Unique second floor Private Studio with Coded Locks

Second floor studio with large eat in kitchen and comfortable bedroom/living space. We are situated in a quiet, rural, residential area. Guests have access to outdoor yard space which includes a cement patio space and a gazebo, both with seating, It is an easy, flat, 10 to 15-minute walk to the local country store with deli, a bakery, 2 pizza shops, a farm to table restaurant, library, town historical museum, Post Office, and Dunkin's. Easy access to Rt 91, 5 & 10 and Rt 2. Eight min drive to Greenfield, 15 to Brattleboro, 20 to Northampton, 45 minutes to the five colleges in Amherst. Easy short drive to Northfield Mt Hermon, Stoneleigh Burnham, Deerfield Academy and Thomas Aquinas College. Close to VT and NH and 30-90 minutes to many ski slopes, including Mt. Snow and Berkshire East. Short drive to swimming holes, hiking, cross country skiing, skating rink, canoeing, white water rafting and zip lines. Of course you can also just hang around and relax.

This is my second stay here at this lovely studio; it is impeccably clean and well appointed. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I asked the hosts if I could stay an extra day, and the communication with them was fast and easy. I will be returning!

Our stay here was short but so sweet! It was the perfect place to crash for the night -- had everything we could need, and the bed and pillows were notably comfortable. We didn't get to take advantage of them, but the grounds were very pretty.

Cozy, Welcoming, & Close to Everything

The apartment had everything we needed (plus more), and was very close to some really wonderful dinner spots (we enjoyed Hope & Olive in Greenfield, and Harvey’s in Turners Falls). Jonathan and Christine made checking in so easy, and the personal touches were so cozy and welcoming. It’s obvious that so much thought and care went into creating this space for guests. The yard and outdoor seating also offered beautiful scenery and relaxing moments, with a cocktail (or two). This apartment was the perfect fit for what we needed.

The place was probably the cleanest and most mindfully setup that I have ever stayed in. Everything was useable and easily accessible! This was the perfect getaway. Not too much space or too little. The hosts were completely gracious and easy to communicate with. I appreciate their care for the wildlife and birds in the area and use of recycling and compost. Will keep this place in mind for another future get away! Many thanks!

Just lovely!

Lovely, clean, well-appointed loft, with many thoughtful details added for comfort and convenience. I had a very cozy stay! The grounds are just gorgeous, and it was delightful to wake up to the gardens full of colorful birds, rabbits and chipmunks. I would recommend, as I will be back when I am in the area again. Cindy A

Enjoyed my stay

Perfect location for visiting family in nearby Greenfield, MA. Also close to Route 91 and easy access to locations all along the Pioneer Valley. Studio was well equipped, comfortable, and artfully decorated which made it nice to return to for relaxation. Hosts were very responsive.

Great, short stay Studio has everything needed for comfort. Access to serene yard and gazebo Minor struggle with wifi connection, but likely resolvable if I'd stayed longer Tall stair climb to enter property- those with mobility issue should take note Excellent organic pizzeria nearby I'm likely to return Would highly recommend to others

Perfectly Relaxing

I was so excited to find this wonderful little gem when I planned a 3 day getaway to Western Mass. The apartment is perfectly decorated, extremely clean, and felt like HOME the moment you walk in. It really was better then the pictures. The hosts communicate very quickly, not that you will have any issues! This studio is very close to everything the Berkshires has to offer, restaurants, ice cream, shops and much more! In the mornings I enjoyed my coffee in the gazebo as bunnies hopped around me. Such a relaxing place but also a short drive to anything you need. I would most definitely stay again, and if you book this place, you will not be disappointed!

Wonderful Accommodations!

This studio is beautifully decorated and renovated, and in a lovely, peaceful location. It's even better than the photos. The hosts are great, although I almost never saw them. My only problem was replying to messages through VRBO. That system is unnecessarily complicated, not using it again. But I will be renting the studio again, no complaints about it.

What I Needed

I was in the Greenfield area to do genealogy research. I needed a quiet place where I could read/research and could come and go independently. This location is wonderfully quiet and is located near a wildlife reserve. I enjoyed seeing all variety of birds and got to see beaver on my early morning walks. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, etc., so I could cook my meals. (I prefer to eat in so I cannot comment on any of the local eateries.) There is no television but I checked the weather on Weather Underground, and I used a radio app and a Netflix app that I have on my phone when I needed to take a break. There is a gazebo, and a pair of Adirondack chairs under a large maple tree for relaxing in the back yard. The hosts, Jon and Christine, are very nice and responded quickly if there were questions/issues. The only problem I encountered was in getting WiFi access. The current system of scanning the QR grid didn't work with my mobile so Jon needed to input the necessary information both on my phone and my laptop.

Cozy, quiet and comfortable!

We had a wonderful stay with Jon and Christine while visiting our daughter at college for parents' weekend. Both the property and studio are very clean and inviting, cozy, and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable! As someone with back issues, I find traveling can be difficult, but we had a very good sleep and no nerve or back issues from a different bed! Jon was very hospitable and even looked up what kind of mattress they had purchased! Thank you so much again!

Comfortable stay

Check in was smooth and the property was well-stocked and clean. The location did not offer very much convenience nearby, but that was expected. I offered a few suggested improvements to the owner, but I was told guests like everything just the way it is. Oh well. Tip: The Brewery at Four Star Farms, a 10-minute drive, is excellent, and they do not allow dogs which makes for a comfortable, peaceful place to enjoy a cold brew.

Peaceful retreat near Greenfield

This well-cared-for property provides a wonderful retreat for those seeking a peaceful place to stay while visiting the area. The studio requires walking up a set of well-lit interior stairs, so may not be for those with mobility issues, but the climb is worth the effort, as the studio itself is lovely and equipped with everything one might need for a comfortable stay, although it lacks any television screens (which for us was a plus!). The grounds are gorgeous, with nicely tended lawns and flower beds and comfortable seating. The village of Bernardston is a short walk and offers several restaurants and shops, and it’s just a 10 minute drive along a scenic road to Greenfield. We highly recommend this studio and would book again without hesitation.
