Calm Palms is the place to book if you want a conveniently located vacation home with privacy, a heated pool to relax in, and plenty of dockage with easy Gulf or Ocean access. The home features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a spacious open floor plan. The home is located on the corner of a canal and has wonderful views of evening sunsets from the screened-in porch. It comes equipped with everything you need to have a great vacation, including access to kayaks, pool/beach toys, and a gas grill. • Saturday to Saturday rentals unless an exception is granted (more lenient for stays beyond 7 nights)
• Screened in pool enclosure with heated (no extra fee) shallow water pool with lots of seating
• Recreational Kayaks - three single seaters including one with room for a cooler - Included
• Internet/Wifi - Included
• Flat-screen TV's (in living room, king and queen bedrooms) and dvd player – Premium cable, dvds (and you can enter your Netflix account info, if desired, to use on living room tv)
• 3 Bedrooms plus a queen sleeper sofa in living room
• Note: To access the King bedroom you must walk through the bedroom with the twin beds. There is a shared bathroom and large walk-in closet between the bedrooms with a short hallway.
• Appliances - full kitchen with more than ample cookware and dishes
• Full-size washer and dryer
• Water Access - Very quick access to Gulf and easy access to Ocean via Vaca Cut
• Dockage – 50 feet available with fish cleaning station and step down dock for easy water access for swimming or getting on/off boats (additional space for fishing and viewing canal; owners' boat kept on property on boat lift as well)
• Private yard and driveway
• Enough space for 3 cars/trucks or boat trailer and 2 cars/trucks
• Bait and fish freezer outdoors
• Outdoor gas grill

• Please note that this home only allows minimum night stays of 7 nights or longer. This is enforced by the City of Marathon and we cannot make any exceptions. Check in/out is typically on Saturdays. If you wish to have another day please send a message to see if your request can be accommodated.
• No pets please with the exception of registered service animals disclosed in advance.
• 8 people maximum per City of Marathon regulations (Your group will be asked to leave if in violation as it jeopardizes our rental license.)

Amazing property

Great Christmas in the Keys experience for our family. It was so nice to have the pool, and kayaking alongside mantees was amazing. The aquarium was within walking distance. The week went by too quickly. Would definitely stay again.

Had everything going for it. Pool area was fantastic and the shade over the pool worked very well. Loads of dock space and plenty of towels. The WIFI was quick and reached everywhere. Quick gulf access to both oceans via the vaca cut by boat. We would definitely return here.

Awesome home with great views!

My family and I stayed at Calm Palms recently and it was an amazing experience for us all. The property offered everything anyone could ask for. The kitchen was completely stocked, home was clean, pool area and backyard offered great views of the sunset. There was plenty of space to dock our 22’ boat and room for our trailer in the front of the home. It was conveniently located near the public boat ramp and just a short boat ride to the Gulf and the Atlantic for great fishing and snorkeling . Overall, we had an amazing stay and will be back in the future!

Calm Palms Unwind

Spent the week at Calm Palms and it was a wonderful time to unwind for our family. The space was well suited to our family. The house was clean, well stocked and in a great location in Marathon. The pool was well used as were the kayaks. We saw manatee and tarpon in the channel and caught a few fish during our stay. This is a great rental for a family of all ages and overall one of the best properties our family has stayed at. The owners were easily accessible with any questions we had and check in and check our was a breeze. The Bisel Family

We are the Knight family and are happy to share our home with guests when we are not enjoying it ourselves. Our daughter, Laura, and her husband and son reside in Marathon full-time and help to take care of the property.

Why they chose this property

This home is in a very safe, family neighborhood on the Gulf side of the island. Nearby, there are public boat ramps as well as several restaurants and parks. Home is within a few miles of grocery stores and Sombrero Beach and Coco Plum Beach. As a neighborhood bonus, manatees love our canal, so there is a good chance you will see them during your stay!

What makes this property unique

This home is ideally located for boaters who want easy to access to both the Gulf and the Ocean via Vaca Cut. The is ample dockage for your boat (or rental), a step down dock with a ladder, and three kayaks included for your use. There are lots of places to explore right from the back door!
