Enjoy spectacular views of the Blue Pacific (one block away) from our artistically decorated 35th floor corner unit. From our living room and bedroom, the ocean can be seen stretching across the horizon high above the pitched copper steeple of St. Augustine Church. There are whitewater views from our galley kitchen, bedroom, and living room. Queen's surf break, Canoe surf break, the beach and palm trees are visible. There are also eastern views of the mountains, golf course, and canal, and a peak a boo view of Diamond Head from the bedroom & kitchen. The corner unit faces a northwest angle and benefits from refreshing trade winds blowing from the mountains and golf course to the east.
Since you're facing west from the kitchen and bedroom and northwest from the living room, you do not have the morning sun waking you up and this condo has cross ventilation. The air conditioner is rarely used.
FREE PARKING in the Waikiki Banyan's garage is included as well as FREE WIFI INTERNET service.
CALENDAR IS UP TO DATE and now reflects the current actual occupancy in our condo. You can book right away by simply clicking the 'BOOK IT' button on your right & filling out information on the VRBO generated form. The exact price for your stay and breakdown of charges (we don't charge a 'resort' or 'amenity fee') will appear for you to approve. The GET tax is 4.712% and the TAT tax is 9.25% (10.25% after Jan 1, 2018) of the nightly rate. Cleaning Fee is $125 + 4.712% GET tax and 9.25% TAT tax (10.25% after Jan 1, 2018) for stays under 30 days.
We have enabled VRBO "Instant Booking" so your booking request is instantly confirmed without further hassles. When final payment is due 75 days prior to your arrival date, VRBO will send you payment request invoice for balance due. Once paid, you will be sent detailed entry instructions including entry punch code, so you can enter condo anytime after 3 pm check in time, wifi codes, and other important information for your stay.
For unforeseen events we recommend you purchase travel insurance such as from Travelex or www.travelguard.com (reasonable).
Our condo is large, comfortable, spotless and private. The corner unit is the largest floor plan at the Waikiki Banyan and has a galley kitchen, separated from the living room. Breakfast on USABLE LANAI (balcony). Full kitchen including pots, pans, cutlery. FREE WIRELESS INTERNET (WIFI). All linens/towels, cutlery provided. Beach towels Laundry room is just across the hallway. Phone with free local calls. Alarm clock/radio. New high definition LCD flat screen 42" TV as of June 1, 2016. ONE FREE SECURED COVERED PARKING SPACE in the Waikiki Banyan parking structure.
Our Waikiki Banyan condo is owner occupied part of the year, and we welcome vacationers who will take good care of it. We installed a gorgeous floor of travertine marble, repainted the walls with decorator colors, and installed double French doors between the living room and the bedroom (see photos). We also enlarged and totally redid the bathroom with tile throughout, new cabinet & sink, tub and shower, fan etc... Our corner unit has a California king sized bed in the bedroom, a queen sofa bed, and a portable fouton bed.
The Waikiki Banyan is a fun resort ONE BLOCK from the warm sands and blue water of the world's most famous beach. Soak up the sun, stroll on ocean board walk, swim in warm ocean, snorkel across from the Zoo in fish preserve (some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii), surf, or just relax on the Waikiki Banyan's comfortable lounge chairs on recreation deck (Banyan guests only) near pool or in shade. Nearby churches. The huge recreation deck on the sixth floor of the Waikiki Banyan offers a large freshwater pool, jet spa, sauna, gas barbecues, children's playground, and basketball court. Up to four guests staying in our condo can use the pool deck at any one time.
The Waikiki Banyan is unique in that it offers units with kitchens in upscale Waikiki in a resort environment at affordable prices. Laundry room on every floor. NO PETS AND NO SMOKING PLEASE (enforced).
Making it exceptional, our unit probably has the best ocean view at the Waikiki Banyan (at the west end of Tower I), for which hotels would charge a small fortune per night, and is the largest floorplan at the Banyan. What's a vacation in Hawaii without panoramic ocean views, watching surfers from your living room couch, and spectacular sunsets! Each Blue Pacific view is like a unique work of art!
Bus stop one block away from Waikiki Banyan. Ala Moana Shopping Center is 10 minutes away by bus. You don't need to rent a car. Take Reliable, Robert's or Speedi Shuttle from airport to Waikiki Banyan ($18-$25 round trip). Mini mart & snack bar in building. Walk to the Food Pantry supermarket at 2370 Kuhio Avenue. Walk to Parkshore Starbucks across from beach. Longer walk to new Safeway at 888 Kapahulu Avenue.
We rent shorter time slots between longer term bookings.

Please note that periodically the Waikiki Banyan Homeowner's Association closes down one of the common areas for repair (pool, tennis court, an elevator). Homeowner's Association may also need access to condo during business hours to replace building plumbing, a long term project. We can't predict when this will happen and it is outside our control. Therefore, we are not responsible for sporadic common area maintenance. There may also be some construction noise if a neighbor is doing some work during business hours, as in any other building.
