SeaSalt: Oceanview condo with pool!
Summary:
SeaSalt is a charming beachfront home overlooking the Gulf of Mexico on beautiful Little Gasparilla Island (accessible only by boat; you cannot drive to the island). Miles of private beach, pool (one of few on the island), free mainland parking and free ferry to the mainland make this one of the most trouble free ways to experience a true island vacation.
The Space:
Our SeaSalt condo is located at Hideaway Bay Beach Club on Little Gasparilla Island, a seven mile, white sand, bridgeless barrier island. Guests park their vehicle in a secured lot and board the free condo ferry for a five minute ride to our island retreat. This piece of paradise provides a time for families and friends to reconnect as they enjoy the seclusion of this island getaway.
The condo association has boat slips and a dock for fishing. An inground pool and community barbecue grill and smoker are also located there. The screened lanai provides a view of the gulf over the boardwalk and sea oats. And the ocean waves are just a quick walk away.
This furnished condo features 'beachy' decor, comfortable bedding, two full baths, washer and dryer, and a well-furnished, full-sized kitchen. The unit sleeps six: one king master bed and two queen beds in the upstairs loft. Internet (through the Hideaway HOA) and satellite tv are provided. Various beach toys, chairs, umbrella, cart, and a charcoal grill are located in the storage garage below our unit. Kayaks can be rented on the mainland. Because there are no stores on the island, guests will need to bring in groceries. However, wonderful restaurants and activities are within a short driving distance with a quick ferry ride back over the bay to the mainland.
Enjoy time exploring the island by following the white sand paths. Various local landmarks include the island chapel, local gift shop, and Don Pedro Island State Park. With no roads or traffic, this very special island surrounds you with incredible nature, the way Florida used to be. Amazing shells, sand dollars, and shark teeth bring new surprises as you stroll on the beach. Enjoy morning coffee watching the huge variety of birds, dolphins and manatees swim by or relax with evening sunsets filled with glorious colors over the ocean waves.
GOLF CART: several vendors can be contacted to obtain a rental golf cart.
POLICY: Renters are not allowed to host overnight guests or day visitors. All guests must be listed on the initial VRBO booking request. This is a firm policy.
WiFi - complimentary. Speeds adequate for web-browsing, emails, social media, but not games or streaming.
Pet Policy - No pets permitted.
Minimum Renter Age - 25
Damage Protection - The $59 charge listed as a "management fee" on your quote covers your purchase of $2500 of “all risk” damage protection coverage on your rental property. This protection is purchased in lieu of a cash damage deposit. Coverage details are spelled out in your contract.
Complimentary water ferry - dock slips are also available on first come, first serve basis (21.5 ft max)

Parking - complimentary on the mainland. You can NOT drive to the island. We must have your vehicle information in advance to pre-register you with the mainland parking.
Holiday surcharges- applied for reservations for Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day,Thanksgiving, and Christmas/New Years timeframes. PLEASE NOTE THAT MINIMUM NIGHTLY STAYS MAY BE INCREASED FOR THESE DATES AS WELL.

NOTE: Hideaway Bay community is not a resort. Each condo is independently owned. Please contact your Guest Services Manager with questions and concerns. Hideaway staff should only be contacted for emergency situations.
Getting Around:
There is mainland parking where you leave your vehicle during your stay. The free ferry runs daily (see ferry schedule) and is a convenient way to get back to the mainland. If you arrive very late, there is also a water taxi option but it must be booked in advance and can be quite expensive after normal hours.
Other Things to Note:
Please note that Hideaway Bay does not allow renters to bring pets. Owner pets are permitted, so if you see other pets they belong to owners. This is HOA policy.
