Welcome to Fall season at Casa Bella...
Enjoy the quiet time of year in Twain Harte, free from the summer crowds, with sunny afternoons and cool evenings.
During the day, enjoy sunning on the deck, golf at our local golf course, a hike, or just perfect the Art of Doing Nothing.
In the evening, stroll downtown for a leisurely meal, you are within walking distance of all of Twain Harte's restaurants. Or...
Have a barbecue on the deck or cook dinner in our well equipped kitchen. The granite counter was made for happy hours.

Later on, have a glass of wine by the fire, read a book, play a board game, or pop some popcorn then curl up and watch a movie.

Casa Bella has many charms, original art work, leaded glass windows, rustic fir floors, and a French armoire. Recent renovations have given this stylish mountain retreat a fresh look. The great room features a convenient gas fireplace, large, comfy leather chairs and a big couch for reading, lazing, or watching TV. There is also a futon which opens into a full bed. The bedrooms each have a queen bed with down comforters. The first bedroom has a peaked pine ceiling, antique, leaded glass windows, and a French armoire. The second bedroom has a full bookshelf and a connected half bath.

In winter, Dodge Ridge is 20 miles up the highway, where you can spend the days skiing and snowboarding, or go to Leland High Sierra Snowplay in Strawberry, for sledding and tubing.

Make a day trip (just over 2 hours) to visit world famous Half Dome, one of many splendors in Yosemite National Park.
Also, visit the many nearby wineries, bistros, art galleries, and boutiques. Sonora is 15 minutes away, Murphys is 45.
After your travels you will look forward to returning to the pine forests of Twain Harte and the quiet comfort of Casa Bella.

 Twain Harte, a small resort town in California's Gold Country, is in the High Sierra, elevation 3700 ft, one half hour from Dodge Ridge Ski and Snowboard Resort.
Under the Twain Harte arch you will find a charming downtown.
Twain Harte also offers golf, tennis, a private lake, miniature golf, and a skateboard park. (Twain Harte is located 16 miles east of the historic gold mining town of Columbia, and 12 miles east of the town of Sonora.)

Great place to spend time in for relaxation. My son enjoyed watching VHS tapes for the first time. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The fireplace kept us warm on the cold December nights. Enjoyed our weekend stay.

Property was well equipped cabin very close to local town, adequate space for couple with 2 bathrooms and comfortable bed. Good set of requirements for tasks needed to properly secure cabin upon departure.

True to reservation description, well stocked kitchen and other items. Great wifi. Tight for two cars to park but we managed. Convenient location and great area to walk around. Deck needs some TLC but totally usable. Would definitely reserve again if in area.

I love this place! It’s cute clean and location is perfection! We stayed in it 2 years ago. The deck needed repair then. It really need repair now. Other than that, fantastic!

Perfect location to town

Adorable cabin. Perfect location to walk into town. We enjoyed the lake, mini golf, The Rick and Shave Ice. It was perfect for our family. We will be back.

Awesome family getaway

The cabin was perfect for our little family, it had all the amenities and tons of books, games and movies for everyone. The setting is the best part, Twain Harte is a beautiful community, the kids can't wait to return!!

Beautiful and clean cabin

Quaint cabin in awesome location

We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Bella. It is located within a few blocks of downtown and a five minute drive to the lake. We loved the deck and board games!

Gracious Hospitality

We enjoyed out stay at Natalie's cabin. Of all the cabins we have stayed at over the years, Natalie was by far the most thoughtful host we've had. The kitchen is well stocked, there are games, books, lake chairs, and more - all designed to make your stay truly enjoyable.

We did ask for an early check in, but found the property needed cleaning. I had to mop the floors twice before the mop came away clean. The white towels and face cloths had stains on them. There was grease dribbling down the wall behind the stove due to the vent filter not being cleaned. We wondered if the rugs had been vacuumed. It was disappointing. It would do to not rent the place for a few weeks and scrub it from top to bottom.

Beautiful and clean cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Bella cabin in July. It was great for our small family, with a 3 year old and newborn baby. It had all the amenities we need to cook breakfasts & dinners, and a lovely porch to eat outside. We spent two mornings at Twain Harte lake, and also drove up to Pinecrest lake. We would love to stay again sometime!

Location, location, location

This cabin does not have the newest appliances, but that is not what we were looking for! Our family of young kids had great restaurants, mini golf, parks, stores and coffee shops within walking distance from the front door. Plus easy access to the surrounding areas of great lakes, hiking and fishing sloughs. Add on the great Twain Harte lake experience and this is the perfect mountain cabin! Perfect trip for our family!

My husband and I are originally from the Bay Area.. We have lived in Sacramento for 30 years where I ran a home staging business for 25 years. I am retired and now spend my time wondering what comes next.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Casa Bella has been in my family for 59 years. In 1965 our family went to Twain Harte for a two week summer vacation. We rented a rustic little cabin. As soon as we arrived we fell in love with the town, the woodsy surroundings, and wonderful Twain Harte Lake. My mother immediately found a cabin to buy. We have enjoyed many wonderful times here over the years and hope you will, too.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

I like to take a project to work on while vacationing. I am always inspired in Twain Harte, and can find plenty of room to work, either on the deck or on the wide kitchen counter. When I need a break, I hike up the road, then down and around to a beautiful little lake.
I love the smell of Twain Harte. It comes from a plant called Mountain Misery. I can't tell you why it is so named, but it is a delightful smell and it tells me I'm home.
