TrÀdhuset vid Rio Hondo Valley Alpacas-ingen stÀdavgift

Ta dig tillbaka i tiden nÀr livet var mycket enklare. Kom och bo pÄ en riktig bondgÄrd. TrÀdhuset ligger pÄ en 13. 5 hektar stor egendom i den vackra Valdez-dalen, bara 6 km norr om Taos.

TrÀdhuset Àr en saga stuga, handbyggd av Àgaren, som Àr en Taos konstnÀr och metall skulptör och möblerade med handgjorda möbler och antikviteter. Det finns lugn och ganska förutom att de jÀttande 200-Äriga bomullslövarna och rushen i Rio Hondo-floden ger sin vÀg till Rio Grande. TrÀdhuset har en balkong som över ser en 100 ft damm med franska gÀss och Mallard Ducks.

En kort promenadavstÄnd pÄ andra sidan fastigheten Àr den arbetande delen av gÄrden, som bestÄr av alpacas, ankor, gÀss, kycklingar och naturligtvis de milda stora pyrenéerna som tittar över alla. Du Àr vÀlkommen att mata Alpacas, lÀra sig om sin historia och pÄ morgonen kan du Àven se en cria (baby Alpaca) eller du kan gÄ till toppen av kullen och titta pÄ kycklingarna.

Det finns massor av vilda djur i dalen och du kan ibland se en björn, coyote, hjort, rÀv eller ens en Àlg pÄ fastigheten.

Vi ligger halvvÀgs mellan Taos och Taos Ski Valley. Ca en 10 minuters bilresa i bÄda riktningarna.

This was an exceptional location. Very quiet, beautiful area, very cute treehouse. Host was on site, very helpful and accommodating. There was a power outage during our stay, but that was not host’s fault, and he was very friendly and kept me updated on the situation. 10/10 would stay here again.

It was fantastic! The grounds were absolutely beautiful. I went there for a solo meditation retreat and I couldn’t have found a more peaceful spot with such breathtaking scenery! Jim and Jun were wonderful hosts and even lent me a phone charger cord when I’d brought the wrong one for my phone. I will go back.

The place was beautiful. The mini fridge in the kitchen was behind cabinet doors that we left open so it could run properly. When we first got there there was a lot of hot air around it. It cooled off nicely after we did that.We enjoyed sitting in the front porch. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. There are however, no more alpacas. They are in the process of trying to move, so they gave the alpacas away. No big deal for us, we loved the tree house.

Had an excellent stay. The Treehouse was very comfortable. The pictures on Vrbo don’t do it justice. The whole property, especially the treehouse, really is something out of a storybook setting. It has to be seen in person to really grasp how spectacular this place is. The owners were very nice with check-in and check-out being a breeze. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Inside and Out!

Everything about our stay was so wonderful. June was such a kind and welcoming host, and the property was one of the most beautiful places that we've ever stayed at! This is a charming little house in a spectacular setting, close enough to Taos to enjoy it, but calm and relaxed in its own way. The hosts were thoughtful and welcoming. Sadly, the alpacas were no longer there, but the surroundings are so lovely that that more than made up for it. Grab it while you can! We would definitely go back.

Fairytale-like Stay!

Magical place!

The Tree House was everything promised and then some. Located in a lovely valley outside Taos, the property is breathtaking with its pond, proximity to the Rio Hondo and feeling of privacy. The facilities are comfortable and complete for a relaxing, refreshing stay. The hosts are available but discreet. A truly special place!

Sanctuary in the High Desert

Jun and Jim’s treehouse on their sanctuary in northern NM was perfect for our stay. It probably works best for a couple but we two girlfriends found it ideal. The guest bed/sofa was comfy. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The area is fortunate to have them and we thank them for our stay.

Tree House Living

I truly enjoyed my stay at the treehouse! Jun and her husband are very nice people! I missed the alpacas by a day or two! They are selling their property. The treehouse was a wonderful respite for me, I just started full retirement! It had everything I needed, I was comfortable, it was clean and ready for me when I moved in I appreciate this very much and the opportunity to have stayed there!

Jim and Jun Greathouse moved from Southwest Kansas for the health benefits of the northern New Mexico climate. Both Jim and Jun are art lovers and this also gave Jim an opportunity to cultivate is art career. Jun also has an alternative medical practice specializing in homeopathy and nutrition.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We purchased this property because of the beauty of Valdez Valley and the mountains. The closeness to the town of Taos and also to Taos Ski Valley.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

It is wonderful to sit on the Tree House balcony looking out over the 100 ft. pond watching the ducks and listening to the sound of the river as it makes its' way to the Rio Grande.
