Cozy and quaint, updated 1930 farmhouse on 5 very private acres, adjacent to Forest Service land. Two bedrooms - one on the main level and one on the upper level, a full bath, well-equipped kitchen and a covered porch with a swing to watch the fabulous sunsets. Two fenced areas for your fur babies, and half of the 2-car garage is available. 3 miles to downtown Custer, 5 miles to Custer State Park, 8 miles to Crazy Horse and 23 miles to Mt. Rushmore. Fishing and hiking everywhere! Come and enjoy! For our guests safety and security of the property, the property is equipped with an exterior video security system with (4) cameras located at 1) front door bell showing the entrance gate and partial patio, 2) storage building to the East approx 40 feet from the house showing the East side of the house and entry gate, 3) on North side of garage showing the parking & garage area and 4) on the West side of the house showing the West yard.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and wouldn’t hesitate to return! The cabin was very clean and well furnished. We had a few troubles related to cabin appliances and door locks but the host was very responsive and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, scenic, and private farmhouse. Our family of four went on various adventures in the area during the day and in the evenings we came back to this sweet hideaway which included evening soaks in the hot tub. The hosts were wonderful and always available if we had any questions.

Loved how quiet and private this property was, yet close to all the attractions in the Hills. The fenced yard was perfect for our kids and dog. The house itself was perfect for our family. Would definitely stay again!

The hosts did a great job of communicating, were flexible offering an early check in - and the property was amazing! Loved the farmhouse, the hot tub, and the views, and our dogs were all about the huge fenced yard.

A private getaway close to all the Black Hills attractions. We were able to do day trips to Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, Custer State Park, and Mt, Rushmore, all with time to come back and soak in the hot tub. Evenings were beautiful from the porch swing, with deer and wild turkeys in the meadow. The happiest guest of all was our dog, who enjoyed the large fenced in yard. We had a wonderful family vacation here and will definitely come back.

This is one of our favorite places we’ve stayed! The property is close to a lot of stuff to do, but it still felt secluded and private. We really enjoyed the porch and the big yard (our dogs were in heaven the whole time!) and the house was well stocked, clean, and very comfortable. The hosts were kind and incredibly responsive, and left great instructions. I would definitely come here again!

Property is exactly as listed. Great communication with the host. It’s clean, quiet and has a nice sized fenced yard for your dogs. Well supplied, they really have thought of everything. We’ve stayed 2 times and plan on booking again! Perfect base for a visit to the hills.

Our family loved our stay at the farmhouse. The property is a great mix of privacy, quiet, nighttime darkness for star gazing and convenient distance from the town of Custer. The price was very reasonable and owners Carrie and Gregg are clear communicators who seem to be available, if needed, but we didn't have any issues that needed addressing. The fenced in yard was huge and our big dog loved it and we loved throwing a football and playing fetch in it. Plenty of deer to observe in the quiet of early morning and evening. The Farmhouse itself was clean, comfortable, cute and great to spend time in. Our son loved the upstairs bedroom and we loved playing Rummicube every night at big square dinner table. We highly recommend.

We absolutely loved this peaceful property. It was so quiet you could only hear the breeze through the pines. Great fenced area for our dogs to run.Wildlife visits the property often. Turkeys, deer regularly. Close to town and well equipped. Would highly recommend.

We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend a few days. The farmhouse had everything we needed. It was minutes from Custer while still being completely private. Should we be able to return to this area again, we'll definitely try to stay again!

Relaxing stay in the woods

The location of this farm house is close to everything you want to see and do but also in a country, private setting. Having the little fenced area in the back for our dogs was so convenient as we usually have to take them out on leashes when we are on vacation. Would definitely stay here again if we come this way in the future.
