About this property

Ski in, Ski out 2 Bedroom condo. Large deck for Summer

This two bedroom/ two bath condo is located right in Solitude Village— a quick drive up Big Cottonwood Canyon, only 50 minutes from Salt Lake City Airport. The unit Sleeps six with two king beds and a pull out queen, hide-bed couch.

The unit has 3 TV's, 2 bathrooms, a gas fireplace, leather furniture and a fully equipped kitchen and dining table. Oriental carpets and artwork throughout.

As a corner unit, it has a large deck with a beautiful view of the ski hill and the village. There’s hot tub just down the stairs as well as a Club Solitude just a short walk away, granting guests access to a large outdoor heated pool, two outdoor hot tubs, a billiard room, exercise equipment, and media room.

Guests in the building (Powderhorn) are able to park in the building’s parking garage.

If you are trying to decide between Solitude, Brighton, Snowbird or Alta, you are on the right page. This makes a great base camp for all 4 resorts. The unit is a short walk to the lifts at Solitude and less than a 10 minute drive to Brighton. Solitude offers all levels of skiing from beginner to long, fun intermediate groomers, and if terrifying steep and deep terrain is your thing, we have that too. The owners are avid skiers and can take you to some of the best hidden powder stashes available—just ask.
It's a great place to stay in the summer as well! The plaza is out the front doors where Sunday concerts and activities for children occur. Ice cream and pizza are available nearby at the Stone Haus. Solitude as brand new biking and hiking trails. You could stay busy all day exploring the mountain! Rentals are in the Powderhorn Building.
There are several hikes ranging from easy to hard, a catch and release fishing pond the kids will enjoy in the summer months. Solitude is also offering Movies on the mountain during the summer. The Honeycomb Grill is a great place to grab a bite to eat and gaze at the scenery. It's always cooler at Solitude than it is in the valley during the summer months.

No Pets.

We live here on the weekends when it's not rented and live at the base of the canyon the rest of the time, so if anything comes up, we are ready to help.

Amazing Stay!

This was an amazing place to stay! Location was perfect for Solitude Mountain, wake up and walk right to the Apex Lift! Very easy check in and check out process and the host was very accommodating with us checking out later since they didn't have anyone checking in that same day! Very clean and cozy place to stay! Would definitely come back and stay here again for our next ski trip!

This was a great place to stay and Jill and Dave were fantastic. They were super helpful and very responsive. We even had an opportunity to ski together on one of the days. The location was perfect, we used the hot tub each night. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Place for Family Ski Vacation

Four of us stayed here for a post-Christmas famy ski vacation. We really enjoyed the condo. It is right in the village, maybe a couple hundred feet from the Apex lift. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen and family room set up. Highly recommended.

Wonderful ski vacation

Perfect place for a relaxing ski vacation. We skied Solitude and Brighton every day. The hot tub was perfect. The beds were comfortable. We loved it. Definitely buy all your groceries before heading up the canyon!

Great stay at a wonderful mountain

The location of the condo was perfect for ski-in, ski-out at Solitude. While there were a few issues, the owner and maintenence staff addressed everything quickly, making accomodations for us and our schedules. I would gladly go back with my family again.

Great Stay with 5 feet of Snow for Skiing!

We lucked out with a huge amount of snow while we stayed here for a week. Jill and Dave were very quick to respond and accommodating and the condo was very cozy and clean. Dave also gave a lot of great skiing advice for find some of the best spots on each of the nearby mountains.

My daughter, husband and I stayed in the condo. It was very well kept up. Clean, well furnished, plenty of towels. Solitude is an exceptional resort to stay in. We used to own out there and it always feels like home. Would recommend this condo and resort.

Solitude Ski Vacation

The property was exactly as advertised. The owners/guests we met on property were all very friendly. Underground free parking was a welcome bonus. The SolBright trail was often closed so having a warm, clean vehicle ready to go to Brighton was an asset. The ski locker can hold 4 pairs of skis and poles.

Excellent location and Smooth Stay

My wife, son and I had a fantastic stay at this condo that could not be more convenient to slopes, village restaurants, etc. We ate out or ordered in each night so did not need to use much available in the condo, but it seemed fully stocked with what you would need/expect. Jill was incredibly responsive before and during the stay, and the check-in was extremely smooth. All good!

Spectacular Ski Village Stay

Jill and Dave were excellent hosts to us from the time of booking through our departure. They provided excellent information before our arrival and throughout our stay. Their home in the Solitude Village is spectacular, a MUST DO! Ski-in / Ski-out and an abundance of amenities throughout the Village. Been Smoked in

Upon arrival, everything appeared great. After a couple of nights two of us didn't feel well, yet once outside skiing we felt great. Long story short, the Condo appears to have been previously smoked in and the stench is still there. If you're a smoker, you in luck. If you're sensitive to cigarette smoke, look for another place to stay. The second to last morning I felt horrible and considered going into Salt Lake and finding a clean hotel room. Location to Solitude Skiing is great and the garage had adequate space for our large vehicle.

We are some of the original condo owners at Solitude. We take pride in owning a part of heaven. Solitude offers something the other ski resorts in Utah don't offer: Solitude. If you want to get away but still be close to the fun, come stay at Solitude.

Why they chose this property

We have been skiing in Utah for decades. We originally loved Park City but decided it was too crowded so we found this beautiful condo and want to share our fun with others. We also love it at Solitude in the summer. Hiking, biking, eating, and just enjoying. the beauty. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

Solitude is literally in the tops of the mountains. It never seems crowded and the ski lift lines are usually very short. In the winter there are 2 ski resorts to choose from, but Solitude is the one that offers great housing and food! It has the feel of a small European ski village. The original owner intended it to be that way, and they succeeded. The staff is friendly, and the ski instruction outstanding. Besides skiing, there are snowshoe trails, and a cross country course. And places to sled later in the day. In the summer, there are new biking trails accessed from the base or via the Sunrise Life. Hiking, walking, and swimming. There is music on Sunday out on the plaza, and movies in the evening outside. There is something for everyone!
