Great stay in Big Bear

Overall the property was great! Perfect distance to snow summit, bear mountain and grocery stores. We had two families with two adults and two teens in each family. We had plenty of space for everyone to stretch outto stretch

Getaway from home

Had the most amazing view on the second floor with all the snow that fell. Huge porch that would be great for the summer. Very cozy and roomy.

Skication

Enjoyed house. Nice flow and layout of rooms and stocked with all the dishes needed for our group. Short 5-10 minute drive to Big Bear Mountain. We had snow during our stay and snow shovel worked out after roads plowed to get out.

The property was very well suited for hosting our 8-member family and a milestone birthday party. Plenty of room for all and the bedrooms were very cozy. The large open main room had a huge table that allowed us to gather together for card games and late night visiting. The host should be more specific about what the kitchen has in the way of staples and utensils. The travelers should know to come well prepared with everything they may need for meal prep. Although, there are 2 very modern grocery stores within a 5 minute drive.

So glad the home was such a great fit for hosting your family and celebrating that milestone birthday — happy belated to whoever was celebrating! The big open main room with the large table sounds perfect for those late-night card games and visits. Really appreciate the helpful feedback on the kitchen staples too — we'll be sure to pass that along so future guests have a clearer picture. We'd love to welcome you all back anytime!

Great house with the perfect layout for our family of 8! We loved hanging out on the deck drinking our morning coffee and BBQ in the evening. Great location, in a quiet neighborhood. We would stay again!

A layout that works for eight people is no small thing, so we're glad this home fit your family so well. Morning coffee and evening BBQs on the deck sound like the perfect rhythm for a trip. It's great to hear the quiet neighborhood added to the experience too. You're always welcome back anytime.

We were a little disappointed in the property. It wasn't awful, but you could tell that this is just another rental from a big commercial company that is trying to spend the least amount possible on upkeep. The yard was in very bad shape. The pine needles and weeds were inches deep. There were dog poop bags below the porch, and the trash can on the patio was full of garbage. Someone had locked a dog in the downstairs bathroom, and the door was all clawed up. Same thing in the living room. There is a corner near the fireplace that looked like a dog had tried to dig through the floor boards. One of the sinks in the upstairs bathroom was 100% clogged. We had to clean the clog in order to use it. The biggest disappointment was the main bedroom. There are no curtains on the windows, and they face an obnoxious house that has flood lights on all night. The lights were so bright that they cast shadows in the room. The owner of that house also plays his music loudly all day and pretty late into the evening, so we couldn't leave the windows open and enjoy the weather unless we wanted to listen to his music. There was definitely no sleeping in past 5am because the room is so bright. Some curtains, minor repairs, and a little more money on keeping things nicer would make a huge difference.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us; this is exactly the feedback that improves a home. Since your stay, the yard and outdoor areas have received a full cleanup, the interior repairs you noted have been completed, and the sink has been serviced. Window coverings for the main bedroom are being addressed as well, so the room rests as dark and quiet as it should. We appreciate you taking the time, and we hope to host you again on a future visit.

This cabin was perfect for our girls trip! We each had comfortable, clean, queen or king size beds. The common areas were clean and comfortable. The updated kitchen was spacious and nice. Overall, the essentials were available. We would suggest some ziploc baggies or Saran Wrap and possibly a larger coffee pot(keurig was available as well). Numerous fans were helpful to cooling off the upstairs level during the day and by the end of the day, the temps were perfect. As mentioned in other reviews, the carpets could use a replacement due to stains but it didn’t feel unclean. The location was convenient to the village, the lake, and anything we needed. Thank you!
