Needs major TLC
This property has such wonderful potential. However, the old baseboard heat was practically useless and the 2 small electric heaters provided on each level kept tripping the breakers so while we were there we had to constantly restart the breakers to keep heat going but when we would leave and return the house would be freezing again. We stayed in all our snow gear the entire time we were at the home. It was too cold to do anything besides sit in the living room around the one small heater which was a problem for 8 people. Needless to say we contacted management several times and kept getting a "someone will contact you regarding your issues" but no one ever contacted us. We left after only 2 days and this was our Christmas present to our family so it was a definite bummer. If this owner would install an updated HVAC system we would def go back again. The house is spacious and located in a great area of Beech Mtn but it's just not equipped with practical amenities to endure the weather temps we encountered. And, management needs to do better. They did issue a 1 night refund however, I requested our missed 2 nights to be refunded since we only stayed 2 out of 4 nights and barely used the property. 10 days after our check out I finally spoke to a young lady who was super nice and apologetic. But no one should have to chase down management for 10 days with these type of concerns. Update house and respond better please.
