Great spot for a ski trip! Amazing place, loved every minute of our stay!
We had a great time at solitude, what an awesome place to get away and ski an amazing mountain! The condo was fantastic, the rooms and kitchen were very comfy and our friends who slept on the pullout said they had never had such a good night sleep on a couch before. We had six people in our party and we were all very comfortable for the duration of our stay. Having the locker and the garage under the condo made the logistics of our trip a breeze. We will definitely be back to Solitude in the future and I hope we get the opportunity to stay here again!
Great time had by all
Great place. Ski in ski out. Comfortable and clean
Great 2 bedroom unit in central location in the village. Well equipped kitchen with all we needed.
Great family vacation/ reunion with our adult children. Well laid out unit with enough room for all. We would definitely rent this again.
Location, location, location!
My family of 5 stayed in the Powderhorn condo the week between Christmas and New Year's- typically a crazy week on the slopes- and we never waited longer than 10' in a lift line!! LOVE Solitude! The mountain is fabulous with great snow and runs to challenge every level. We are all boarders and the runs were great for us- easy to stay out all day and never do a run twice, although we were partial to Moonbeam and Eagle Express runs! The condo is fantastic- well appointed, lots of towels, good cookwear (even a Crock Pot!)- free w/d one floor up and a wonderful hot tub downstairs that we used every night! There is a club right next door with a sauna and heated pool but we tended to use "our" hot tub. Buy groceries either in Salt Lake (there is a HUGE Costco!) or before the turnoff. We went to Park City for dinner one night and- although it's a cute town- we were very happy to return to Solitude, where we enjoyed ice skating in the afternoons (after the lifts close) and complimentary s'mores. There are also complimentary presentations most evenings- we attended the Birds of Prey (with real rescued owls, hawks & falcons) and a cool astronomy presentation. I would recommend this condo without reservation! Go and enjoy the Solitude!
Love this Place!
We have stayed at several condos in Solitude and this is our favorite. The windows give it a very light and open feeling. The owner is attentive and accommodating.
Our family arrived in the middle of a snowstorm on Christmas Eve. Our car was packed to the gills with people, luggage, ski gear, and groceries, so it was such a gift that we could pull in to a garage and unload out of the storm! There were even luggage trolleys to help us get up to the 3rd floor! I'm the kind of person who begins every vacation using Lysol wipes to clean the kitchen and baths and other surfaces. This place is not only beautiful and comfortable, but it is sparkling clean! I can honestly say that it felt like we were the first guests to stay here. I didn't even feel like I had to clean the dishes before I used them! The owners had a decorated a Christmas tree in the living room, and there were plenty of comfortable chairs to relax in front of the fire after a long day of skiing. My teenage boys really appreciated the new high tech tv that was able to play their go-pro videos of the day's skiing. The owners thoughtfully provide plenty of quality linens, various cleaning supplies, and even their personal collection of movies and books. The building is very quiet and very convenient to all the amenities of the Solitude Village. One thing that everyone commented on was that it felt so relaxed and peaceful. All the people who work in the village are extremely kind and friendly. There is a free laundry room on the 4th floor that has 2 washers and 4 dryers, and we did daily loads but never noticed anyone else using them. There is a hot tub just for this building that again was basically all our own. The size of this condo was just right for all 6 of us. It truly did feel like we spent a week in a snowy paradise. Solitude ski area was big enough and challenging enough for our experienced back country skiers but did not have the busy, crowded feel of some of the nearby resorts. We'd absolutely positively return to this place. Many fond memories.
