Welcome to our home! We prioritize your comfort and privacy during your stay. Here is everything you need to know about guest check-in:
1. Host Availability: While we aim to provide you with a seamless experience, we are just a message away! Once your reservation is booked, you will have access to my contact info if you have any questions or need assistance during your stay.
2. Contactless Entry: For your convenience, we offer a contactless entry system with a smart lock. You will receive a code before your arrival. The code will be the last 4 digits of the phone number of the primary guest.
3. Check-in is anytime after 4pm and check-out is 10am. The door code is valid from 3:45 at check-in and till 10:15 at checkout. This ensures that our space is ready for the next guests.

I can recommend a daily umbrella delivery, setup and takedown service should you be interested.
7. Parking: Enjoy hassle-free parking with off street parking for 2 cars. With strategy, we can accommodate 4.
8. WiFi:

Experience a seamless arrival with our contactless check-in process using a smart lock, allowing you to settle in at your convenience.

Prior to your stay, we require you to complete our Pre-Arrival Form, and sign and agree to our Rental Conditions.

We have a strict 8 person maximum occupancy, including children. All guest names in the booking party must be listed in our Pre-Arrival form.

Please note that this property is a duplex with two separate dwellings that are not connected internally. Upstairs is a 2 bdrm/2bath unit, and downstairs is a 2 bdrm/1 bath unit. You have access to the whole property, but there are separate entrances for the upstairs and downstairs units.

Pets:
We have a strict no-pet policy. If you bring an unauthorized pet, there will be a charge of $500 for the extra cleaning and could be cause for immediate eviction without a refund.

Parties or gatherings with additional guests are not allowed. If you have a party during your stay, this is cause for immediate eviction without a refund.

We have exterior security cameras with audio on the front, back and pool.
The pool camera is only reviewed if there are issues or concerns.

Our home is nonsmoking. If you smoke inside the property, there will be a fine of $500 for cleaning/ sanitizing services.

Pool Guidelines:
Pool heating is available for an additional fee of $25 per day, and it would apply to every day of your stay.
NO DIVING!
The pool is a dip pool with a depth of 3 feet to 5 feet.
There is no lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.
Be sure the gate latch connects to keep the pool secure and safe for everyone, especially children.

Grill:
We have a gas grill available for your use during your stay.
Please clean the grill after use.
If the grill is not cleaned by the end of your stay, there is an additional $150 to clean the grill for you.

Pak-n-Play/ Mini-Crib/ High Chair:
We offer these amenities for your little ones for an additional set up/sanitizing fee of $25.

Best reunion stay! We loved the property, all 7of us. The house was clean and well stocked, pool was a great gathering place, with chase lounges. Also, beach chairs provided to sit by ocean. The upstairs rental was perfect for our big meals and sitting on the porch watching the waves. Would definitely book again.

We keep coming back!

This was our third year in a row staying in Amy’s beach house (which my 4 year old now calls “his beach house.”). Each year, it gets harder and harder to leave at the end. Amy makes everything so easy! Beach chairs, beach and pool toys, coffee makers, kitchen utensils, toys, etc. all make traveling with children easier. The pool is small, but such an amazing way to relax and unwind from the beach. The location is great and a quick walk across the road to the beach. We can’t wait for year four!

My family loved this house! We had a blast! The pool was so much fun! Also, having that wonderful convenient access to the beach was amazing. Family vacation

We rented both upstairs and downstairs for our stay. Plenty of room for the 6 of us gals! The pool was amazing and we spent most of our time there. Easy walk to the beach as well. 7-10 min drive to dining and shopping. The hostess, Amy, was absolutely amazing and very accommodating. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect house for a big family

Check in Process: The check in process was amazing. You receive the code right before arrival and you walk right in. We had no issues.Communication with property manager: The communication was amazing. We had a few questions along the way, and received a response almost immediately. We did have an issue with the ac upon arrival, but we had someone at the house within 30 minutes. Location of Home: The location is extremely close to the resturants and shops in downtown. Grocery stores and the Dollar General are less than 10 minutes away. Best of all, you are right across from the beach! You are able to look at the ocean from your bedroom or livingroom while relaxing.Overall the home was perfect for our family. There is an upstairs and downstairs that is separated. Both the upstairs and downstairs have full kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms. They are fully stocked and provide you everything you need including utensils, plates, cooking supplies, towels, etc. The outside of the house was under renovation, but the inside was what mattered the most. The pool outside was the most used area and probably the best part of the house. It is surrounded by a fence, therefore we had plenty of privacy. It was a heated pool, so my family really loved that! I highly recommend staying here!

Enjoyable stay for a large group. The property was comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Even though it was cold we were able to use the heated pool. The beach was just a short walk. There were many nice restaurants just a short drive to get to. The host was friendly and highly responsive.

Getaway

The proximity to the beach and view of the ocean is a HUGE win for this property. Open the curtain in the bedroom and the living room and you have a terrific view of the sea. There is a small balcony on which you can sit and enjoy. In the back of the house there is a lovely pool surrounded with nice landscaping and comfy loungers. The beds are quite comfy and the decor is eclectic and fun. There were nice amenities in the small, but sufficient kitchen. Large TVs were great for watching movies in the living room or larger bedroom. The appearance of the home could use a facelift. A bit tired and unkempt, which was deceiving since inside was quite lovely. One update for inside would be to update the floors as they seem to be raising. There was a good bit of noise due to construction next door that soured the relaxing moments by the pool or during the day, but that’s uncontrollable. Any time I reached out with a question we got a friendly, quick response. Helpful, informative and nice. We did have an uninvited guest (pest” that somehow survived the exterminator treatment. We shared Thai info and had a very prompt reply and the issue was addressed. Florida has a fair share of these creepy crawlers, unfortunately.

Hotel stay would have been easier

Check in process is nerve racking. Felt like we were trying to “get away” with something. We were coming in for a wedding and were told we could not even have people drop by if they were not on the rental agreement, really created a stressful situation and paranoia. Also, you can hear EVERYTHING from the apartment upstairs at all hours. Insulation is nearly non existent from road noise and upstairs tenants, so just be prepared. Lastly read the details check out is 10am, very early for a VRBO and again just created an extra stress for what should have been a delightful weekend of memories at the beach with family and friends.

I grew up traveling to Fernandina Beach as a child and fell in love, so naturally it was the beach sweet spot that we always gravitated to for vacation.
We raised our children spending the summers playing in the afternoon tide pools, searching for shark teeth, walking down the beach to play putt putt, and picking out books at the BookLoft downtown to complete summer reading requirements. We have made so many special memories on Amelia Island and we hope that your family and friends will too!

Why they chose this property

Our dream came true to own a slice of heaven when we made our first Fernandina Beach purchase at 240/ 244 South Fletcher Avenue. This property at 551 South Fletcher Avenue is our 3rd property and it is very special. It is situated across the street from the beach but boasts beautiful views of the ocean from the upstairs deck. Get comfy in the cozy deck chair with a good book or settle in for a good nap!
Our newest feature for this property is a beautiful swimming pool! Two waterfalls are a lovely backdrop spilling over the stone ledger wall.

What makes this property unique

We started construction on the swimming pool in January. We discovered after some research that there are not many homes with swimming pools on the beach rental market. This lot provided ample room for the pool and plenty of space to gather with friends and family. We allow up to 8 guests (including children) at all times.
