The house was adorable! Beds very very comfy. If your looking for a VRBO and a place to stay in Sanford this is a great place. Only 3 blocks to a great time! Would definitely rent this house again.
This property had everything we needed for our stay in Sanford. The home is well-decorated, with comfortable beds and furnishings, nice touches like chocolates and coffee (thank you!!!), and personal messages from the host/owner. The location was ideal for our vacation. We were back and forth to games at the nearby sports complex and had limited time to enjoy the area. So, the convenient location allowed us to try out the local restaurants, walk around around the lake, and go kayaking at Rock Springs. Sanford is such a cute, walkable town and the commercial district is easily accessible from this property. We really had no complaints and the only suggestion I'd have for future upgrades would be to add some shelving or small dressers in the bedroom closets for clothes storage. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!
To begin with, hospitality was shown when we entered the house and noticed there were treats, coffee, water, etc. left for the guests. The house was very clean, comfortable and inviting, (the inside of the refrigerator could have used a little wiping), other than that, everything was exceptional. Whatever you need is centrally located and close to everything. We were there for the All Stars Baseball Tournament and is was only a 7 to 10 minutes drive to the Boombah Baseball Sports Complex. Either direction you take, there are plenty of places to eat and shop, the choice is yours. You will be able to see there is a lot of thought put into the decorating and the theme of the house, as everything flowed throughout. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend anyone else do the same.
A bit disappointed. Not enough amenities, towels looked more like throw rugs, and stained. I had to shop and buy towels. No off street parking, door unlocked upon arrival, difficulty locking door, kitchen sink loose and water squirted all over. I feel the owner could improve things quite a bit with minimal effort.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Sanford. The home was well designed/set up for an older home. The design details did not go unnoticed.
For a narrow and long home It had plenty of space for us to sit and hang out inside and out. We loved the old downtown area that was within walking distance! So many great restaurants, shops and hang outs. The Jailhouse was our fave dinner restaurant and Palate Coffee was our fave morning stop.
The only thing to note is the bathrooms were small, but we liked that there was a half bath next to the full bath. It made getting ready with 5 people more manageable. Not to mention there were a bunch of cute gold mirrors though out we could use to get ready with too.
The hosts were super sweet and easy to communicate with. We had zero issues on our trip and would highly recommend this home for vacation rentals.
very clean, fully stocked, wonderful mattress and sheets so slept very good. This home had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Owner was very easy to contact (we just wanted to know what the wonderful smell was in home) home is surrounded by beautiful moss covered old trees.

About the host
Hosted by Claudia Mundlos
Hi there, we are Jose and Claudia and we look forward to hosting you and your family! We moved to Sanford in 2004 and fell in love with the historic district right away! We have two boys who love playing soccer, horseback riding - and being silly ;) Jose and I love to support local so you will often find us out and about! We love our little town of Sanford with all its unique businesses, cultural offerings, and popular events. One of our favorite events is Sanford Porchfest in February. We just finished building a home just a few blocks away from this one, so we know this neighborhood inside out! We feel at home here, even though both, Jose and I moved here from far away: Germany (Claudia) and Colombia (Jose). We enjoy traveling so we understand how important it is for guests to find a place that will make them feel at home. That's what we attempted when creating this very space! We selected only the best quality (mattresses, linens, furniture, etc.) and created various cozy areas where you can enjoy spending time with each other, or just relax and soak in the surroundings!
Why they chose this property
This home will make you feel at home from the very first moment! We tried to create the most peaceful atmosphere possible. The home get a lot of natural light and there are different spaces where you can enjoy views of the adjacent lot with its majestic oak tree and historic St. James Church. We selected only high quality items, including the mattresses, bedding/linens and furniture. Many of the pieces in this home are antique and were sourced during many months to create just the perfect mix of modern and vintage. We provide a 65 inch Smart TV (Netflix, Hulu) and high speed Internet, but also old time board games. Our backyard is fenced for more privacy and offers outdoor dining furniture.
What makes this property unique
This home is located in an up and coming historic neighborhood with homes that range from historic to mid century to brand new, all surrounded by beautiful majestic trees and lots of churches (Georgetown is known for its churches). From here you are only a few walking minutes away from Historic Downtown Sanford with all its bars, breweries, restaurants and shops as well as the Sanford Marina and Riverwalk. There is so much to explore here and you can do it all right from your doorstep!
