Paradise
Perfect getaway for teens and adults. House was wonderful and had everything you could need. Hosts were fantastic and gave great recommendations for local spots and a goat farm. We will definitely return again and will recommend this oasis to all!

Wonderful Gem Convenient to Williamsburg and More!
I sent my retired parents to the Little Red Barn as a gift, and they loved it! All my communications with the hosts were friendly, easy and great! I asked my parents to send me their reviews so others could read about a great find. From one parent: We enjoyed our stay at the Little Red Barn immensely. Its location was an excellent jumping-off point for our tours of the Historic Triangle of Williamsburg. Each day we looked forward to returning to our “home away from home” and only wished we had more time to explore the surroundings with our dog. We highly recommend the Little Red Barn for a stay in the Williamsburg/Richmond area! From the other parent: We just loved the Tiny Red Barn! It was so comfy and cozy. Decorated beautifully. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well. The kitchen was well stocked. The grounds were beautiful. Too cold to sit on the beautiful porch. The place even had a fire pit, picnic table and gas grill. All in red!! We truly enjoyed our visit.

Beautiful setting!
We loved every minute of our stay at the tiny red barn. The barn is well decorated and enjoyed our night fire and watching Christmas movies. Just a short distance to Williamsburg. The perfect location to relax and unwind. We enjoyed the fresh cookies upon arrival and the selection of hot teas. Definitely recommend!

Little Red Dream
There aren’t enough nice things to say about the Little Red Barn! We had a slight change in our travel plans and Virginia could not have been more gracious & accommodating. My sister-in-law made the trip with me and we both unanimously said as soon as we settled in, “We could live here!” Virginia met us when we arrived and showed us everything we needed to know. From the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies waiting for us when we arrived to the beautifully decorated unit, the perfectly appointed kitchen and bathroom, the peaceful, serene grounds and view of the reservoir, the holiday decorations and warm hospitality- everything was just perfect. We totally fell in love with the Little Red Barn & can’t wait to come back again! Virginia & Stephen attend to your every need when you stay with them. Their hospitality & beautiful property were the high point of our trip. Thank you for such a wonderful stay and the delightful home made soap! We hope to see you again soon! Merry Christmas! 🎄

We are a husband and wife team with many years of experience in remodeling homes and spaces, building, and property management. We are excited to share our 26 acres of nature with water views and access to anyone that wants a true getaway. Our new Tiny Red Barn provides the perfect location for resetting and refreshing. We look forward to your visit.

Why they chose this property

In 2013 we decided to leave NYC after Stephens lifelong residency, to come to Virginia to get away from the stress of the big apple. We set out to tour many rural areas in search of a perfect location to build an Arts and Crafts home. We arrived at this property and took the long walk from the street to the waterfront. It was winter. As we walked over the hill, we were able to see hundreds of geese sitting on the layer of ice that had covered the reservoir. Moments later they heard us, lifted off the ice in unison and flew overhead chattering like a beautiful chorus of nature. Yep, that was it. To have this scene knowing there was much more to come, we found our forever home. For us it's the ultimate water-view that will never threaten our home.

What makes this property unique

Note: We are a rural location, but just 15 minutes from anything you could need. Interstate, grocery, restaurants etc.
