertime to be able to come back to a fireplace and hot tub! Chuck was very communicative both before and throughout our stay, responding within minutes when there was a problem with the water heater settings and also letting us push back the check out time when we asked. Highly recommended!

Great Location
We rented this home for a family wedding at the Mountain Meadows Lodge just down the road. It was a great location, literally a two minute walk down a peaceful, quiet road. There were 8 adults and a baby and we all fit comfortably. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed to make basic meals and the bathrooms were stocked well with paper products. Since we're a large family, we've stayed at VRBO locations all over the country when we've taken vacations and have had a variety of experiences, as well as good relationships with property owners.
There were, however, a few items of concern. The double bed mattress/box spring on the first level fell through the frame when my daughter (who's 8 months pregnant) laid on it. We fixed it, but it fell apart again. Also, when we came in Friday night my sister noticed mouse droppings on the white couch on the first level. We cleaned them up and all went to bed, the next day there were more, we cleaned them again but the following day there was more on the couch and some on the bed next to that room - the bed my son was sleeping in. So, they definitely have mice issues -eek.
When I contacted the owner, Chuck, he seemed less than concerned. He noted that they had been working with an exterminator (unsuccessfully) and were thinking about replacing the double bed (now's the time). This property is at a higher price point, so we were expecting much cleaner conditions with updated furniture - we're not campers so were uncomfortable with the thought of sleeping with mice, especially with the baby. Chuck didn't offer any type of compensation for our issues - he was less than hospitable.

I can appreciate anyone's concern after reading your review, Betsy, but the story you did not tell is that you insisted that I refund you for the hot tub cleaning fee (since you didn't have time to use it) in exchange for a good rating (that's pretty alarming). You asked for a refund 5 days following your departure and after the hot tub contractor had already provided service and so I declined the refund and requested that you be honest in your review (a request that you obviously ignored). Regarding the mouse droppings (and the bed issue), neither were reported to me prior to your departure on Sunday and i immediately called our exterminator, who has been on contract with me for 31 years. I also mentioned to you that we had been at the house just immediately prior to your arrival and there was no sign of mice anywhere in the house. It is also interesting that you mentioned that you saw the issue ONCE when we spoke, but now (after not having gotten your hot tub refund, your review indicates that the problem recurred on several occasions.
It is mutually unfortunate that we had this rental experience. I have never before been extorted for a refund in exchange for a good review, and I don't intend to sacrifice my integrity now. I will rely on our readers to read the other reviews from other guests who have been good enough to comment on their experience at our place.
This is a place that is truly our second home. We take pride in our place, and your story is just so blatantly false. Had you reported ANY problem to me, I would have had a local contractor at the house immediately, but you waited until you checked out to report ANYTHING and so I have to question the credibility of your story at the outset given the context of your request. And by the way, you make it regrettable that I offered that you stay for the day and not worry about our check out time since nobody was coming in behind you- This offer occurring prior to any report by you of any issue you were having. Hopefully, other VRBO Owners will pick up on this and think twice about considering you as a guest at their property. To my other prospective guests, be assured that our Vermont home is well kept, clean and fully equipped for a great Killington experience.
PS- We were back at the house after this renter left and did find a broken bed (which we hadn't seen before her stay). It has been replaced. Our exterminator put traps in the house, but miraculously, not a mouse was seen nor caught.

Very nice house, great location
We stayed over the Feb school vacation with 1 other family (4 adults / 4 kids) and had an excellent stay. The owner was very attentive and responsive. The house was perfect size for our size group. The indoor hot tub was a plus, the kids mostly loved to use it after skiing all day. The fireplace and outdoor grill were great options and got plenty of use. Very close to the ski mountain parking lots and stores to buy groceries. I would recommend it and return again.

Charming Cabin with Great location.
The house has a great location for skiiers/snowboarders to experience Killington Mountain. The hot tub adds for a perfect ending to a long day of skiing. The house is plenty warm with it's electric heat, but there is an optional wood fireplace that we used to add to the ambiance. The living room has an amazing view with a large upper deck that really lets you take in the beauty of Vermont.

Awesome! Super convient
We loved our stay at the Bearly inn. Totally exceeded everyone's expectations. It's super close to killington k1 and rams head lodges. We even got the shuttle from the pickle barrel to pick us up one night and drove us to and from the bar.. You just have to call and ask because some bars won't go past the access road. We comfortablely fit 12 people in the house with plenty of blankets towels and pillows! We used the fireplace and hot tub and had "family" dinners at the long table. So many amazing memories we decided to make the trip to Vermont a yearly trip, and hopefully back to the Bearly inn next year.

Highly Recommended!
I stayed here with a group of 8 people looking for a ski getaway. The house was incredibly clean and prepped to our expectations. The directions for use of the house provided by Chuck were very simple to follow and made for a smooth check in/check out. The place was incredibly comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for the weekend.
There was only one hiccup in our stay - the hot tub would not get hot the first night or after skiing at all. I left Chuck a message and he promptly returned my call with directions on how to rectify the situation. He proceeded to call 30 minutes later to make sure it was still working right. When it was not, he guided me through a reset process and troubleshoot EVERYTHING until the hot tub was finally heating up. It didn't make a difference that it wasn't hot at first; Chuck's attentiveness and willingness to help create a situation to our satisfaction speaks volumes about him and the end situation was still the same pleasurable result - kudos to him!
I am already planning a trip for next winter and the entire group suggests staying at this home again.
Chuck - thank you for everything!

About the host
Hosted by Chuck Graziano
We have loved our vacation home in Killington for over 35 years. The region has so much to offer with its infamous ski mountain, snowmobiling, tubing, sledding, x-country skiing- and that's just winter. We love the summer and fall just as much for cycling, swimming, boating, barbecuing on our huge deck and just enjoying the beautiful Green Mountains and the outdoor lifestyle that the Green Mountains are famous for.
Why they chose this property
We love the Green Mountains and all that they have to offer from swimming and cycling in the summer to skiing and all of the winter sports in winter!
What makes this property unique
Our home in Killington is such a warm environment for Families and small groups of up to 8 people. We know you'll feel so 'at home' and comfortable, with great views out from the living room and deck and all the conveniences in the house!
