About Jill Hanna Gore

Villa Cascada de Flores is owned by 2 sisters, Brisa & Lily Diaz-Hanna. It's been their mother's dream to make sure her daughters had a home in a beautiful coastal town in Mexico. After years of searching, we found Chacala. Brisa and Lily are dual citizens (Mexico & US) and the hope is that their children's children get to enjoy this amazing spot on our planet. It is truly unique in its beauty. We hope our guests love it as much as we do.

Jill Hanna Gore purchased this villa in 2009

Why Jill Hanna Gore chose Nayarit

After years of searching both the Carribean side and the Pacific side for a coastal town to call home in Mexico, we crested the hill June 2008 that brings you to Chacala and saw an amazing panorama. We saw a beautiful bay and beach, embraced by hills densely covered in old growth tropical greenery, framed by mango trees & tall coconut trees. We knew it was where we wanted to be.

What makes this villa unique

We enjoy knowing our neighbors who consist of locals and internationals. It seems that those internationals who have discovered Chacala, recognize readily its specialness and want to contribute to its preservation. Chacala has a number of beach restaurants to choose from, a great coffee shop called Chacmool; a cultural center where town & cultural events occur regularly; and more recently, a number of resident artists are showing & selling their work.

OUTSTANDING TRIP!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a truly wonderful vacation. We own timeshare in PVR, but decided last minute to travel. Our timeshare was booked full so we were unable to stay there. We started looking for vacations in the area. We have traveled north of PVR in the past towards Punta Mita and Sayulita but what gem we found in Chacala. We love getting out of the busy tourist areas! Chacala is a wonderful village with friendly people. The community is so great! We spent our days lounging in front of Chac Mool enjoying the beautiful beach! (Great service and the best food)

We took a few fishing trips from the marina! The fisherman are very friendly and worked hard to make our fishing trips a success! Chac Mool cooked our catch for a small price and made it one of our favorite meals! Can't say enough good things about the town.

Villa Casada de Flores is an adorable unit. Our family of four were very comfortable. It truly was a home away from home. Jill took great care of our reservations. She sent all the information we needed immediately to confirm and plan our vacation! I have never had such great service! The condo itself is so cute! It had comfortable beds with a nice kitchenette and sitting area. We enjoyed our morning coffee overlooking the ocean and enjoying the sounds of nature. It is so beautiful! We are grateful our timeshare was full! Chacala is a treasure and we look forward to visiting again! We would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

We love Chacalla and stayed previously at the Mar de Jade but wanted to cook some meals this time. Jill's villa was beautiful with great views and I loved both of her suites upstairs. Both are filled with amazing art and colour. Ours had a kitchen so we did not need to use the shared main kitchen. The bed is the best in Mexico! It is quiet and the rooftop terrace was especially lovely in the early am for birds and evenings for star gazing. You will hear the Chacalacas!!

Jill is very friendly and helpful and give us some good pointers. We hiked to a waterfall a few km s away and that was beautiful and refreshing. Best to take a 4x4 though! Also went to marina and hired a boat for whale watching and not only did we see mom and calf up close but many others. Then headed to a private beach with caves for a swim. Spectacular day! Best breakfast was at Casa Pacifico hands down. Not to be missed. The beach was always there beckoning and we swam daily. I made many friends with Mexican families as they are so friendly and warm. A great time! Thx to all who helped make our stay special,

Liz and Rob

Beautiful and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We spent three nights here and enjoyed it very much. Jill was very accommodating and sent us lots of information about Chacala and different activities/places to go around the area. We went on a hike to a waterfall which was a great adventure. Her home is well taken care of, and had everything we needed. It is also a close walk to the beach and overall a very peaceful place to be.

Perfecto!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Jill's house was magical. The house itself is gorgeous and Jill was such a pleasure to stay with. We stayed for a week and every day we talked about how we never wanted to leave. The artistic touches, comfortable furniture (the beds!) and the cleanliness of the rooms really made it feel like home, but better. Jill is very connected with the sweet little town of Chacala and has lots of great advice on where to eat and drink. Can't wait to go back!

A wonderful place to stay in Chacala Nayarit.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Cascada de Flores for two weeks in December 2015 and again for two more weeks in January 2016. The house is very comfortable and furnished with lovely Mexican art. The location is excellent elevated above the village with great views of the bay and with lovely trees to the side of the villa. We stayed in the master suite upstairs with a kitchenette that was well stocked with cooking equipment and we also used the barbecue on the roof that was a great place for bird watching and enjoying the ambience of the beautiful bay. Jill the owner was very helpful and entertaining when she arrived in January and all communication with her was timely and informative. There is excellent Internet and I was able to work easily during our stay. We will definitely return to Cascada de Flores.

Wonderful experience! Highly recommend to anyone.

  • 5 of 5

We visited Chacala in order to travel locally and find property to build a winter home. From the first contact, the owner of the Villa Cascada de Flores was warm, welcoming, helpful and a terrific source of information about the area surrounding Chacala. Jill gave us important information that helped us to 1.) enjoy our stay in Chacala and 2.) meet some delightful folks who live in Chacala and form a lively and mutually supportive ex-pat community there. She built her lovely Mexican home in a fitting style for the location, but with attention to the details which support the standard of comfort for the American visitor.

Our stay took place over 4 days in September, 2014 (a time notable for it's heat & humidity) and we were very comfortable in our second floor bedroom. The bedroom had a comfortable bed & sofa. It included a kitchenette (refrigerator, gas burners, sink,) a private bathroom and a long, shaded balcony with gorgeous views of the ocean. The air conditioner was a blessing during this period, but I can imagine that in other seasons the tropical breezes would flow through the room.

There are other, similarly organized suites in the house, so it would be comfortable for a large family or a set of two or three couples. We shared the large downstairs living room & fully-outfitted kitchen and outdoor patio with her friend who was there watching over the property for the summer. The house sitter was, like Jill, very kind and helpful.

There is great internet, phone and TV reception throughout the house. The property manager, Javier, was attentive and the cleaning lady left the place spotless. There is a rooftop patio for all to enjoy, but in the extreme heat of early September, it was not an option for me. The garden is beautifully landscaped, adding to the restful and attractive environment. A washer & dryer on the ground floor was available to us or we were given the option of having the cleaning lady do the laundry. Very convenient.

As to Chacala the town, it is the perfect getaway place for families, adventure seekers, seniors - anyone looking to enjoy beautiful scenery, great food and a relaxing beach-side vacation. I hope you will give Chacala a visit and choose Jill's lovely house in which to enjoy it! You won't be disappointed.
