About the property

Bear's Den offers all of the comforts of home (and more) but with a view you've been dreaming of!

The master bedroom has a rustic, king size log bed and a stacked stone fireplace as well as a romance-inspiring, heart-shaped jacuzzi tub. To make your stay even more memorable you have an amazing mountain view from the all glass wall in the bedroom.

Upstairs in the loft, you'll find lots to do for fun in the game room which includes a Pac Man arcade that has a total of 60 games on it, a ride-on racing game and NFL Blitz. All games are set on free play. You also have a pool table, air hockey and foosball tables. When you get tired, you can rest and recharge on the loft's king size bed or a movie on the TV/ DVD player and enjoy the electric fireplace.

Through the master bedroom and out onto the deck, you can enjoy the premium jacuzzi hot tub and just bask in the beautiful mountain view!

This is where you can also access the lower level where you will find your additional bedroom boasting a queen size bed, fireplace and HD television with DVD player and more games which consist of scat cat skee ball, lil hoops basketball and Arctic Thunder snowmobile racing arcade! (games are all set on free play)

Better yet, you will also find your own private theater room with a 135" screen and 6 plush theater seats comfy enough for even the longest of trilogies! Please note: to access the lower level (theater and queen bedroom with bathroom), guest have to walk outside onto the covered deck and downstairs. For most people this is not an issue, but if you do not want to go outside onto the back deck to access this lower level we would not recommend this cabin for you.

Fun Cabin in the Woods!

  • 4 of 5

Plenty of fun in this cabin! The layout was a little awkward with the lower level having to be accessed through the master bedroom and outside. The kitchen was a little dark and not quite enough dining space but otherwise, lots of fun and plenty of games. Super clean!! and the Christmas tree was a sweet bonus!

We enjoyed our stay

  • 5 of 5

The pictures made it look like the other bedroom was more accessible than it actually is. Wasn't a big deal. Not as much privacy in the master bedroom because of having to walk thru to go out to access the spare bedroom. Neat concept tho. Kids loved it.

Looking for fun and relaxation

  • 2 of 5

This cabin should only be rented by a small family (not recommend for small children or to be shared ) with old children. The layout is very odd and everything is very compact into the small space. Everything is through the master bedroom (all traffic) : to use the main floor bathroom, washer & dryer is in the master bathroom, access to the hot tub, second bedroom and back deck all are only accessible through the master bedroom . A large heart shaped tub out in the open of the master bedroom (but than again everyone is coming in and out of the bedroom so it would be hard to use it with family around). This cabin is locate way off the main grid so if you are in the game room bed at night it is very dark and view of the stars through the upper windows are beautiful .

Vacationing in an Arcade

  • 4 of 5

Our family (Mom, Dad, and five children ranging from 1 to 13) stayed in this cabin for a week and loved it! Our biggest complaint was the fitted sheet in the master bedroom would not stay in place which made sleeping uncomfortable. The furniture is different than in the pictures. There is plastic theater seating in the basement with the projector, not plush recliners as shown. The living room furniture is also different; not as fancy as what is shown. The woods around the cabin have grown up so that the best view is from the 2nd floor rear windows. The hot tub worked, but is on a different side of the rear porch. The basement is only accessible by going through the master bedroom, outside on a deck, and down a spiral staircase. I would only allow older kids to sleep down there. The games were fun, especially the 80s arcade game with Ms Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga, and about 25 others. They do have some steak knives now, in case you were worried. We had an issue with the projector bulb and a bulb above the cook top. Both were repaired the same day by very courteous and friendly maintenance staff. The roads are scary; they taught me why vehicles have low gears. I used Low 1 and 2 gears in our van while going up or down the steep hills. We saw a mamma bear and three cubs outside the cabin one morning which made the trip for our kids.

Ok if you like the bare minimum in household items

  • 2 of 5

We come to this area every year with the kids. 2 adults and 3 kids. We always try to find a cabin with a lot of games to offer for diff ages which is why we chose this 1. As far as that goes, it was awesome! However, when we get to our cabin each year we don't leave. We want to spend family time together. We cook and eat and everything in our cabin. They left us with only 1 trash bag which made it very difficult with all the cooking we do and the size family we have. They left very little dish soap to wash dishes with but they did leave 2 dishwashing packs which for us was ok but we really needed more. We ended up using the same dishes several times so we needed to be able to wash them several times. There is only 1 steak knife, so if you grill steaks like we did, plan on sharing 1 knife. We cooked in the oven and didn't have pot holders to remove hot pans.

The pull out couch was useless. The springs were missing on a section of the mattress.

There was only 1 blanket left for an "extra" so anyone who gets cold at night would have to deal with it unless they were the lucky 1 w the blanket.

The cabin itself was very dusty. I took a few picks where I wrote messages in the dust. I'll attach if I can.

Fireplace is for looks only. No warmth.

The description isn't clear on the fact that you have to go outside to enter the bottom floor. For us, had we known that we would never have come. We have small children and it was a huge inconvenience for us. That needs to be CLEARLY specified. I see now that it's in the reviews left but we shouldn't have to read those to know this.

If you are a family who stays gone more than being at the cabin, it's fine. Otherwise, unless you plan on bringing on your own necessities, find another cabin.
