Comfortable and Quiet
Loved the cabin!!! It was secluded and quiet. We couldn't hear any traffic from the road (dirt) in front. Convenient to Munising - a great place for exploring the UP - shipwreck museum, Pictured Rocks, Keweenaw Peninsula, lots of waterfalls and more! The cabin had great heat and hot water in the shower. The kitchen was very well stocked - sufficient pans and cooking gear for about anything we would want to make. The cabin was very comfortable and homey for two of us and the dog-it would easily accomodate more people. It was also very nicely decorated and pleasant to spend time in. The dirt roads around were a great place for morning dog walks. The owner was very easy to work with and very helpful. Overall a fantastic deal for the price!!!
Twin Lakes Lodge was roomy and very comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed the quiet nights and the DirecTV and WiFi. The kitchen was well equipped and the DVD and game collections were nice to have.
Quaint and cozy
Clean and cozy. Wifi was a big bonus as cell service is limited in that area. Lisa was quick to respond to all our inquiries. The lake was a little walk from the house with access behind another home. The owners of that home were extremely friendly and we didn't see them very often. We enjoyed our stay.
Very Quaint and Quiet Getaway
We stayed for a week. The cottage is in a remote, beautiful forest on a two-track dirt and grass road on the cutest lake with adorable cottages surrounding it. We had our two children (15 and 17) and their two friends. The cottage was very nice and clean and the perfect size for all of us. We had a fire almost every night and were amazed at how beautiful the stars were. We were lucky enough to be there during a meteor shower and happened to catch it. The weather was perfect, the fishing was amazing, the beds were very comfy, the pictured rocks area was gorgeous ....we will definitely be back next year!
The Cook Family
Perfect vacation home get-away
Everything was as advertised. The living space was spacious and comfortable. There was a nice big table: perfect for family meals and large board games. We enjoyed having the wifi and other electronics available. The house was close to plenty of hiking trails and scenic places, as well as the city of Munising itself. We liked the secluded location away from the traffic, but if it's rainy, prepare to drive through mud puddles to get there. Suggest bringing your own drinking water. The tap water is drinkable, but it's well water.
The comforts of home in a gorgeous cabin! Pictures don't do it justice....the inside was absolutely gorgeous....the feeling was so homey. Everything was stocked very well....I can't think of anything else we would have needed to bring. It was very clean and everything was in great working condition! Lisa was great to work with! It was a little too chilly to swim but my husband and daughter fished in the boat every morning. During the day we did excursions....such as Glass Bottom Shipwreck Tours, Pictured Rocks Boat Tour, Oswald's Bear Ranch, 2 Escape Rooms in Marquette, and hiking. At night we played family games....Location was great!
Thank you for the review! We really appreciate it and hope you and your family will be back next year.
