About Melinda Ferraro
We live in Madison Wisconsin but try to get to Rincon as much as possible. Friends have come to stay and bought property here. Come discover the magic.
Melinda Ferraro purchased this Villa in 2002
Why Melinda Ferraro chose Puntas
We've always dreamed of living on the ocean. In 2002 we stayed at a friend's condo on another Rincon beach for spring break. We walked by our property on this beach that was just constructed and fell in love with it. There were no high rise hotels or condo's on the beach and there were plenty of great restaurants and things to do in the area. Our daughters love the beach and it attracts all ages. Lots to do for young adults and parents. The people here are very friendly. Puerto Rico is exotic but is a territory of the US so no passport is required, money is the same and the real estate laws are very similar. I'm a realtor and can work well from my Puerto Rico 'home office' because we are well connected with cell phone reception and internet service.
What makes this Villa unique
You can walk to several great restaurants and bars so it's nice to have that convenience. The views are exceptional, I think the best in Rincon, so we hate to leave the place once we get there. We love to dine on the roof top terrace and watch the moon & stars. We're on a peninsula on the farthest western point of Puerto Rico so you have interesting panoramic views. We look out on the Aguadilla peninsula in the distance. The sunsets are amazing! We love to walk the beach, some of it stretches along DNR owned property with no homes, and find interesting sea glass and shells. Most of all we love to relax and just take in the sun and watch the waves stack up and roll in.

Great place to stay with the best beach view ever
Just spent our vacation at this wonderful villa in Sandy Beach Rincon. This was the best decision we ever made to stay here, the view from the balcony in the morning is just breathtaking. Much to do around here too, horseback riding, snorkeling and just overall sightseeing are some of the great things to do here at some of the best beaches in the island.
Great property on the best beach in Rincon, Puerto Rico is back at full strength!
We have been to Puerto Rico for our winter vacation for each of the last 12 years. This year we were hesitant to go in our usual January timeframe thinking why be an additional burden on the infrastructure. Puerto Rico is definitely back at full strength and we were welcomed as usual. The Puerto Rican culture of warmth, family and fun was not taken down by Maria.
Now about Paradise at Sandy Beach. Wow, how many times can you say the property is better than what can be captured in photos. The style and furnishings are nicely done and it is very comfortable. All of the amenities are there. We usually look for a roof top, and there is one of course, but when you are steps from the beach we didn't use it as much as usual.
Melinda and the local support staff are great to deal with. Erica was our main contact and she would respond in short time and checked in on arrival to make sure everything was ok. I recommend this location and will definitely be back.
Yes! Puerto Rico is back and is rolling out the red carpet to welcome visitors. I'm so happy you were focusing on the beauty around you. It's amazing and I'll work on doing a better job to capture it on photos. Please hurry back!
A little piece of paradise in Rincon awaits here
First of all highly appreciative of Melinda, and Ryan and Erica for being so attentive and accommodating both prior to booking and throughout our stay.
They went out of their way to provide excellent care for us as their guests.
The third floor, where we stayed, was very comfortable, serene, and had amazing views that will live in my mind forever.
You can hear the sound of the ocean throughout the apartment.
There is a surf rental / instructor setup beside the house.
Sandy beach has so many great places to eat within a short, short walking distance including Tamboo (ceviche and passion fruit margarita), Casa verde (amazing burgers! Be sure to try the Cali burger with a jalepeno margarita), Pools (absolutely incredible and fresh sushi), and the smoothie shack that you can’t miss past Tamboo. There is also little hidden gift shop, Mangos, directly across from the house to buy last minute souvenirs.
Rincon is a very unique surfer town with the most friendly people & the most amazing cuisine (Roots-cheese balls with guava sauce, tuna tartare / jacks shack-fish tacos/el Bohío (Acacia bowl & rum punch & one of a kind smoothies)
We loved Rincon and cannot wait to visit again -so envious of anyone who lives here. What a great town that has marked our lives with such wonderful memories!
This is the true essence of Rincon. It's a magical spot, for sure! When I recently visited I found the food and restaurant experiences better than I can ever remember. Don't want to be too corny by there was a special energy in the air that Rincon and Puerto Rico are going to be better after the hurricanes. Tourism is once again vibrant and everyone is grateful!
Loved Sandy Beach! Rincon was fantastic. Great little shops and restaurants. One of our favorite restaurants was three doors away. Views were spectacular from this third floor condo. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable accommodations. Highly recommend. Its definitely worth a little extra to be right on the beach. Owner's and property managers were top notch. Great vacation!
I'm so glad the restaurants and shops have rebounded so well since the hurricane. S Being right on the beach is a luxury that is worth it and can make lasting memories!
Excellent apartment -- exceeded expectations
Excellent beachfront apartment. Apartment occupies all the top (3rd floor) of building with great view of the ocean about 100' away. Clean, well equipped, A/Cs on all 3 bedrooms, guaranteed parking (we rented a car) in the building. Walking distance to a few mini-markets and restaurants, short 5-10 minute drive from many others. Many beach towels (in addition to bath towels and linens) provided. Can rent boards next door. Will strongly reconsider for a future stay.
Always our goal to exceed expectations!
Right on the beach
This unit is right on the beach, you can't get any closer. It also provides private/gated parking.
The wifi and ACs were very welcome and the fans in the bathrooms are pure genius in PR.
Kitchen, Linens and Washer and Dryer are all well stocked - all you need to do is supply your own food or visit some of the restaurants within walking distance.
I have to be honest... saw the 3 star review and was worried something put a damper on the vacation that we could have managed better. But glad to see there were all positive comments about the property, location and the amenities. To all future guests: if anything is not up to par please let us know and we will address it.
Sea glass hunting, Whale watching, surf lessons, yoga, snorkeling at Steps Beach, Sailing tours, zip lining
