Great private beach to getaway

Love the property - vegetation is still recovering from hurricane - but that’s expected - I did find out we paid 1 1/2 times more per night for our stay than another couple who booked at the same time - that is concerning - is it VRBO that makes it so much higher ?

Great Winter Get Away

Property manager was very helpful. The unit was clean and well stocked. We stayed in the same unit last year. It was the same, all in good order. The property remains in bad shape, following the storm. Understandable. We hope the owners are committed to restoring it. It will take time. Still a wonderful location right on the beach.

We had a relaxing and beautiful stay. Great views (double rainbow, beach, sunset), comfortable bed, nice kitchenette, quiet and clean. We couldn't ask for more and we would love to come back!

Vacation getaway

The condo was nice and had a really good view. Especially sunset! It’s location is just a short drive to restaurants, shopping and jet ski rentals. The turtle bar cafe was good and the shore restaurant was amazing! Would love to go back again and try out some other activities and restaurants.

The Beach on Longboat Key

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was easy to check in to and out of. Easy to find and we were on 2nd floor and view of beach, ocean and nightly sunsets were SPECTACULAR! Bed was very comfortable and bath towels were good quality. We arrived at night and stairwell to 2nd floor and hallway was pitch black; we had to use our Iphone flashlights for safety. This was reported. Condo decor was a little tired. Oven was filthy and cooktop was dirty and very worn. There were limited kitchen amenities. Suggestion is to supply small bottle of diswashing liquid and a sponge. Bring your own bar of soap or bath gel soap; only two tiny bars were supplied. TV was very difficult to figure out and hubby is super high tech; he finally was able to get it working. Despite a few suggestions, we had a very relaxing stay on the beach and enjoyed the lounge chairs and umbrellas that were provided. Thank you.

Beautiful Beach

Can't say enough about how beautiful the beach and set up was! Loved it! It's small and quiet, no large crowds anywhere. Perfect set up for us as a couple looking to just relax and put our feet in the sand for a short vaca while combing a trip to the east coast to visit family. Our first time on Long Boat Key and really hope to come back!

Great location, nice space

The unit itself is very clean, and in a great location. The 2nd floor balcony has a great view of the beach and sunset. The beach is rather quiet (or at least it was while we were there). The unit itself is updated and in great shape. The property was in the process of repaving the parking lot while we were there, so kept up nicely. We also use the grill, which was in nice enough shape considering it is for communal use. The only restaurant within walking distance is the Turtle coffee shop. It's a really nice place for breakfast and coffee. I would definitely stay there again.

Reviewer Comments: I’ll start with the good....great view from balcony!Not so good....very uncomfortable bed, dirty floors, mold and mildew on shower walls and shower curtain. And why is it necessary to charge a cleaning fee when we as guests are required to do part of the work?

Simplicity, Tranquil & Main Event? The Ocean!

There are so many high rise buildings all around on this peaceful, no crowd area of Longboat Keys. We loved the ease of a simple, quiet 2 story structure, lucky enough to get the 2nd floor glorious view of the ocean. For 2 people, we had everything we could possibly want in this clean suite spending most our time on the balcony watching the birds & bunnies while listening to calming lull of the ocean in the evenings coaxing us to sleep. No hoards of people. Just simple. Two great restaurants we went to were Dry Dock Waterfront Grill & The Lazy Lobster of Longboat. This was a good stay for a waterfront accommodation. Easy in & easy out.
