Beautiful, fun, like-new cabin
We are a family of five and took our medium-sized dog with us for spring break trip. This place was perfect for us! Two king size beds made sleeping 4 really easy, and then we used one of the two full pullout couches for the fifth person. Everyone was happy!!
Our kids loved the pool table, the movie theater and the hot tub. They had all the channels on TV and a lot of movies so they were always busy in the house.
The location was awesome - just a few minutes out to the Parkway in Pigeon Forge for fun and an easy drive to the Smoky Mountain National Park.
Like many guests who have stayed have noted - the place was pristine in terms of cleanliness. It seemed like a brand new build to us because everything was in such great shape. Sometimes you when you stay at places that accept pets, the place will smell weird - this one smelled exactly like a log cabin should - clean and a bit woody. You would never know staying there that any pet ever set foot in the place! We had a wonderful stay and would recommend Bearfoot Escape to anyone staying in the area.
The only surprise we had is that we were asked to leave a gratuity for the cleaners. As part of our total rental costs, a cleaning fee was included, so I had no idea what amount of gratuity was expected or fair in this case. It may be that it is customary to ask renters to leave tips in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area - but in all the vacation homes in the US we've rented over the years, this is the first time it was explicitly asked for.
Thank you so much on the wonderful review Theresa! We loved having you stay at Bearfoot Escape!
As for the tip envelope, that is something I wasn’t to crazy about in the beginning and it’s purely on the basis of if you want to leave our cleaners something. It’s done in a lot of the cabins in that area. My cleaners are wonderful and if it made them happy I finally agreed. They do a lot of extras for some guests. Example coming and helping them figure out the WiFi or surround sound or lots of extra garbage runs. They come the day of your arrival and leave lights on and walk through to make sure everything’s perfect. We’ve had some guests leave them notes and gifts. I feel like to have someone take such wonderful care of our home the least I can do is let them leave a envelope. I truly hope you werent offended and it’s nots expected.
Thanks again for your wonderful review and we hope you come again.

This is the second time we have stayed here with our dogs and we love it. We love the location. The cabin is so cozy and clean. The property owner is fantastic to work with. We will be back soon!!.
Amazing cabin to celebrate Christmas!
This cabin was perfect for us! We stayed over Christmas and had a wonderful time. Bearfoot Escape was beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The cabin was very clean and very well taken care of. As other reviews have said, the owner has thought of everything.....from popcorn in the movie room to an extra toothbrush in case you forgot to bring one. The location was convenient to everything in Pigeon Forge, but you still felt like you were in the mountains and away from town. The theater room was a hit and enjoyed by everyone in the family. The owner quickly responded to any questions. I would give the property more than 5 stars if I could. We loved it so much we have already booked our next stay at this cabin!
Guest like you makes sharing our vacation home worth while!! The review was great but booking for the next year before you left says everything. Thank you so much.
