Why Gail DeLano chose Twain Harte
My grandfather built this cabin in 1940 for his family. After my father died, my mother continued to vacation at Twain Harte with the four kids in my family. Currently, my brother and I own the property, and have improved it throughout the years - new roof, foundations, siding, interior walls, new electrical, new plumbing and tankless water heater, log woodwork, new deck, and a completely remodeled upstairs bath. The cabin is very updated with a vintage feel.
What makes this Cabin unique
Large flat property with parking for 10+ cars...many lots in Twain Harte are smaller with little parking. Great place for kids to safely place away from the street. Cabin sits among many tall pine trees but is 1/3 mile from the little town of Twain Harte, and 2/3 mile from Twain Harte Lake

Cozy time in the snow
Great for our group of 9. Would not recommend for a bigger group unless the weather is warmer. Small living and kitchen area could make it a challenge. Owner was very nice and helpful, wanted us to have a great stay.
Great cabin, very comfortable, owner was very responsive and helpful.
Cozy and Rustic
This is definitely a great cabin right in the heart of Twain Harte. It has all the essentials of any great cabin, including an enormous new deck which makes for perfect quiet mornings to start your day off right. Gail is a very helpful guide and was totally ready whenever we needed her. I'd certainly recommend giving this place a shot, especially if you have a medium sized group of about 6-8.
Thanks Zac, glad to have you and your group stay, and thanks for leaving things in great condition. Glad it worked out for your extended group over the two cabins. Please come back any time.
Quaint and cozy cabin
This was a last minute booking for us as our original plans were cancelled and the owner was very helpful in getting our stay booked in less than 24hours. The cabin was very cute and cozy has a great deck, it was rainy and cold that weekend and the cabin stayed very warm! We enjoyed our time in Twain Harte! Was really close to downtown and we did get to see several deer in the early evening which was fun to see! Overall a great place to stay!
Thanks Angela and Brian. I'm glad everything worked out; thanks for your communication during the weekend. Please come visit us again; summer is great in Twain Harte!
Fantastic cabin with plenty of space
Gail's Twain Harte cabin was great for our group of ten adults. Beds were comfy, fully functional kitchen and laundry, upstairs bathroom has been nicely remodeled. Living space was a little small for a group of our size, but the way the dining room flowed into it made it so there was plenty of seating for everyone. The pellet stove worked extremely well keeping the house heated, even on low the whole time.
Gail was a great communicator, helping us out with some trickiness with the pellet stove swiftly- she even had her handyman drop off an extra table when I mentioned we could use some more dining space! And she was very flexible with check in/out times, happy to work with us when she was able to.
If you're looking for a place with a big group where all the adults need a lot of privacy, this might not be it- the alcoves off the bedrooms don't have doors closing them off from the main bedroom, which you can tell from the pictures and we knew going in, and it worked fine for us. The kitchen doesn't have a ton of counter space, so if you're planning on doing a lot of cooking, be prepared to do your prep efficiently. But there's a ton of parking, which was great, and it's a beautiful area. Highly recommend for a winter getaway!
Glad you all had a good time, Theodora. Along with the new kitchen floor, I'm looking at small counter/prep space like a roll away island. The extra table is a good fit, thanks for helping me with that. Please return any time!
The property is perfect size for a large group looking for a mountain get away
Had a great time. We were able to all everything we desired. We had the space to be together in the first level and enough space upstairs for privacy. This cabin was also at a great location close to everything you might need
Bocce ball now available in Eproson Park, 1 1/2 blocks from the cabin
