Great cabin in a great location, just mins from Lassen NP. The cabin was well equipped with a well stocked kitchen, comfortable living room, beds were comfy and the bathroom was good (water pressure was great)! We were able to use the outside a couple of nights with the gas fireplace.

Wonderful, rustic cabin just 10 minutes west of Lassen Volcanic National Park’s northwest entrance. Comfortable place for family to sleep, eat, and hang out after a day adventuring in the park. And we loved the covered outdoor porch for morning coffee.

Immaculate and well-appointed

This was perhaps the cleanest vacation rental I've ever stayed in. The cabin was just as advertised and we really enjoyed all the little touches, from the well-stocked spice cabinet, to the outdoor mini game area. Very secluded feeling as well, although a group of neighbor dogs did come to say hi to me while I was enjoying my morning coffee. Would absolutely stay again if in the area.

The cabin is beautiful and Erica is the most helpful and responsive host I've encountered. The custom kitchen stocked with all of the necessities made preparing meals easy. We saw deer and wild turkey every day which only added to the fabulous ambiance. There are a few neighbor cabins that are closer than we anticipated from the photos and occasionally reminded us of their presence.

Perfect stay! The host is great, very responsive. She really nailed the Cozy Cabin vibe with the ambience of this little gem. Perfect spot for families—it’s cozy as hell but not cramped. Nice clean bathrooms, comfy beds. Well stocked with firewood for the wood burning stove. Some great board games and some outdoor games a ping pong table in the garage. I appreciate a rental that is well equipped in the kitchen and this place is a great example of that. Yes, the new standard coffee brewing method of rentals the K-cup machine is there for those that take it that way—but for those of us that prefer less one time plastic usage in getting our fix she also provides a drip coffee machine AND a pour over cone! Plenty filters stocked for either option, and even a coffee grinder!! That is hospitality for coffee lovers. The kitchen (which is beautiful btw) also has plenty of pots and pans and measuring spoons, mixing bowls etc. Everything you need and is very clean and organized. The location is super convenient to Lassen Volcanic Park. There’s also a really great cave to explore not far up the highway, Subway Lava Tubes.

Rustic Clean Cabin

Overall the cabin was clean and had all the necessary supplies. We thought the cabin was dark and we had to move the chair that was blocking the heater. The neighborhood was quiet and close to Lassen Volcano NP.

This cabin was perfect for our visit to Lassen. Conveniently located just outside the park, the interior and space were amazing. We were concerned about wildfires just before our visit, but we were able to stay in contact with the host who was very responsive and reassuring. A great visit!

About the host

Host profile image
Hi! I’m a Redding, California native who has a deep love for this beautiful area and everything it offers. I’ve spent my life knowing and appreciating Northern California’s outdoor beauty, small-town charm, and sense of community. Being close to nature, enjoying time with my family, and helping others are things I truly value.

I love hosting because it gives me the opportunity to share this special place with people from all over. Whether guests are here to explore Lassen Volcanic National Park, enjoy hiking and outdoor adventures, or simply slow down and relax in a peaceful mountain setting, I enjoy knowing I’ve provided a comfortable, welcoming home base for their stay.

I take pride in being a thoughtful, attentive host and strive to make every guest feel at home. From offering local tips to making sure the cabin is well cared for and ready for your arrival, my goal is for you to have a stress-free and memorable experience. Hosting isn’t just about providing a place to stay—it’s about helping guests create meaningful memories while discovering the natural beauty of the area.

I look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy this peaceful mountain retreat as much as my family and I do.

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by towering pine trees, making it the perfect place to slow down and enjoy nature. The air is crisp, the nights are dark and star-filled, and the only sounds you’ll hear are the wind through the trees and nearby Bailey Creek. It’s the kind of setting where mornings feel unhurried and evenings invite you to relax by the fire.

What I enjoy most about this area is the sense of calm and space. You’re close enough to local conveniences, yet far enough away to truly feel tucked into the forest. It’s an ideal spot for morning walks, sipping coffee on the deck, and unplugging from the busyness of everyday life.

The location is also perfect for exploring the outdoors. Lassen Volcanic National Park is just a short drive away, offering incredible hiking, scenic views, and wildlife. Whether you’re here for adventure or quiet time, this neighborhood gives you the best of both worlds—natural beauty, privacy, and easy access to everything that makes the area special.

What makes this property unique

What makes this property stand out is the rare combination of privacy, comfort, and location. Set on a full acre and surrounded by towering pine trees, the cabin offers a peaceful, secluded feel while still being just 9 miles from Lassen Volcanic National Park. Guests get the best of both worlds—true forest immersion without feeling remote or inconvenient.

The cabin itself is thoughtfully laid out to be both cozy and functional, making it ideal for families, couples, and small groups. With multiple bedrooms on different levels, spacious outdoor areas, and a large deck perfect for relaxing or entertaining, there’s room for everyone to unwind. The fire pit, BBQ, and nearby creek create an authentic mountain experience that many properties simply can’t offer.

Modern touches also set this home apart. Reliable Starlink internet, inside laundry, and EV charging make it easy to enjoy nature without giving up everyday conveniences. Whether guests are exploring the park, working remotely, or just enjoying quiet mornings and star-filled nights, this property is designed to feel comfortable, welcoming, and effortless.

Above all, this cabin is more than just a place to stay—it’s a place to slow down, reconnect, and truly enjoy the beauty of the area. That balance of nature, comfort, and thoughtful hosting is what makes it stand out from the rest.
