About the property

Cabin, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 12)

The mighty Yellowstone River runs through Montana's Paradise Valley where the gorgeous log home resides. Our home is nestled between Aspens and Cottonwoods on 20 very private acres at the base of 11,000 foot Emigrant Peak. Take a hike down to Six Mile Creek and fish for trout or look for deer, elk, and moose.

We are just 30 miles north of Yellowstone Park and 5 miles from Chico Hot Springs Resort, where you can soak in the natural hot springs pool. While your there have dinner at the Chico Restaurant; one of Montana's finest restaurants. World class fly fishing is available on the Yellowstone River and its numerous feeder creeks including Six Mile. Daily Lake (5miles) offers boating, windsurfing and recreational fishing.

60 minutes away is the city of Bozeman with Bridger Bowl for downhill skiing. Also Montana State University, The Museum of the Rockies, and excellent shopping in this uniquely Montana city.

30 minutes away is Livingston a quaint Montana town with many art galleries, authentic western saloons, and great restaurants. Enjoy a special vacation in a truly remarkable place.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Hi Mary,

Haven’t really had a chance till now to tell you how much we enjoyed the Grizmo Cabin. It was more than we expected and everything we hoped for. Everyone was comfortable inside and outside. Thank you for sharing it with us! I hope that Lindsay found everything in order. We could have stayed another month we enjoyed it so much!

Thank you!

Mountain House

  • 5 of 5

Everything we could possibly have needed was there. We ate in four nights-the kitchen is so very well equipped! Our favorite part of this house is the 360 degree view! Beautiful landscape using those magnificent rocks! It is also located very conveniently to everything we wanted to do-Yellowstone, Chico's & Livingston. We'd go back in a heartbeat!!

Labor Day Weekend in Montana

  • 5 of 5

We wish we had more time! There is so much to do-from exploring Yellowstone Park, fly fishing on the Yellowstone River, exploring Livingston, Chico Lodge, Yellowstone Lodge...relaxing on the deck with spectacular view of Emigrant Peak. This should be on everyone's bucket list.

Great Vacation in Montana

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our time in this cabin. The accommodations were ideal from the comfortable bedrooms and personal bathrooms to the perfect kitchen and great room. The view of Emigrant peak outside the large living room window was beautiful and the sound of a babbling brook at night puts you right to sleep. Situated perfectly for visiting Yellowstone Park, fly-fishing on the Yellowstone river, hiking, good restaurants, visit to the town of Livingston and not far from the Bozeman airport. Great couples vacation but would be good for families, too.

The cabin/house is located in an area with a nearby stream, farms and mountains all around. The cabin has got everything you need for a cozy, comfortable stay. Love the fireplace, family room downstairs and comfy beds. Close to Yellowstone, Chico Hot Springs Lodge and some fun day trips to Livingston and Bozeman, Montana. This was such a great couples trip! An amazing get away! The kids would also love this place. There is so much to do. We would recommend the Grizmo cabin to anyone! Hope to have the opportunity to return again, real soon!
