About Kurt

As working professionals and parents we treasure the time we have to share with our family and friends. Nothing is more relaxing and enjoyable to us than to visit our home in Cape Coral. Here we can escape the stress of work and the hustle and bustle of our sports schedules.

Kurt purchased this house in 2009

Why Kurt chose Cape Coral

Visiting the area with friends we fell in love with the Southwest Florida area. It has so much to offer as a vacation destination. We have met so many new friends in Cape Coral and found connections to the area with old friends, business associates and acquaintances at home.

What makes this house unique

With our waterfront location, private pool and close proximity to Sanibel, Captiva, Ft. Myers and Cape Coral beaches we have opportunity for so much variety when we visit. The short drive to Tampa or Orlando add the chance for day trips to amusement and adventure parks. Discovery Cove was amazing last October and we always enjoy Busch Gardens and Seaworld. And who doesn't love Disney?

Guestbook comments from the owner

We enjoyed our week here in Florida and your home was beautiful as well as comfortable. Each year we come for spring break at this time and would consider renting from you again, depending on the size of our party. Thank you again.

Sincerely,

Kristin

Perfect for family & freinds

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful home with all the luxuries! We loved our stay from beginning to end. What a fantastic location for quick access to restaurants and other activities. A short drive to Fort Myers Beach or Sannibel Island. The owner was extremely accommodating. We had beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and water toys for the kids available for our use. The pool was fantastic. We enjoyed many evenings on the lanai sipping cocktails while the kids enjoyed the pool. We are definitely planning a future vacation at this home.

Wonderful Time!!

  • 5 of 5

The Chiquita home is beautiful and has all the amenities anyone would need. Check in and out were simple. We had 2 family's with a total of 7 guests. The pool area was enjoyable for winding down and playing cards in the evenings and a few evenings were a little colder so the hot tub was great. The home is large and the design is nice that everyone had their own space. The boys caught many fish right off the dock and there is a bait store right down the road. The boys also tried out the kayaks in the canal and we also used the beach chairs and umbrellas which were great. This home is a short 30 minute drive (depending on traffic) to both Ft. Myers and Sanibel beaches. We also rented a boat for 4 days of our stay and navigating the canals was easy and getting to the river was about a 30 minute boat ride. There were many restaurants and shopping near by. The basket on the table in the home was loaded with many suggestions for places to eat, things to do etc.

The only negative was the road in front of the home was a busy and a bit noisy at times otherwise we loved the home and the area and will definitely be back. It was a great escape from the MN winter!

Thanks for sharing your home with us!!

Great house!

  • 5 of 5

The house was very clean and well-appointed. The kitchen was large and equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room for our group of 3 couples. The lanai and pool/spa area are beautiful. The home was close to everything, easy access to grocery stores and restaurants. The only thing I would suggest is that detailed instructions on how to use the pool/spa remote be left for guests. Even after 5 days we had a hard time figuring it out, and we had an engineer and a computer expert with us. No doubt it was operator error...just a suggestion for future guests. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Great luxurious house

  • 5 of 5

After many years visiting the east coast, we decided to give the West coast a try. Very different, more easy-going and laid back. We liked. The house we choose is fantastic. A dream home. Well situated to go to Sanibel-Captiva or Fort Myers and the southern areas like Naples (1 hr drive) and Marco Island. This house has everything, a former model home, it shows in all the details. It is at the end of a canal. As mentionned by another reviewer, the pool and spa heater is tricky to operate. Had to call Kurt a few times before understanding how to operate it. Maybe a manual of operation would help, but Kurt was very helpful in making sure it worked OK. The area was hit by a tornado in our 1st week, quite an experience. Kurt made sure we were OK. He even sent us a basket of fruits to thanks us for renting with him. I have never seen that from an owner. This is a cheap rental for the quality of the house!!!

Chiquita House

  • 5 of 5

Everyone young (grandkids) and old (mother-in-law) enjoyed our vacation time at the Chiquita house. It is in a fantastic location. The house was clean and well equipped. Hopefully we will be back in the future to rent it again.

The rental agreement is plain and simple, and Kurt is great at responding quickly to any questions. We hated to leave the house and Cape Coral.

Great accommodations

  • 5 of 5

A Florida vacation was a Christmas gift to our children and grandchildren, and this house helped make our vacation perfect (the weather helped too). It was roomy, the beds were very comfy, and the pool was lovely. We spent almost every day at the beach and all the beach gear in the garage came in very handy. Beach chairs, umbrellas, toys for the little ones and lots of beach towels. When it was time to leave the beach, we told the kids they could swim at home and there was no problem leaving. It's in a convenient location - easy to get just about anywhere. Would definitely stay here again.
