Will not return to Panama City Beach

The Edgewater Resort is impressive, but very old. The golf villa was in a poor location and lacked any updating. There should be some basic supplies in the villa upon arrival, there were none! Panama City Beach has had it's best years a long time ago. A better experience is Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach or Seaside!

We appreciate your kind words about the resort's impressive atmosphere, but we are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We apologize that the golf villa's location and lack of updates did not meet your expectations. Please know that we have taken note of your feedback and will work to improve what we can in the future. Annually we do a refresh / touch up of the unit prior to busy season to make sure that everything looks good and is functioning properly. Regarding your comment about basic supplies, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by this. We will do a better job of communicating through our listing description and check in instructions that we send prior to our guest checking in, that we provide guest with an initial set up of supplies (soap, toilet paper, trashbags etc), but it is the guest's responsibility to replenish supplies as needed for the duration of their stay. We appreciate your thoughts on Panama City Beach, but we respectfully disagree that it has had its best years a long time ago. The area has gone through many positive changes in recent years, and we wholeheartedly believe that it offers a unique and enjoyable experience to couples, families, and guests of all ages. That being said, we understand that not every location is for everyone, and we appreciate your recommendations for Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, and Seaside as they are also great locations. We hope that you consider staying with us again in the future and giving us another chance to exceed your expectations. I have used VRBO to book several vacations throughout the years. This property is amongst the worst. The unit needs a deep cleaning and needs to be painted. The dryer does not dry, beach towels and clothes had to air dry. Property owner charged me $250 claiming that I smoked in the unit, which I did not!!!!! The unit had an old, stale smell upon my arrival.

Brittany, Thank you for staying at our place. I am sorry to hear that you have had a less than stellar stay and that this did not work out well. We do have a strict nonsmoking house rule prohibiting smoking inside the unit which is listed multiple times throughout the listing in addition to signage within the unit. The unit also includes two outdoor patios /seating areas where guests are welcomed to smoke. The listing also explicitly states that there is a $250 fee for removing the odor that is left behind by cigarette smoke. This covers the extra cost associated with the cleaner having to clean the walls curtains and drapes etc. to get the smell out, and potentially using a special Ozone machine to remove the odor. In certain cases, it also involves a second follow up visit to make sure the smell is gone prior to the arrival of the next guest. Regarding the other issues you have mentioned, we take pride in offering a comfortable clean stay for our guest and hope to quickly resolve issues when brought to our attention. Our unit is professionally cleaned between every guest and deep cleaned down to the baseboards quarterly. We reached out to you after the first night of your stay to check in to see how you and your group were enjoying your stay to receive any feedback, but we did not hear back from you. As a result, we unfortunately we were not made aware of the items mentioned during your stay so that we could attempt to fix them and ensure you all had the best stay. Ed

A pleasant stay!

We found this unit at this property to be similar to others we’ve rented in the past. The owner was responsive to questions and was proactive to address an issue with the entry door prior to our arrival. The walk-in shower was a real bonus and the size overall provided plenty of room. The 4” memory foam topper in the master slept like a cloud!
