I couldn’t be happier with our stay. The cabin was clean and the directions were very accurate and helpful. The property itself was gorgeous leading in and out of the development. The accommodations were cozy and homie and actually we chose to just stay at the cabin more than even venturing out. We definitely would do this again. The host was more than gracious for everything that they provided and all of the directions, including the map to get to the cabin. It was a fantastic stay.

Many times, we choose to stay in the cabin too.....Its too nice to leave! Come again and thank you for your stay!
We loved our stay at Destiny! Beautiful home and peaceful setting. Felt secluded, but still close to Deadwood. We really appreciate hosts who allow our pup to enjoy their home, as well. Thanks for a great long weekend - we didn’t want to leave!
The pictures don’t do this wonderful place justice. We were looking for a getaway “diamond in the rough” and we got it! Everything and more this place provides. Very clean, working with the host was so easy, and the amenities were great. The cabin was cozy, yet roomy. We will definitely look to stay again. It is truly a magical place. Thank you so much.

Awesome and thank you for your stay. The property takes on a different personality with each season. All are magical.
If you’re looking for the perfect Black Hills getaway, this creekside cabin in Deadwood is it. From the moment you walk in, the beautiful wood accents and thoughtful little touches make it feel warm, cozy, and truly special.Everything was spotless—seriously one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed—and check-in couldn’t have been easier. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to fully relax after a day exploring. But the real highlight? The porch. Solid wood, classic rocking chairs, and the peaceful sound of the creek flowing nearby. Sitting out there in the morning with a cup of coffee was pure magic. The location is also a huge plus—just minutes from Main Street in Deadwood, so you’re close to great shops, restaurants, and a little gambling fun, while still feeling tucked away in nature. We absolutely loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat.
This home is absolutely beautiful. No detail of the home design was overlooked. The views are stunning. This home is secluded, so no neighbors, just mountain air, a running creek, and wildlife. It was the cleanest home we have ever rented. We go to the hills twice a year and always stay at vacation rentals. This home is now our favorite and will be our go to. The gated deck was great for our 2 dogs to enjoy. I could go on and on about how wonderful this home and location is but you have to experience for yourself. The communication with the host is also top notch.

This place does not disappoint! Gorgeous house and property. My kids loved exploring the creek. It has everything you need. And communication with the host is super quick and easy! We will definitely be staying here again!
Great place in the hills! Host was very good, he gave directions and made sure we knew that we might loose cell service when we turned of hiway. Place was excellent had written instructions to everything wr might need. Kitchen was well stocked with all our cooking needs. Also had a few things, like spices& coffee that we could use. Saved us a trip into town. Would definitely return to this place!
We had so much fun in the Black Hills celebrating our wedding. Dan’s cabin was the perfect place to relax. It was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The entire property is beautiful and well taken care of. Thank you!

Beautiful property! Everything was just as expected. The photos don’t even do this justice. We loved having coffee & fires on the porch while listening to the creek. This was probably the cleanest VRBO I have stayed in. Highly recommend!
Beautiful cabin up in the hills. A fantastic place to unwind and a great base to explore the region. Attention to detail is fantastic and the cabin is full of local touches. Loved our stay.

Thank you for your stay! Come again and know that the Black Hills are seasonal! Our harsh winters are loved by hunters, skiers, snowmobilers and outdoors-people while the warmer months are a beautiful haven for hikers, history buffs and site see-ers. Do come again and experience all the various seasons. It can and will snow as late as June 15th and as early as September 15th! (especially at elevation)
We loved everything about our stay! Beautiful cabin, stunning views, babbling creek, rock formations, firepit, fireplace, lovely deck, list goes on and on....

Accomodations were just what we expected and hoped for. Location is beautiful with plenty of space to explore and the cabin itself is really lovely. Just the perfect place to stay if you are looking to get away and enjoy SD in comfort. 10/10 recommend!

Why they chose this property
This property epitomizes the beauty of the Black Hills and is steeped in history and wildlife. The home was positioned next to the creek and at an elevation to ensure perpetually beautiful views. Sitting in a gulch, it is protected from wind, but at that elevation it can get some serious snow. I have seen photos and heard stories from the people before me of 60" overnight snow storms. In the DeadWood mining district the home is just around the corner from the Two Bit assey office and Two Bit hotel. There were originally several gold claims on the property. If you walk up the creekbed you will see where the stream was diverted for panning and shaker operations. You can see the "Drift Cut" Gold mine entrance that was once the B&M Loade Claim or the Elgin Loade Claim. It is only about 100-125 feet from the driveway edge. The wooden bear marks the way. The faux miners shed is clad in cynide lids found in the immediate area you will see this as soon as you cross the bridge to get to the house. Wildlife abounds! deer, elk, coyote, skunk, marmot, bobcat and mountain lion have been seen first hand on the property. Big horn sheep can be found only a few miles away on 14A (they literlaly hang out at the big horn sheep sign). The coolest mountain goats live in Spearfish Canyon where you will also see big birds of prey as well. The mountain goats have the white beards, yeah that kind of goat. You are in the northern hills where the terain and weather are more rugged and yet a close enough drive to Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, Sylvan lake and much much more. The 1880 train is not far and well worthwhile as is the Adams Museum, Adams House, gaming and dining in Deadwood. The Rodeo comes to town and music and entertainment is on the agenda almost constantly. In Lead, one town over there is a mining museaum and the Famous Home Stake Gold Mine with its own story and really cool history. Friendship tower is a cool hike that is only a few miles away.
What makes this property unique
A real gold mine is on the property and is only 100-125 feet away from the driveway. It is old and partially collapsed so would not recommend entering it, but to climb up to it and see it up close is always very cool. The Two bit Creek was named Two Bit because every gold pan yielded 2 bits. The creek runs directly thru the center of the property. after the snow melt and spring rains it can be a torrent, by August it slows down dramatically. It is a year round thing as the fish are there every year!
