Summer time & the livin' is easy at our Little Lodge.

Our wonderful family cabin is nestled in the picturesque Boulder Bay area, just about 8-10 minutes from the Village and the ski resorts! Across the street is open land, a peek a boo view of the lake can be seen from the lower deck off the living room and upper deck off the master bedroom. The living room has a 50" flat screen TV and DVD player along w/ a large stone gas fireplace to warm your tootsies and enjoy sharing about all those great hikes, your "BIG" catch of the day , play some horseshoes, maybe a little bumperpool, ...perhaps enjoying some family/friend time by the fire, reading, watching a great movie with some popcorn and having that hot chocolate or glass of wonderful wine! BBQ in the sunny clear mtn.air...nothing quite like it!

This is the time to refresh, relax and renew, exactly what our Little Lodge offers.... A cozy cabin, games, family, friends, heart warming times full of unforgettable memories, a little BBQ, take a walk to the lake, watch some great movies on a large TV, hear the birds and feed the squirrels... your heart will smile... Our Little Lodge is ready for you to enjoy the peacefulness of quite Boulder Bay, cool sunny days, chilly star filled nights, 'family fun;) We invite you to stay with us for the most memoriable time in Big Bear! We hope to be able to share all our 'Little Lodge' has to offer with you, family & friends!

The garage has been converted into a playroom with carpet, TV/DVD, comfy chairs, bumperpool table and darts. Fun for the kids or a 'man cave!'

All 3 bedrooms have TV's and DVD players; the bunk room has some children's toys and books. We are kid friendly , everyone is welcome. The living room and upstairs master both have large sliding glass doors and many windows to enjoy the views! There is also a full size bed in the window seat (den next to the living room) complete w/ linens, pillows and blankets. Each room is decorated in a cabin/mountain theme w/ a splash of Tuscan thrown in :) One room even has that romantic touch!

This cabin has been in our family since 1963 when my parents built the first 700 sq. ft. In 2009 we completed a total remodel and additions to bring it up to 1700 sq. ft. We now have 3 generations of family memories, working on the 4th, and would love for you to share those w/ us and create your own!

Since the entire cabin is fairly new, all the linens, bedding, and towels are newly purchased in 2015/2016, we are constantly "renewing.".. Kitchen is completely stocked with most everything you would need. We provide guest soaps and lotions also! The appliances are fairly new, the washer and dryer also. For those of you who enjoy the old, we have saved a few relics. The brick fireplace in the dinning area is the original; we put a wood stove in and large comfy chair to sit 'by the fire!' Dining table seats 7 and there are 5 bar stools.......

So please take a real look at our ad. As mentioned earlier would love to share w/ you! Fun in the sun, snow; whatever you enjoy...BBQ on the covered deck while watching the kids play and hearing the sounds of laughter! Memories :) Maybe a little horseshoes in the snow, it's been done!!!???

***Note... Fall 2014 we added an additional 1/2 bath and additional 100 sq. ft. that will replace the twin size bed in the window seat to a full size. Plus a little more space for those kiddies to 'camp out in sleeping bags' if they choose!***

****Free WiFi in every room.****Ample parking for 4 cars and your boat! 3 bikes available for your use also...summer only.

About Linda

Happy 2017! We are excited to share our wonderful home away from home w/ you! Our family consists of 10

and growing, 2 grandchildren, adding a daughter in Aug..! We live in OC w/ 1 son in San Francisco. There are 4 SDSU graduates, 1 LBSU, 1 Loyola grad and a University of Oregon Duck grad, and a Cal grad!!! This cabin has been in my family since the 60's...we remodeled all of it and added on 900 sq ft and a garage in 2009! So for 3 generations Big Bear has been in our blood. I learned to ski here as did all my children, and grandchildren...We truly hope your stay w/ us is perfect..lots of love and care has gone into our cabin..it's pretty special to us and ask that you care for it as carefully as we do. We want it to be around for generations to come!

Linda purchased this cabin in 2009

Why Linda chose Big Bear Lake

Our cabin has been in my family since the 60's. My husband and I have taken the original structure, updated it, remodeled and added the 900 sq ft. The original footprint still exists. There is a picture that tells the entire story! There is definitely a special reason we keep coming back!!!

What makes this cabin unique

Little Lodge is located near Boulder Bay. My children have fished there, kayak and bike. We take great walks around the lake; walk to the small coffee shop for breakfasts. It's a great location for some R & R; also just a short drive to the Village and resorts for that fun. It's wonderful to come back after along fun filled day out. BBQ, swing on the front porch swing, play horseshoes etc...!Love to listen to the sounds of the pines at night, look at the all the stars and smell the fireplace burning...can't beat it!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Went on lots of walks, antiquing and shopping in the Village, played lots of games, drank lots of wine..Your cabin is very welcoming and inviting; comfortable and convenient. Every amenity you could ever need was available to us! Our memeories will never be forgotten! Taken from the guestbook :)

Ultra Clean and Super Comfy! The BEST Experience

  • 5 of 5

Clean, comfortable, and perfectly close to everything you want! This review was inspired after my second trip to the cabin, I’m looking forward to the 3rd! The property is huge and well appointed. The interior and exterior look new and well kept. The bedrooms inside are spacious and the kitchen, family, and dining room are well appointed. Out back we enjoyed BBQ dinner while enjoying our wine. Driving to the property was simple thanks to its prime location in Boulder Bay. Nearby there’re plenty of activities and restaurants to enjoy. The lake is a stone’s throw away and emphasizes the beautify of the properties surroundings. This cabin could easily accommodate a large family or two and has all the amenities you’d want for the grandchildren to the grandparents.

Wonderful Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Can't say enough positive things about this beautiful home. Everything is perfection and we enjoyed our fifth family reunion on Presidents Weekend. The owner made it so easy to arrange our stay and there is something for all ages in the house with games etc. Can't wait until next year to return to this wonderful home!

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

From the first moment that we talked to the owners everything was made so easily. Very kind and considerate people. The cabin itself was super nice. We walked in and it literally took our breath away. It had everything we needed for a weekend stay. Just wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing stay at the Little Lodge!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had such an amazing weekend in Big Bear. We were looking for a nice, clean, cozy cabin to call our own a couple weeks ago for a family get together and we lucked out! This is a family owned property and with our first foot in the door the decor exudes character. You instantly feel at home. I was in frequent contact with the property owner before our trip up till a week past our stay. I've never met her in person but she is personable and welcoming.

The property itself is a large home with a cabin feel. Cozy in part due to its mountain cabin decor. There's so many facets about the cabin that imparts attention to detail from its family pictures on the walls, stocked toiletry baskets, even down to the 'cute' pillows laid out. With small children this cabin was laid out perfectly. There are multiple rooms and plenty of beds to sleep 10. Fortunately there was a master room upstairs where my family slept apart from the other rooms just in case our baby woke up crying on the middle of the night. The other rooms had beds ranging from a fulls to bunk beds for the older children.

Water pressure and temps weren't an issue. Several times we've stayed in Big Bear and either there isn't enough pressure to take a relaxing shower or the water would turn freezing cold but no issues here. The bathrooms were clean and stocked with toiletries and towels with abundance.

We spent most of our time in the kitchen and dining area cooking, eating, and chatting. It was like we were at home because the property had everything we needed as far as cooking equipment. The waffle iron was a nice touch to make fresh waffles for the kids; even the grown ups enjoyed it.

As far as the location, it was about a 10-15 minute drive to the Vons and Starbucks. About a 10 minute drive to the Big Bear Discovery center and the slopes. Our phone's navigation lost connection once in the residential area but we swithched over to our trucks factory navi to find the rest of the way. The area is nice surrounding it because it's tucked away from the main streets and it felt like a cabin in the woods. Neighbors were friendly and snow plows still plowed the street that the house resides on which was helpful due to the large snowstorm that hit us that weekend.

All in all this is one property I'd definitely come back to.
