We absolutely loved our stay in this charming condo! It was perfect for the two of us—spotlessly clean, cozy, and conveniently located close to both the ski slopes and town. Everything we needed for a wonderful stay was right there. We enjoyed it so much that we’re already considering coming back for several weeks next year. Highly recommend!

Holiday Hideaway doesn't disappoint

This property is beautifully updated and has all the comforts necessary for a great vacation. The bed was very comfortable as was the den for evening rest while watching tv. Loved the views off the balcony too. Great location to Beech Ski Mountain and easy in and out parking as well.

Mountain bike getaway

We came up for the weekend to bike at Beech, couldn’t ask for a more convenient location and loved that it was pet friendly! Bed was very comfortable, and we really appreciated the coffee pods and breakfast bars. Nice private back patio with view of the mountain. Would definitely stay again.

Cozy for a quick stay

We needed a quick place to stay for a wedding and brought our small dog. The place was very cozy and up to date inside. The coffee shop right next door was wonderful as well. We also saw some bears one night around in the parking lot, but seemed skittish. Overall, nice little ski hideaway tucked in the mountains!

Cute and Cozy

This place is a little diamond in the rough. The inside is beautiful and just what we needed for our trip to Land of Oz. FYI for anyone that plans your Oz trip and stays here, you just walk across the street and across the lot. This was perfect. If it is ski season, same thing just a few steps away. I will for sure be back next season!

Unit Needs Attention

No HVAC in unit. They had obsoleting fans going but it was humid and there was no cross ventilation or breeze. The unit backs up to a busy street so keeping the doors open you had absolutely no peace and quiet with the constant trucks and cars driving by all day and night. The patio carpet was soaked and completely mildewed so sitting outside was not an option as I was disgusted to walk on. Building is old and wood outside is all rotten and molded. There's also a lot of tripping hazards to get to the unit. MBR TV was not working, and owner didn't send someone out to fix or replace. Owner was quick to respond except when I asked for a break in price due to no air conditioning, he went silent on me and VRBO customer service. Lists washer but washer is not in unit. it's down the street out of the complex. MB sink clogged and you had to wait for it to drain in order to rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth.

Response from VrboOwner on Aug 9, 2024
We are sorry that Marianne had a poor experience in our condo, the first time we have encountered unhappy guests in our 2+ years of renting out the unit. Our listing does not say that there is air conditioning, so no refund can be offered for Marianne's lack of attention when reviewing our listing. VRBO contacted us about Marianne's inquiry for a partial refund and agreed with us, thus no refund was given. I did not go silent on VRBO. It is very uncommon to have air conditioning on Beech Mountain as summer temperatures rarely exceed 75 degrees and nights are normally in the upper 50s. I also never went silent on corresponding with Marianne, I answered every message she sent, even explaining to her how to throw her trash out on check out day. I would not rent to Marianne again. My guess is that this is a common experience in dealing with her when she rents other places to try and save money on an already well priced stay.
