Somewhere On A Beach Cottage is the perfect summer vacation home to host your family and friends. Enjoy a prime location at MP 5 in Kill Devil Hills, easily walk or bike to excellent restaurants, grocery stores, boutiques, beaches, bike trails and other OBX fun.

Welcome to your beach bliss, where home comforts intertwine with vacation excitement. Our well-appointed cottage is perfect for those seeking comfort, convenience, and a dash of adventure.

Upon entering, the first floor reveals a fantastic game room, complete with a TV, comfortable queen sleeper sofa couch, and addictive stand-up Arcade Games like NBA Jam, Pac-Man or Golden Tee. A washer and dryer for your laundry needs and a convenient half bath are also situated on this floor.

Ascend to the second floor where the heart of our home lies. An open concept floor plan allows everyone to stay connected, whether you're whipping up a feast in our well-equipped kitchen or lounging on our sofa and love seat. Sleep soundly in our three bedrooms which include two queen rooms and a bunk bedroom, all decked out with temper-pedic toppers and summer down comforters for that extra dash of luxury. Two well-appointed bathrooms (one en-suite in the master bedroom) ensure everyone can freshen up with ease.

Step outside to discover a backyard paradise. BBQ lovers will rejoice with our two grills (propane and charcoal), and an outdoor eating area overlooks the enticing Pool. The evening isn't complete without making memories around our propane fire pit or trying your hand at horseshoe pits.

Our shed contains- Two adult bikes, two kid bikes, two scooters, cornhole boards, foam surfboard, several boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, beach toys, Wheeleez beach cart and a hard cooler.

Our cottage is located a hundred yards away from mini golf, go cart racing and an arcade. You can easily walk to Henry's Seafood and Dunkin Donuts as well. You can also walk west a few blocks over to Bay Drive to watch sunsets on the sound. There is a dock and boat ramp located close by as well and a bike/walking path that continues for several miles.

Perfect spot for a get away

I've been going to the OBX since I was a kid, and this house and location are perfection! Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds (with sound machines!), and so many more perks.

The Perfect Place

From the location to the genrosity and responsiveness of the host, Somewhere on the Beach is perfect. My wife and my three kids enjoyed our week long stay so much that we plan on renting again next year. If you are looking for a great place to stay on OBX, look no further, Somewhere on the Beach is it!

Amazing House!

We had a long weekend here with family, and the house was absolutely perfect. The outdoors spaces are so accommodating, and our kids were always entertained when we were not on the beach. The beds are comfortable, and everything is very well stocked. I highly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Home away from home

We absolutely loved this house. It was perfect for both families staying together. We loved having our own pool to come back to after a long day at the beach. The kids loved the arcade games. We don’t make it down to OBX every year, but we definitely would come back and stay here again!

Family vacation

We had family visiting from out of state and although the weather was not in our favor the home sure was! So cozy and had everything we needed right there. The amenities and complementary items were above and beyond. Made our stay fantastic!

As close to perfect as you can get

What an absolute wonderful stay in the obx at this most beautiful home. Everything was regarding this home is above and beyond. Clean, comfortable, convenient. The host is extremely accommodating and very responsive if you do need to contact them. We really can’t say enough good things about our stay here. There isn’t an uncomfortable seat in this exceptional home. Also, the beds are so SO comfortable!! Can’t thank them enough for sharing their lovely beach house.

Comfortable family vacation

Overall the the house was nice with a few minor cleaning and maintenance concerns. The outdoor pool, hot tub, gas fire pit and outdoor spaces were amazing except for the fire ants in the backyard. Nice quiet neighborhood, close to everything except the beach. Need to drive to public access and parking or make a long hot hike across a very busy 4 lane highway. A bit overpriced for that reason but other than that, a comfortable, well equipped beach house for a family vacation.

My wife, dog, and I headed down to this cottage for a relaxing vacation in the Outer Banks and were blown away. The house is beautiful, walking distance from restaurants, putt putt and the beach, and had probably the best amenities I've ever seen. Between the private pool, hot tub, horseshoes, game room, grills - we really never felt a reason to leave the house. I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning the next chance I get. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Excellent host as well, very clear in communications and professional.

Quick weekend trip to OBX for hand gliding

Tony and Shannon have a beautiful beach house. Everything was consistent with the listing. We had a great visit and will look this property up again when we return to OBX for hang gliding...hopefully we will have bet luck with the wind. Their house has all the right touches. Games, hot tub, nice fenced yard for the dogs. Pool looks awesome, but was closed for the season. Perfectly clean. He had no issues during our stay. Thanks for allowing our family to stay at your beautiful beach house. Tom and Libby

22nd Anniversary Weekend (10-13 February 2023)

This property was absolutely perfect for my wife and I to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. It was located in a quaint and quiet neighborhood not far off of Hwy 158. It’s location put you perfectly nestled in close proximity to the entire OBX points of interest. The property details were absolutely spot on as described and shown in the photos. This property had everything we could have asked for and more. Well stocked kitchen, spacious living/ dining room, plenty of space and wonderfully comfortable beds. After a day of seeing the sights; a relaxing soak in the properties hot tub was the perfect ending in the evening. Tony and Shannon were excellent hosts throughout the booking process and our stay. Knowing we were celebrating an anniversary they welcomed us with a nice card and a sweet gift to help us celebrate. If coming to the OBX, this property is a must stay. My wife and I will definitely utilize this property again should we visit the area.

Amazing house! ❤️

This was our families 10th year traveling to OBX. This was by far our best stay yet! House was extremely clean. Fully stocked kitchen- high chair, pack n play, and jogging stroller if you are traveling with a little one. I am usually very hesitant about using these things in a rental home but they were all extremely clean. The beds were so comfortable and the sound machines were a huge hit with the kids. The pool was clean and was perfect size for what we needed. Beach is not in walking distance but only a short drive which is clearly stated in the description of the house. Our boys loved that they were in walking distance to the arcade and go karts. Since we travel to OBX yearly we like to stay at different places each year. However this house will be tough to beat and we will most definitely be back!! Dont hesistate to book this rental.

Amazing Home

We had a wonderful weekend at your home. I would definitely recommend and stay there again. I have never stayed in a rental so clean and all amenities you could ever need. The beds also slept amazing which doesn’t usually happen . I could never say enough about this place. Thank you so much for a wonderful place to stay, we had a great weekend celebrating our daughters 18th birthday.

A Perfect Weekend

Such an adorable house with really nice amenities. Beds were so comfy with sound machines, which was such a nice touch. Great pool & hot tub, we used them often. Loved the fire pit and the proximity to everything. The house is clean and nicely decorated. We will definitely book again! Thanks!

Spotless, immaculate, beautiful place

We have stayed at many VRBOs over the years and LOVED Somewhere On A Beach! It was spotlessly clean, super cute, and had all the little details that take a vacation home to the next level -- a Welcome hand-written card, bottle of vodka in the theme of the house, toiletries to use, books for the kids, etc etc. Highly, highly recommend!

Amazing Visit

The only negative thing I have to say about our stay was that we wish we could’ve stayed longer! The property was extremely clean and well stocked with everything you need. The pool and hot tub were awesome as well as the other outdoor amenities at this property. There are 4 bikes (two adult and two kids with one having training wheels) as well as a few scooters. The inside was plenty spacious for the 6 of us and the downstairs game room was nice for the kids. This was our first trip to OBX and it did not disappoint. The location is close to the Wright Brothers Museum and is also an easy drive to Duck, Corolla, etc. as well as close to restaurants and a few grocery stores.

Family beach vacation

The best way to describe this house was a cozy cottage perfect for a family. The use of space, color and gear was well thought out. My wife and I took our morning tea and coffee on the deck. Dinner in the outside dining area was a great place to gather at the end of the day. Yes we had to either bike or walk to the beach 🏖 but that was only minutes away. As was the multi use trail by the sound. Location in Kill Devil Hills was great The host answered all of our questions and then some. If there was an issue or concern it was handled. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone.

Absolutely Gorgeous!

This house was fantastic! It has everything you need, just bring your clothes and food, and your good to go! The home was very clean and comfortable. The beds were the best! We had plenty of space with our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. The neighborhood was quiet, containing some locals and some rentals. The pool area was great and even had pool floats available for you to use. The outhouse was really handy for the kids to quickly change and rinse off. It also made a great place to hang wet towels and suits. The shed had everything you'd need for the beach plus some! Tony and Shannon were great! They were quick and easy to get ahold of when needed and easy to work with. If your looking for a great vacation, I would highly recommend this rental!

Great place to stay for small gatherings

Went down mainly for a friend's birthday house was updated and very clean. Everything worked as advertised. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay down. Owner communicated very quickly with any questions I had. Definitely going to be looking for this property again next time we plan on going down for a weekend.

Excellent Rental

We absolutely enjoyed our stay one of the best places the Flores family has stayed and we have stayed in a lot of different places. We will definitely be back. Very clean, Kid friendly, well maintained. We love this house.
