Castillo del Sol invites you, family, or friends to a quiet retreat by the sea. Close your eyes and imagine relaxing on the entire 1000 square foot open space rooftop deck with a bar and pergola, by yourself or with guests, enjoying the ocean views, watching the waves meet our shore, feeling the wind in your face and the sun's rays warming your soul! Enjoy the Pelicans gliding above the sea and past our rooftop. At night you can enjoy the lighted rooftop deck for entertaining with its own half bath so you don't need to leave the rooftop for bathroom breaks!
Our neighborhood is full of friendly neighbors who welcome visitors to share in the love of their little community. This home sits on a corner lot between residential streets Redick Lane and Pelican Way, with a vacant lot in front of the home which meets Atlantic View drive which allows you a spectacular view of the ocean and peaceful surroundings. The beach is just across the street from Atlantic View drive, which is in front of Castillo del Sol's vacant contiguous lot, where you enter the public beach access walkway to the beach!. If guests have a 4X4 vehicle, the next street down on Matanzas Avenue, offers a pay attendant, and once the entrance fee is paid, you can drive right on to Butler Beach with all beach gear.
This newly renovated Pet-free home offers two completely independent floors and living spaces that allow friends or family to have their privacy when wanted yet close enough to share time together. Each floor offers 2 master suites, 1 king and 1 queen bedroom on each floor. We offer a pull-out double sofa bed on our 2nd floor and a single pull-out sofa on our 1st floor allowing for a total of 11 guests in this home and 8 parking spots! Each unit has its own living room, kitchen (with dishwasher/microwave/toaster/drip coffee maker), washer and dryer, and separate private balcony. The rooftop deck is shared between both units. If the whole house is not occupied and a single floor rental is wanted (2 bedrooms/2 baths) please message us to check on this availability option and pricing. Charcoal Grill is available for sharing on ground level only. Putting green is also available for shared use in the front yard if you have clubs and golf balls!
Local stores are just minutes away. Dollar General is less than a mile, Publix grocery 2.5 miles, restaurants such as Back 40, Violas, Redfrog & McToad's Grub-n-Pub, Paladar Cuban Eatery & Bakery are just down the street plus many more on St. Augustine's Beach A1A Boulevard.
Smoking is not permitted inside units.
Pets are not permitted.
Beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach umbrellas are provided on-site. For Unit 1 (First Floor) these items are located in a storage area behind either 2 of the doors on the back balcony. Beach towels and cooler for Unit 1 are kept in the Master Bedroom closet. For Unit 2 (Second Floor) beach chairs and beach umbrellas are kept inside the washing machine shed on the front porch and beach towels and coolers are kept in the Master bedroom closet.

We came to Florida looking for a winter getaway about 2 years ago when Covid hit. We decided to move here and finish out my daughter's high school years here and purchased some short term rentals. We love our area and the people are wonderful here. Hope you enjoy our "little gem" of an area while visiting:)

Castillo del Sol is located in a quiet residential community with a Dollar General store located less than 1 mile away. We have local restaurants within a few minute's driving distance. If you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, you can pay to drive on the beach only 1 block away from this house! The intercoastal waterway is only a few minutes away also.

Our roof top deck is above our 2nd floor and covers the entire roof. We have outdoor seating so you can enjoy the sun, sit, relax, read or visit with your friends and family. We have a roof top deck 1/2 bathroom so guests can use the facilities on deck while enjoying the outdoor ocean views and breezes.
