Great getaway

A wonderful place to unplug and unwind, but close enough to take a short drive to beautiful sights, historic places, and fun activities. Host is very easy to work with- property is as described and pictured. We loved our stay!

Amazing weekend with friends. We wanted a relaxing trip away from it all and that’s exactly what we got. Fishing action from the dock was great, with multiple good sized catfish and one over 24 inches. The house has a great setup and is in a peaceful area. We even had a few close fly-bys from some bal eagles. Dustin was great to work with and extremely responsive. Would 100% stay here again.

Great place to recharge

We had a great time. The house was very nicely appointed. We loved the hot tub and the dock and sitting around the fire pit in the swings. The fenced yard was especially nice to keep our miniature dachshund from visiting the creek unchaperoned.

Perfect and Peaceful

Truly a special place. House is well stocked and is even nicer in person. Very quiet neighborhood with a beautiful back yard. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, sitting by the fire pit, and the hot tub is perfect. Beautiful setting, if your looking for peace and quiet don’t hesitate to stay here. We rarely give five stars but this house deserves more.

Sisters Getaway

Great!

Great house for a quiet getaway. Back of house overlooks the bend of a beautiful creek. House is immaculate and well-equipped. Fully fenced backyard is nice for a dog to be let outside.

King and queen courthouse

Beautiful place, private and well appointed. Property is in a fantastic rural location, stop and get some groceries on the way in. Dock and creek are awesome place to relax with the family. We went to busch gardens and Williamsburg several days, bit of a drive. However the place is so comfy you won't mind. Would definitely stay again.

Owner is Awesome

The house was extremely clean and had everything you would need. Dustin was quite responsive and accommodating. We stayed there for a wedding so we didn't have time to enjoy the hot tub and water activities. A perfect place for a family - - children (and others) would certainly the kid's room.

Perfect place to REALLY relax

This place is very inviting with its modern decor. My husband and I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere with it’s comfortable sitting area. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals. The master bed was firm but very comfortable. The surrounding area doesn’t have a lot to do but we did not stay here to keep busy. It was perfect for the relaxation we needed with a super quiet, cozy home away from home feel. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Short winter stay

We stayed short term for 2 nights while visiting William and Mary. While it was not the closest to our destination, it was an easy commute to the Colonia Williamsburg area. The house was very clean and exactly as listed, and the secluded location was very peaceful, making it easy to unwind and enjoy the hot tub at night and creek views in the morning. Communication with the owner was easy with quick responses to all questions.

Rest and relaxation !

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is located down a quiet road and we heard nothing but the creek noise all week. Fishing from the dock was a blast- caught lots of fish and a few turtles. Home is fully stocked- bring yourself and you are good to go! The tandom kayaks and outdoor swings around the fire pit were a bonus!

This home has it all!

We chose this rental property for our annual girls gathering and we're not disappointed! The home is quite spacious, great floor plan, and very well appointed. And, super clean! The view of the water is enough to make you want to stay forever! We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen, hot tub, swings and daily walks through the neighborhood. Dustin was easy to reach and responded very quickly. You just need to unpack your clothes, sit back and say "Ahhhhhhhhhhh...."! We plan to book again in March!

Pre-Thanksgiving Tradition

I celebrate Thanksgiving every year with a weekend away with my grown kids and their families. I find a different house each year, and this one did not disappoint! Dustin was very responsive and immediately took care of an issue with downed limbs on the deck and firepit. The open layout of the house was perfect for my grandson, who never stops moving! The house was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and we really enjoyed the firepit and swings. The quiet location and beautiful sunsets over the creek added to our weekend. It was a wonderful place to stay and I would definitely reccomend...

Marvelous, peaceful spot!

This was our second time at this fantastic house, and we enjoyed every minute! Indoors, everything is comfortable and welcoming, with a nicely-outfitted kitchen, perfect-for-lounging living room, and excellent beds and shower. Outdoors is the gem - we had fun on the dock and Jon boat - only caught one catfish but still fun - and the view of the creek and the woods is just gorgeous. It’s the peace and quiet that were especially amazing. Bonfires in the fire pit were fantastic, and we enjoyed the nice grill and meals on the deck. Nothing to interrupt but sweet birdsong and the hoot of owls. Lovely! Dustin was a terrific host, you can see lots of care goes into making the place just right. A delightful stay in every way, and we can’t wait to return!

Rural River Hideaway

Our week-long stay at this lovely two-story country home was nothing short of fantastic! Situated amidst serene surroundings, we found ourselves immersed in both comfort and adventure. The house was tastefully decorated and clean, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we stepped in. The property owner was incredibly responsive, promptly addressing any questions or concerns we had, which made our experience even more enjoyable. From the hot tub relaxation sessions to exciting kayak adventures on the nearby waters, there was never a dull moment. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the breathtaking views visible through the windows and enjoyed from the cozy balcony upstairs. Whether it was sipping morning coffee or sitting on swings and fire pit at night, it was all delightful. Our visit to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg that were both a 60 min drive, was made even more memorable by our comfortable stay at this charming country retreat.

Very relaxing and enjoyable vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the Creek. We rented the creek house out for my dad's 72nd birthday. He loves to fish and he had an amazing time here. The house was very well kept and the walk down to the creek was very simple and enjoyable. My father just had a hip replaced a month ago and had no problems walking down to fish. He caught a lot of large catfish on liver and a cork, many small white bass and perch on jigs and a small largemouth bass on white spinner bait. We didn't use the available boat or kayaks, but they were there for us if we wanted to. We didn't expect it but the creek is really affected by the tides, which was neat. We saw Bald eagles every day and that was a plus also. He had everything we needed to fix lunch and dinner daily. The swings in the back are really nice and there is a fire pit and hot tub there as well. Also the back yard is fully fenced if you bring your dog with you, that was helpful as well. Just very cozy overall and we will be back for sure.

Gorgeous Spot on the Creek

We had a lovely time at this beautiful, secluded home. The house was perfectly outfitted, with a wonderful kitchen, comfortable beds and beautiful spaces indoors and out for relaxing. Dustin was a very thoughtful host and made it easy for us to book a last-minute additional night. The view of the woods, creek and marshes was a daily joy, even in the rain. A sweet little stroll takes you to the dock, where all sorts of wildlife can be seen and heard. Just beautiful. We can't wait to return when it's fishing weather!

A Beautiful Meeting Place

I have many family and friends within an hour of this area. Traveling in from out of town, it was easiest to rent this home and bring them all together in one location. The views are breathtaking and the comforts and decor of the home are equally luxurious. Although I was the only overnight guest, everyone loved their visit and felt like they were on vacation too. We were able to share a meal in the well-equipped kitchen. Many of them said that they would also rent this home out in the future for a gathering place for holidays and reunions. Spotless, luxurious, quiet, and a little slice of paradise.

Why they chose this property

We love the water and all kinds of water sports. We were looking for a vacation property that was secluded, had deep water access, and that had fishing opportunities. This has it all. We love to spend time outdoors as well so we build a backyard that is fun! We added a hot tub, swings and firepit.
