Walk the Appalachian Trail
The tiny town of Easton lies snuggly in the heart of the White Mountains National Forest. Railroads and waterparks
Voted one of the top 25 waterparks in the US, kids will go crazy for Whale's Tale Water Park, just a little south in Lincoln. You might be high in the mountain and more than 100 miles away from the sea, but you can still practice your surf technique on the park's wave simulator. Down in North Conway, you can transport yourself back to a golden era of travel in the elegant dining cars of the Conway Scenic Railroad. For more railway fun, the vintage Hobo Railroad takes guests on a 2-hour tour along the edge of the Pemigewasset River.

It would simply be impossible to list the staggering number of adventure opportunities available in the forested area around your Easton vacation rental. Other than the 100s of miles of hiking and biking trails, there are a few highlights though. To see the wilderness at its best, jump aboard one of the scenic helicopter flights that take off daily in the high season. Back on solid ground, you can lace up your boots and walk along the wooden walkways that hug the little gorges and canyons. If wildlife spotting sits on your list, you've come to the right place. Leaving your Easton vacation rental, you can walk out into the wilderness of the White Mountain National Forest to see more than 100 species of birds including falcons, which now thrive after being reintroduced into the park. Spotting moose can be a little tricky, but if you join one of the wildlife tours, you'll likely see at least 1 or 2 around the marshy wetlands. It's even possible to spot an elusive coyote, a shy gray fox or even a black bear.
Traveling to and around Easton
Fly into Whitefield, NH (HIE-Mount Washington Regional), the closest airport, located 19.3 mi (31.1 km) from the city center. If you're unable to find a flight that fits your schedule, you might consider flying into Lyndonville, VT (LLX-Caledonia County), which is 31.1 mi (50 km) away.
