The Hilltop

A spacious timber frame built from rough cut lumber atop a hill with views for miles. Wake up each morning to the chorus of remote wilderness, unwind over a deep soak in the large jacuzzi tub, and recharge in living silence on the patio of creation.

Welcome to God’s Country Getaways! Surrounded by forested ridges, farm field valleys, and spring fed trout streams. We are literally over the river and through the woods!

Your adventure begins the second you arrive!

The gravel roads wind through the forest like a secret trail, dipping and climbing over rolling hills to your own private escape!

Adventure turns to relaxation with the turn of a key.

Entire cabin

Self-check in, details will be sent on the day of the reservation.

During winter months, all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended.

During summer our archery shop and 3D archery course will be open May-Sept on the weekends, the cabins are not affected.
If you are unable to make the check-in window or unsure of your check-in time please let us know and we will direct you to a self check-in.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Beautiful retreat

It was a perfect place for a quiet weekend. The cabin is great. It was awesome to relax and take in some beautiful woods and fresh air. We will definitely be back.

Relaxing and Beautiful

The pictures on VRBO do not do justice to how beautiful this spot is. The Bed was so comfortable the furnishings and little touches makes this such a wonderful spot..loved the robes, hot tubs, lighting, grill. Truly fantastic stay...loved the check in and check out process.

beautiful, quiet, and clean stay!

this place exceeded our expectations in all aspects and wish we would’ve had time to stay longer! we were surprised at the little accommodations such as a picnic basket, robes, a speaker for music; just enough for 2. While a little mouse watched us eat breakfast, the place was very clean and well taken care of. Thanks for the great stay!

As expected!

Very cozy get-away for a romantic night-in with the wife- perfectly set up for couples- the hot tub is amazing! Can't hear or see any neighbors or traffic- that was a plus for us.

Neglected is the best word to describe this place. It has potential, but general maintenance seems to have been ignored for years. The ceiling fan shook so much it appeared it would fall off the ceiling any minute. The railing felt wobbly and, in general, the place was run-down. It was, however, clean and serviceable. The double tub was wonderful. The towels were something I would send with kids to camp rather than offer a guest. There were a few dishes to use, but you had to kneel on the floor to get them. I forgot my shampoo, and dish or hand soap were the only options. If this place were given the upkeep and care it probably had in the beginning, it would be great. In its current state, and the hospitality it offered it was way overpriced.

Diane, we are so sorry to hear this was your experience. It is stated in the listing that soaps and wash are not provided and the pictures do show that the cupboards sit upon the floor. We will be sure to check the railings and fan, this is the first we have heard of this, thank you for that information!
