The Cottages at Cultus Lake

The “Cottages” is a charming, 60-acre gated community at the south end of Cultus Lake. Nestled amongst ancient cedars is a remarkable resort-like amenity building with two pools, two hot tubs, and fitness centre, as well as various outdoor sports courts, playgrounds, open park spaces and interconnecting walking trails. The community is very safe, family friendly with lots of kids where it is easy to meet people your own age. Cultus Lake is a popular summer destination with water slides, adventure-park, golf, swimming, boating, and hiking. Only a 90 minute drive from Vancouver it offers a great family vacation experience.

Our cottage is centrally located and is one of only a dozen cottages backing on to the pond and facing the picturesque Cherry Tree Lane. The back deck receives just the right balance of sun and shade at all times of the year and has a panoramic full length view of the pond. All of the rooms are on the main floor, two bedrooms and two full bathrooms alongside the kitchen and great room with French doors opening on to a large deck. It is fully equipped with well-appointed kitchen, comfortable bedding, gas fireplace and extensive entertainment centre including high speed fibre Internet .

You can have your morning coffee on the back deck overlooking the tranquil pond and watch the sun rise over the mountains. After breakfast lounge by the pools at the Tree House or walk down to the lake for a refreshing swim. Engage in activities, such as, tennis, a work out at the gym, a walk around the complex or just relax and read in the hammock. For those cozy indoor days there are board games, puzzles, and a wide selection of DVDs or live streaming via Wifi to enjoy in front of the fire.

Gem of a property!

We really enjoyed our time at this cottage. The kids had a blast at the pools and we really enjoyed hanging out on the deck with the view of the beautiful lagoon. The cottage was quiet and cool in hot weather. It had everything we needed to make our stay fun and relaxing. The surrounding area of cultus lake is absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend staying here and we hope to come back.

Great Experience

The cottage was clean and really well stocked. The check in process was super easy and Roger and Sandy made sure we knew where everything was like grocery stores, places to get ice cream and directions to the beach. There were even fresh homemade cookies left for us when we arrived!

Magical Cabin

We were so happy we chose this house for our family vacation. Not only was it beautiful and in such a magical setting for our kids it was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. There was a variety of items for the kids to play with and use in the pool. The pool and hot tubs were beautiful and felt like we were staying in a resort. Roger was wonderful to communicate with and answered my questions very promptly. Our kids did not want to leave and we hope to return next summer!

We had the best family vacation at this cottage. Everything was perfect. The check-in process was seamless. We were sent a code for the gate and the cottage. The cottage was located in a beautiful gated community. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We borrowed a puzzle from the community center, enjoyed many swims in the pool and playing pickle ball in the tennis courts. The cottage is very close to Cultas Lake for swimming and the water slides. We can’t wait to come back.

Great cottage!

We stayed here with our two girls (5 &7) and had a great holiday! The cottage is in a great location- a nice short walk to the treehouse and the pond behind the house makes a nice view! We loved the pool, the kids pool is great for all ages, and the adult pool and hot tubs are great too. The quiet streets and gated community made it so safe and nice to bike or scooter around. Our hosts responded quickly and were wonderful to deal with. The cottage had so many games to play and even a Super Nintendo which we had fun with. We would definitely stay again!

Cozy relaxing getaway

We have stayed at the Cottages multiple times, in various seasons. Roger and Sandy's place backs onto the pond and has a shaded patio throughout the day to relax on. We hosted a happy hour with the neighbours. There is a trail around the pond that people walk their dogs on all day. I brought my elderly parents out for a day and they just sat on the patio and people watched. My kids in their 20s also came for a day and used the pool and amenities. It's a short walk to Cultas Lake and the ice cream store. We mostly just enjoyed relaxing at the Cottage.

Cottage by the pond

My family and I had such a relaxing stay at this property. It overlooks the pond and is walking distance to all of the amenities. The owner left some treats for us when we arrived and responded promptly to texts and calls. We would recommend staying in this gated community as it feels like a resort. Definitely a great vacation spot!

Family Friendly Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. The cottage and amenities were excellent and it was a wonderful place to be together as a family. The cottage was well stocked and even had some toys and books available for the kids. Thank you Roger for the treats that were there when we arrived!

Summer Stay

Lots of room for a family of four (two adults with 10 and 8 y.o.). Kids enjoyed roaming the resort on their scooters. There are pools/hot tubs, indoor games room, playgrounds, sport courts, etc. The house backs onto a pond and has a nice side yard for the kids to play, it was clean and well stocked with basics (Incl. kids toys). The resort is close enough to Cultus Lake as well as the Adventure and Waterpark - which made it easier to get to these in demand areas early to beat lines/parking. If you are planning to go to the lake or the Waterpark pack lawn chairs and some kind of sun shelter. My rookie mistake. Beds are a little soft, but other than that no complaints. Great communication from landlord. Thanks again for the thoughtful treats Roger. Would recommend to others.

Our background with Cultus Lake goes back a long way. My brother and I used to come fishing and camping with family at Cultus back in the 1960’s.

When my wife and I had a young family we camped out at Cultus Lake. We had four children and couldn’t afford to fly anywhere. After a few years we moved up from camping to renting cabins through a company called Great Spots Vacations and visited the Gulf Islands, Sunshine coast and the Okanagan. When we were lucky enough to be able to own a family cabin we decided that Cultus was the spot.

We are pleased to share this with our renters. Hope you enjoy a thoroughly relaxing vacation.

Our cabin is one of twelve situated on the pond and is surrounded by mountains. Is also situated for just the right amount of sun all times of the year. On December 21st you can get 4 hours of sunshine on the back deck.
