Very Clean. Nice layout to give space for everyone. Plenty of games for the kids. Great hot tub. We enjoyed fishing directly from the dock and those who didn’t want to go all the way down could watch from the deck.

June 2025 Family Trip

Really wonderful trip in a great house. Boat rentals are very close. Highly recommend this house. Would suggest bringing something to repel ticks.

Best Smith Mountain Lake vacation yet. Great house for a family vacation. So much room and so much to do inside and out. Pool table, video games and air hockey. Fabulous deck with lots of seating. Great dock with loads of chairs and a picnic table. Kayaks for the water lovers. Our group included several that love to cook and the kitchen is very well stocked.

Family Vaca

Spent a week with the family....7 of adults with a 2 yr old and 2 dogs. It was the perfect place. Lots of room and dock was great. We will definitely rent from here again.

Awesome spot, would stay again

Really is an awesome property. Loaded with toys, everything needed for kayaking, bonfire, wood, etc. Plenty of room for our party of 10. Very clean too and perfect distance away from everything to avoid the residual effects of boat traffic. We’d definitely stay here again.

Perfect family lake trip

The layout of this property is great , fire pit with plenty of fire wood, hot tub was nice , the dock was adequate for the boat we rented, and even caught a few fish off the dock. With 5 bedrooms it was easy to accommodate the entire family and everyone could do their own thing. Plenty of space and privacy for everyone.

Wonderful Property!

This property exceeded expectations! My family, including the grandparents, had a wonderful, relaxing time. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated. Everyone enjoyed the inside games and the outside amenities. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Did not want to leave!

We had a wonderful time at SML! The house was amazing! The house was clean, beautiful, and was filled with everything we needed for a great vacation. We loved taking the kayaks out each day with the kids. They especially loved jumping and playing in the lake and roasting marshmallows by the fire pit. I can't say enough amazing things about this rental property!

Family lake vacation

The listing and photos were spot on. Everything was great! Spaces within the house and around the property were perfect for gathering on game nights or to be alone for a few. Views were panoramic from property. Love floating from dock and fishing from all along the property. The space on the lower level were perfect for the “younger” adults and their children. This is a property we are looking forward to visiting yearly!! Loved it!!

Lake retreat

The lake house was in a perfect location and the amenities were great . I do think that the house is a little pricy for the house being a little dated , the basement Was a musky and maybe check the bunk beds as my son got lots of bites sleeping in there. we also noticed bugs in kitchen . I suggest the owners spray more for future renters

Epic Memorial Day getaway!

What a rental! The property is great - lots of lakefront and privacy. Not a steep lot so it’s easy to get to the dock. The dock was great - we enjoyed the kayaks that were available to use. We also rented paddle boards and a jet ski from mariners landing right around the corner. The house is amazing - very clean, and extremely well equipped. Casago makes sure you have everything you need - towels, TP, PT, soap - you don’t need to bring anything other than food and drink. Kitchen had everything to cook at home. Mariners landing also has a really good restaurant 2 minute drive away. 5 stars we would definitely rent again and will always look to rent casago managed properties.

Easter weekend getaway

This was our second time staying at this property because we love it so much. It is an amazing house and the perfect location for us to meet family from NC and our college age kids - with our dogs too! The house is deceivingly big with large bedrooms and plenty of room to spread out in multiple well-appointed seating areas. The house was spotless and had everything we needed for a fabulous long weekend. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate for us to really enjoy the water this time, we still got to take in the beautiful view with so much unobstructed shoreline. We got into the hot tub, did a large puzzle on the dining table and got plenty of use out of the pool table and other games in the basement. It was just a great place for us to be together. Thank you for accommodating us! I hope we can come back when it’s warmer!

Sounded great, turned out to be even better

I'm a bit afraid to leave a review, because it will make it even harder to book here in the future. The location is great - a deep water, wide inlet that feels like its own small lake, but is protected from the bigger open water of SML. The lovely property is on a point with eastern exposure, which the elevated deck takes great advantage of. The house is extremely well renovated, in a nicely understated way. It deserves the label "luxury." It was way more than we needed for the three of us - it could easily have handled a dozen. this was our first time to SML, and were blown away. It's a big, beautiful lake right up against Smith Mountain. We don't like most southern man-made lakes because they seem silty - the water here was clean and warm - excellent for swimming. This is the first time we've booked a pet-friendly property and we were a bit anxious about finding everything covered in pet hair (we're hypoallergenic labradoodle people). But nothing to fear - the place was spotless (and hairless!). The property had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. There is only one piece of constructive criticism: EVERYTHING was great except for, wait for it, the silverware: cheap and flimsy and lacking even a single soup spoon. A small thing, but it was such a jarring contrast to the excellence of truly everything else on the property.

Beautiful lake view

We had the pleasure of staying at this property over Labor Day weekend. There were 8 of us, so there was plenty of room. Kitchen and bathrooms were updated. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. The patio area with the fire pit was great. Dock was very nice. Overall we were very happy with staying here.

3 days at Lake Point Retreat

Absolutely loved the house!! Great location on the lake with extremely easy access to the dock. House was very clean and welcoming. Kitchen was very well stocked with nice pots, pans and utensils. If go back to Smith Mtn Lake would love to stay there again. Would highly recommend this property.
