Enjoy your stay by the pool, or adventure out on the town and dine at one of the wonderful restaurants Sarasota has to offer. Shop till you drop at St. Armond's circle, check out marine life at the Mote Aquarium, take your littles to the Jungle Gardens, and plenty more!

Perfect stay

The house had everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood near Nathan Benderson Park and lots of shopping/restaurants. The pool was great too.

Very spacious with a great floor plan

We enjoyed staying here! The house has a split floor plan with very large rooms. The outdoor space is extremely large as well. The neighborhood is beautiful and very quiet. We enjoyed watching the golfers right from the pool area!

Wonderful stay

We were in the house for two months. We enjoyed our stay. The house is very well equipped. The lanai and pool are outstanding. Definitely recommend.

Communication with host!

We arrived late Wednesday! Woke up Thursday to pool level very low & Spa not working at all! Call/text host & she tells us everything works just fine, total lies we spent 10 days without spa & 3 days before we left the heat in the pool broke down! We plan our vacation with a pool & spa for a reason…

Nice property

The pictures online were exactly as advertised. Nice size bedrooms. Nice pool, patio with a grill. Quiet neighborhood. Close to UTC shopping. The only negative were the ants in the kitchen and the host didn't respond to messages, otherwise we loved our stay.

Needs a little attention

Good location in a quiet neighborhood in the Meadows. Air wasn’t working, which wasn’t a big deal on the first day because it was cool, but it was humid and warmer on subsequent days. Garage door opener had issues and also stopped working. Pool and spa/hot tub had low water and main bedroom had unpleasant smell—more so with no air conditioner. Host didn’t respond in a timely manner. Could be a good place if a few things were fixed up and response time was under 24 hours. We appreciated that the house was not cluttered and the Meadows is walkable.

Not as advertised

We were really looking forward to our stay, and the house itself was great—spacious and perfect for our family. However, the primary reason we booked was for the pool and hot tub, and unfortunately, neither was usable during our visit. The pool temperature never exceeded 69 degrees, and the hot tub was also out of service the entire time.What made it more disappointing was the lack of response from the hosts. Despite reaching out, we couldn’t get any resolution or even a sense that they cared about our experience. As a fellow host, I always try to leave positive reviews, but this experience was an exception. Sadly, we will not be returning.

Year 2 of loving this home :-)

Well, another fabulous winter season at this lovely home has come to an end. We had marvelous weather, enjoyed entertaining out on the lanai…set up a mahjong table out there a few times…enjoyed our swims in the nice warm pool…This was our second year here and we’ve booked again for next year! We were fortunate to be seasonal golf members at The Meadows CC and the home, being located on 17 tee box was fun to watch the action from the lanai as well as wave at pals on their way around the course! The neighborhood is so peaceful and safe. Such fun to take moonlight walks. Another favorite of this perfect location is being able to get to Lido Beach in 20 minutes or less for a sunset, cocktail picnic…as others are in gridlock coming off the island, we just sail on in and it is perfect! Being so close to great restaurants and stores and the highway is a huge plus. We did an e-bike tour that I would highly recommend through Endless Summers Eco-Tours now located on 12th street. We went to Myakka State River Park and had a ball. Back to the home review…Everything about the home feels like ‘home’…It was well maintained, has everything a cook wants in the kitchen, the garage is a wonderful size, beds are all very comfortable, the community in The Meadows is top notch and it has been our pleasure and good fortune to have had another memorable winter there.

Two months of happiness!!!!!

We stayed at the “Peaceful Oasis”, for the months of February and March and LOVED IT. Owner was most gracious and accommodating after I realized I had booked us checking out March 31st, Easter. Owner allowed us to stay an extra night so we could celebrate with family instead of leaving that day. Upon arrival, the home was spotless and lovely, spacious and well appointed. The kitchen had a vast supply of pots, pans, dishes, and everything a cook would want. It was delightful for me to have such a large space to operate! The kitchen window overlooked the fabulously enormous lanai and pool area. It’s a wonderful, very friendly neighborhood on a quiet street.The bedrooms had terrifically comfortable beds and bathrooms were great. Huge garage with an extra fridge/freezer was a definite plus. We were happy to find a wine refrigerator in the laundry room. We did plenty of laundry in the two months and those machines worked very well. The living room was large, nice furniture and the TV a wonderful size to watch NCAA basketball and golf tournaments. The dining room was perfect for the evenings that were too chilly to eat on the lanai which was only a handful of times. Our weather was glorious! The swimming pool was FABULOUS! It was the perfect temperature for us…nice and warm! (cleaned weekly) Many hours were spent with family just relaxing in and around the pool and lanai living area. We are SO EXCITED to have it booked again next year! Best home away from home EVER!

Sadly, an Awful Christmas-time Stay

I’ll start stating that I’m pursuing a refund for our stay, and have submitted a complaint through Stay Neighborly. I am awaiting financial resolution from the owner. We had planned to stay nearly a week, but arrived to a house with no running water, inconsistent AC, water heater off, pool heater off and temperature at 67 degrees, and incorrectly listed as having a hot tub when there is only a spa. It being the holidays and the owner non-local, the property manager could not remedy in a timely fashion, and when the property manager did come out, did not fully resolve issues. We documented all household issues throughout and shared with owner promptly. We checked in when the water was successfully running. The AC did not run reliably, the main bedroom fan was too loud to run overnight (owner said she couldn’t fix), pool too cold to use. A rotten egg smell emanated the house (owner said smell was normal); however, in the 20 years I’ve been coming to Sarasota, a smell that strong is not. Ultimately we had to vacate the property early because we awoke to no running water, and had to scramble to find alternative housing on short notice. This is no small task, with children, over the holidays, and certainly not how we wanted to be spend our vacation. Sadly this was the most unpleasant VRBO or similar experience I’ve ever had. It is too bad, as rentals are difficult to find in this great neighborhood and we would have loved to find a new “go to” for our frequent trips here.

We arrived 30 minutes after our scheduled check in time to find the house not only filthy from the previous guests... but sewage had backed up in the bathroom. There was feces and toilet paper that had backed up and dried into the bathtub, toilets and surrounding area. There was a note on the counter from the previous guest stating that the sewage had backed up "again" so clearly this is a known and ongoing problem... Dirty laundry and bedding spread throughout the home. The floors had dirt and food crumbs throughout the house. The countertops had food crumbs. The master bathroom counters, sinks and floor had hair (of all types). Dirty toilets and bugs crawling throughout the master bathroom floor. The house was literally a health hazard.With the intention of staying for two weeks we had limited options and ended up having to find a hotel and alternative housing. I have numerous photos and videos which I provided to VRBO and the Host. I spent over 4 hours trying to resolve this with VRBO. The host has yet to respond to emails and texts. VRBO initially responded saying that our photographic evidence did not consitute action. After pleading with VRBO to take action they asked for another walk through video. Upon viewing the video they acknowledged that the house was not acceptable and they would try to get in touch with the host/owner. I will never use VRBO again and this host should be ashamed. Even a simple text message acknowledging the situation would go along ways.

Review of stay at the Meadows in Sarasota

The house was extremely clean and comfortable. There were 5 adults in our group with comfortable beds and ample space. The location was excellent with less than a mile to Nathan Benderson Park where we were attending the National Collegiate Rowing Championships. The owner was very helpful and provided clear information and instructions for our stay.

Last minute April vacation

The house was exactly as shown and more. The pool and spa were amazing and clean and warm. There was plenty of bed linens and towels. The place is close to all the stores and a 20 minute drive to some nice beaches.

I have spent my entire life coming to and from this home, and am very familiar with the area and all Sarasota has to offer. If necessary, don't hesitate to reach out and ask about all the surrounding area has to offer for adults and kids.

You will feel right at home with all of our household amenities, complete with your own pool and hot tub just outside your door! Dip into the pool at night to cool off, and wind down in the evening in the spa. Cook a home cooked meal in the gorgeous kitchen, or visit many of the outstanding restaurants near by.

Don't feel like venturing far? You don't have to- stop in at any of the local Meadow's eateries, enjoy a bike ride, and hang by the pool.

Have to work during your stay? No problem. The house has an office and desk set up, with high-speed internet access and a printer.
