About Jon and Lori Gjording

We are retired and live on the property. We love Custer and are happy to be retired here!

Why Jon and Lori Gjording chose Custer

We fell in love with this property the minute we walked onto it. We have done a lot of work to get it to where it is today, including building our home. The views are incredible when looking out onto the golf course and there is always lots of wildlife around. All this and it is still very private and close to town and all the sites. We would love to share our little slice of heaven with you.

An amazing hidden paradise in the Black Hills!!

  • 5 of 5

What an amazing place to stay while visiting the Black Hills! Jon and Lori are great host and make sure you feel “at home” in their hidden paradise! The amenities provided are perfect. The beautiful scenery and wildlife that surround this location is worth the visit alone. Very spacious and quiet setting that you can definitely unwind at. Watching deer while drinking coffee in the morning, campfires every evening and a soak in the hot tub is part of the wonderful experience that our family enjoyed! You are close to all of the major attractions that the Black Hills has to offer including Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Jewel Cave, Hill City, Keystone, Needles Highway, Spearfish Canyon and Deadwood are just some of the things to do there. This is the perfect location to set up base camp. If you are looking for the best place to stay in the Black Hills, this is it. We can’t wait to return!

Broken Bow, Ne

Wonderful getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time! The grounds were beautiful and the hosts are very friendly! We loved feeling like we were in a secluded area but just minutes away from town! The kids thought it was so cool to stay in a camper and we had plenty of space for our family of four. Definitely would recommend this place to family and friends. We would love to come back again!
