The ground floor level has a large open office with a wrap-around work station and printer provided; a family area with sectional couch and TV; queen & double bedrooms, artistically tiled bathroom with shower and a laundry room with new washer & dryer.
Throughout, you will be surrounded by beautiful paintings and original art work with unique area carpets on beautiful hardwood floors.
The recently renovated bright, south facing kitchen is gourmet equipped and boasts a gas stove with a cozy eating area which opens onto a large deck overlooking an evergreen and private backyard.
A 10 minute walk to the Village of West 10th Avenue with many unique neighborhood shops, a Safeway, casual & gourmet restaurants, coffee shops, a wine merchant and a public library. We are a 5 minute walk to public transit or drive to the heart of downtown in just 20 minutes. Only 3 blocks away is a clean and bright public pool and open, well equipped gym. There are many parks and hiking / biking trails close by in our famous Pacific Spirit Park, or stroll the local beaches which are a 15 minute walk away. Also, we are just 10 minutes to the University of British Columbia and are close to many reputable public and private schools.

About Trish and/or John
Hello: We are a semi-retired professional couple in our mid 60's from Vancouver, Canada. Last year we spent 3 months in Guatemala (studying Spanish and working as volunteers) and loved it! It is our intention to continue our spanish studies with the goal of being able to communicate so we can effectively join a Guatemalan volunteer organization. This year we have extended our time away to 4 months and, when home, we love to spend time in our cabin on a local gulf island.

What makes this House unique
Very peaceful and quiet with loads of charm exuding good energy. Although "not new", we have gone to great lengths to maintain our home's original elegance and heritage. It is in excellent condition with many recent renovations and additions and well cared for grounds and garden.

A home away from home
We really enjoyed our stay in Vancouver especially with being able to stay in this home. It comes complete with everything we would ever need. The kitchen was large and sunny complete with every pot and pan we needed along with some interesting cookbooks. The deck was a wonderful place to dine or just use your computer surrounded by lovely flowers and trees. We would have enjoyed a second t.v. in the lower level but understand this is coming. A printer would also have been handy. We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely home and hope that we can come that way again. It truly is a lovely home.

Could not have been better.
The home is in a wonderful older established neighborhood. It is delightful in every way. The kitchen is well stocked and has wonderful pots and pans. The location is very quiet and convenient to downtown, local merchants, the beach and UBC and the fabulous gardens and museums there. The owners are very gracious and responsive. They are also so well organized. It made everything so easy.
Thank you Glenna & Bob, not only for your glowing words, but for being such gracious and respectful guests. Thanks too for caring for our home as you would your own and for leaving it so tidy and clean. Come back again!!!
We have a group of six people living in this wonderful house. This is a very clean and well maintained house. The owners are very nice and always check with us to see if we need any help.
The house is very close for everything... supermarket, restaurants , coffee shops and even library. It's ust a walking distance.
We would highly recommend this house to friends and relatives if they come to visit Vancouver. We really had a wonderful time in this house.

They showed the greatest of respect for our home and our neighbors.

Three of us (my husband, sister and I) stayed in this lovely home for the month of September. The house was beautifully maintained, incredibly well organized and very comfortable. It is in easy walking distance to many shops and public transit. The owners had left useful information regarding amenities/attractions in Vancouver and surrounding area.
We would easily recommend this property to friends or relatives. Our stay was wonderful!
Marion, Ken and Louise were superlative tenants and we welcome them back anytime. Our house was treated with obvious care and respect and we are so happy they enjoyed their stay. It is people like them that makes renting so enjoyable and worry-free.
Our family of four (children aged 17 & 21) spent the month of July 2013 here, and had a great experience. Beautiful and peaceful residential area. Very clean and well-maintained property with helpful owners. Easy walking distance (10 minutes) to cafe's, bakeries and other shops in West Point Grey area on 10th avenue. Slightly longer walk to the West Broadway commercial area, and a 20-25 minute walk to Jericho Beach. Cycling is much quicker. Bus stop is three blocks away, with buses going directly downtown.
We would definitely recommend the property to friends and family.

An experience to be repeated!
This was a perfect solution for our holiday home in Vancouver, as we were accompanied by our 2 grown up children who had lots of room and privacy in the well-furnished basement. The couple who own the place are adorable, and were very accommodating. We'd love to come back and stay here, as it was such a lovely experience...to be repeated!

Utilities Included are: Phone, Cable TV, Wireless Internet Electricity & Gas (depending on usage) - Winter: approx. $125 / Summer: approx. $75 Mid month cleaning strongly recommended - cost of $125 to be paid by tenant Deposit of $2000.00 refundable 90 days before booking. Balance of first month paid 30 days before occupancy is non refundable.
